We recently dined here as a party of 6. We were seated promptly and easily ordered food and drinks. As the evening progressed and we had eaten our main meal which was delicious, we found that it seemed the waitstaff had forgotten about us. We obtained a menu to consider dessert and a new waiter asked if we were ready to order our food. He seemed confused as to where we were in our meal expecting us to order dinner. We ordered dessert and waited and waited and waited for it to arrive. When I questioned where our dessert was, the waitstaff apologized and said they'd check on it. They also said they would adjust the check in an apology; however, they reneged on that because our dessert was ready when they went back to check. (The dessert was supposed to be a mousse with banana ice cream.) It had been sitting so long, the mousse was not fluffy and mousse-like. They did not adjust the check and also assessed a 12.5% service charge where many only do 10%, but the service was lousy. Had we not questioned where our dessert was, who knows when we would've received it! It is a shame the service hindered a higher review!

First time out in months
Got an overpriced burger the bun wasnt toasted and it was Flavourless chips were nice. I didnt feel good after eating the Burger kept repeating on me wasnt a nice feeling.
Staff were attentive.
Dessert was nice a bit on the small side passionfruit cheesecake.
I would not eat here again.

Went to Cafe En Seine last weekend to celebrate my birthday with my husband. Staff at reception are always so nice and attentive. We had dinner, food was fab as always and they even prepared a birthday dessert for me which was really nice & thoughtful. Always have a lovely time here. We will be back as always ! Thanks for making my birthday so special during these mad times !

before we went to cafe en Seine we went to ferry and draper where we met an Irish couple who where very nice and invited us to go along with them to cafe en Seine, upon arrival the bouncer let the Irish couple in and turned us away and said “not tonight” the Irish couple tried talking to the bouncer saying that we were with them but the bouncer repeatedly just said “not tonight”. We were dressed appropriately and were sober as it was only 10/11pm. I asked him why and he said “I don’t need to tell you” as this was happening he was letting other people in, I asked if I could speak to the manager and he said “no”. The bouncer was very rude and obnoxious and discriminated against us. A lot of people we spoke to recommenced cafe en Seine and we were very outraged with the service we received. Looking at previous reviews shows that this is not the first time they have discriminated against other people and is inexcusable that they have obviously done nothing to change that! We will never be returning to that over rated, distasteful place.

Myself and the party I was with, totaling 6 people, went to Café en Seine to celebrate my sisters graduation, on a Wednesday evening at 5pm. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, 5 cocktails, a pint of carlsberg, and our food order with a woman who seemed to be the floor supervisor. Everything arrived to the table at the exact same time, 15 minutes later. As there were 3 portions of mussels (which seemed to be prepared from frozen) on our very small table, it was very comfortable to eat our starters and the floor staff didn't help to accomodate us. Both my sister and I had drinks spilled on us by the waiting staff (a grenadine based cocktail on my white dress, and red wine on my sister's white trousers) We were offered soda water, and nothing more. It was 30 minutes later before someone approached our table again.
As our starters were being taken away, a dish (which was heavy to be fair) smashed beside my sister, covering her in grease. The cocktails were taken away, and we were not asked if we wanted anymore drinks. We had to call the staff to our table several times to ask for more water, despite being seated right beside the bar. We waited 45 minutes for our mains to appear, and I had to call the woman who had taken our order to see how long we could remain at the table, due to time limits with COVID. Both of the wines were finished and taken away, and yet we were not asked for another round of drinks. Due to the fault in the kitchen, we were begrudgingly given extra time on our table, and order desserts and another round of cocktails. The cocktails were good, and dessert was fine. The food was the only saving grace of the evening.
Despite the fact that our bill ran to €500 on a Wednesday afternoon, and after we had expressed calmly to management how disappointed we were in terms of service, we weren't offered a shot of limoncello or some other apertif on the house. There were 6 different floor staff in our section, who did the bare minimum, and we were the only party of six in our area for the majority of our meal. The food runner seemed to be the only person who was able to do his job effectively, and even then he was rude. As someone who is currrently working as a bar manager, and has done so for the past 7 years, I have never experienced such poor service in my life. I wouldn't recommend Café en Seine to anybody, unless they want to waste their money and an afternoon of their lives.

I visit this location regularly with the company my partner & myself work for.
When my partner myself & another couple went to have a quite drink at roughly 10pm last night we were refused entry due to my partner wearing trainers. (The trainers he was wearing cost €395-Alexander McQueen) These trainers were dressed with smart attire which was not casual.
The doorman replied ‘We have a few people inside wearing trainers so we can’t have anymore’.
My partner was in the same location last week for after work drinks wearing the same trainers yet he was not refused entry as the company we work for had a credit card on tab.
I would not recommend this venue if you do not have a reservation with a credit card on tab as you may be refused entry due to your choice of attire.

I went several times to Cafe en Seine for brunch and the experience was excellent. The services and food were outstanding. Unfortunately, my friends and I did not have such a great experience last Sunday.
While the service was very good, the brunch menu was very poor in regards the prices.
My friends got a chicken sandwich with fries and I got a beef sandwich with fries. The sandwiches were just fine. They were poor taking into consideration that we paid more than 10 euros for it.
I hope they improve their brunch menu.

We had a booking and were still waiting for 40 minutes for a table and once we got a table we waited a further 20 minutes to get a menu. When we finally got our food it was cold and tiny for the prices they charge. The service was appalling, I would not recommend.

The place is pristine and spacious, with guaranteed social distancing. The food was lovely and so were the cocktails. To my disappointment, I ordered some extra sides and dessert later that evening that were never served to me and it was added in the final bill. I thought the kitchen had closed and they mustn't have made it before closing, as they did warn that the kitchen is closing soon. Also, we waited 30 minutes to pay for everything - after asking 2 of the staff with the card machine. The couples beside us were given it before us and that was very rude and annoying to disregard our presence.

Met up with friends for a quick drink and ended up staying all evening! The decor is unbelievable and it is just the perfect place to spend quality time with friends. There is a lovely atmosphere throughout and a great mix of people.The staff were friendly and courteous and were helpful with recommendations for food which was delicious when it came. Spotlessly clean toilets. Can’t wait to return next week and savor it all over again!

What a lovely place for anniversary meal. We were in Dublin for the weekend and absolutely loved it here. Possibly the nicest venue for a restaurant I’ve ever been in. The food was well presented & tasty and cocktails were presented with elegance and care. Drinks were pricey but delicious and a varying selection of prices were offered on the food menu. Staff attended to all our needs, were professional and a great friendly humour made us feel welcome. I will be back next time Dublin

Went for an early evening dinner with my brother. Had a lovely seat outside. Menu was nice.
The waitress seemed to be 'performing' as opposed to communicating and was exhausting to deal with.
Food and wine, however, were delicious.
We ordered the antipasto to share as a starter... and she brought our mains to the table while we were still eating and offered to 'take the platter out of our way'. It was the most bizarre experience.
Another odd thing is how the menu is written - the 'headline' is not really the dish - for example, the 'Goat's cheese' is actually a pithivier pie... 'French dip' means nothing - it's roast beef. You don't usually have to read the whole description to know you're interested in the dish!

My friends and I came here to celebrate a successful PhD viva, but could not have left with a worse feeling after coming here.
When we called to booked, we had a number of confusing conversations where we were told we have to pay €20 per person to book for our group, in order to cover the cost of food platters. We had several back and forth conversations to clarify what this meant
We told them there would be 16 of us. We each paid €20. What we received was 4 platters, enough to feed 6, at the very best. When questioned, the staff became confrontational (with the exception of one lovely women - to you, thank you).
We ended up paying €320 for the mere "privilege" of sitting inside and eating a bite or two each.
This is the worst place I have ever been.

Came here last night with my partner and all I can say is the staff were very friendly, charming and helpful especially David he went above and beyond to keep checking up on our table to make sure we were happy and were enjoying our cocktails and the food we had ordered I was really impressed. All I can say is we will definitely be back to this lively restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to go and relax and enjoy good cocktails and food.
Keep up the good work guys in this difficult times use definitely deserve the recognition. *****

My sons ages 20 and 22 took me for lunch while on a trip to Dublin. The youngest approached the desk and asked for a table. The lady advised that she couldn’t serve him as his brother was wearing a tracksuit pants. When I stepped forward to object she conceded that she would serve us at a table near the bus stop but not in the area through the building. Very very poor for cafe en Seine
