Peploe's is chic, sophisticated and probably the bubbliest restaurant in Dublin. Refurbished in August 2017 to a beautiful finish reminiscent of an old world Paris brasserie but with the quirks of a modern New York Bistro. A visit to Dublin is not complete without a visit to Peploe's St Stephens Green. Vegan/Vegetarian menu also available.

I went to this restaurant this evening with a friend this evening. The host was very friendly and sat us at a nice table. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was served in a good time with a tasteful presentation ....My starter, the parma ham and mozzarella, was delicious. They also had really good cocktails. The only fault was that my friend was gluten and dairy free and there dessert options were very limited for him.More

Went to Peploes 24 Nov 2021 at about noon Order french onion soup and fillet steak Soup was "nuclear" hot. Untouchable for a least 10mins. Suspect that the bowl was pre-heated Discretely brought to the attention of waiter who said better than being cold Not...likely to re-visitMore

Great reviews and compliments from our friends brought us here. Staff very friendly and well trained- restaurant cramped and was quite noisy the time we were there at 3.30pm Portions small so dont arrive hungry - nice wines but their gin and tonics need some...flair added - 2 ice cubes and a slice of withered lemon didn't go down too well at the prices charged. All in all a nice experience but room for improvementMore

How has this restaurant continued with a wonderful decor and design but mediocre cuisine!! If only this room had the food to match it. Starters were decent vegetable tempura was very tasty and the salmon and crab was commendable. However, this restaurant is consistently let...down by its kitchen. Roast root veg side tasteless, and whatever potato dish we got was indedible. Milenese chicken and monkfish not of restaurant standard. Ps glass of pouilly fume 14 euro. Hey, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!!!More

Upon arrival, although we had made a reservation days in advance, we were first offered a table where there should not be a table, in the passage right in the entrance. We declined. I thought this was going to be a sad evening, but it...was not. They offered us to stay at the bar and wait for another table. We had drinks, took a look at the menu and the wine list and by the time they came to take us to another table we were ready to order. Food was good, not excellent -vegetarian option, just one, so no choice, and not really exciting, salmon and crab a bit dry, meat tasty and good, desert a disaster, somebody please shoot the pastry chef, but all along, the staff was there to save the day and handle things and it's because of them I give a four instead of a three.More

First of all the is a top quality restaurant, with Amazing selection of wine and food , but you are going to pay for this so if your price sensitive this wouldn’t be for you ! Superb evening. We used to eat regularly in Peploes when we lived in Dublin around 15 years ago and I was a little worried by some of the recent reviews that it may have changed for the worse. It hasn’t at all. It’s certainly not...the cheapest restaurant but you very much get what you pay for. Buzzing atmosphere, warm and efficient service and first class cooking. Scallop starter with bacon and a gorgeous pumpkin sauce was to die for and then the duck was cooked perfectly. Add an oozing salted caramel chocolate fondant for desert and it added up to a perfect dinner. The wine list is also good, not the tome it used to be to be fair, but there’s something for everyone. Definitely a treat restaurant but couldn’t recommend higher.More

Went for a family dinner. We were looked after very well by staff and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only thing I will say is that the vegan option, which was a chickpea stew, was quite bland in comparison to the other food options. Still...enjoyable but not quite on par with the rest of the menu.More
