2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

I visited this pub yesterday for some food and drink. The hamburger looked and tasted like something cooked the day before. The pint of Guinness as usual was top class. I was most disappointed and hope that management of the food section take note of my comment.

Just arrived in Dublin & didn't want to eat in Temple Bar Area, but wanted authentic Irish Pub/Grub.. we were staying at the Ashling Hotel, & wandered past to find this amazing pub, the staff were lovely, & all having fun while working hard! They could not have been more genuine & on the ball. The food was the best... More

With a famous bar downstairs and a world-class steakhouse upstairs, you can't go wrong! FX Buckley: We had the steak tartare, medallions of filet beef, and the creme brulee. Best steak tartare ever! Make sure you make reservations because there are only something like ten tables! Ryans of Parkgate Street: go for the clock, stay for the food! The bartenders... More

Stone's throw from the Ashling hotel. We had made 12:15 reservations on a Wed on Pattys week. The restaurant is located upstairs (not accessible) and was empty when we arrived but filled up after 1pm with locals. We had a soup and sandwich plate, a sirloin steak, liver pate and seafood chowder. The steak was a little tough and chewy... More

i had a good experience with colleagues there. downstairs there is an typical irish bar with an good rustic atmosphere. upstairs is a quiet lovely and small room where you have a family feeling. The service is friendly and the dishes and taste was better than the fx Buckley Bullhouse downtown.

Just been here last night for the second time. Steaks as well as the sides were phenomenal! But I wish they would have a better beer selection to match up with the great steaks.

Description
Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.
