Came in here for dinner the other evening with the family, great service. Food was amazing as well as the Guinness. I definitely recommend the Irish Lamb stew, it was stunning. Will come back next time I'm in Dublin.
The pub is visibly a very authentic Irish pub. Very dark which suits the atmosphere, decorated beautifully, spacious, and playing Irish jig's continuously. Upon arriving (18/02/2020), I approached the waitress at the bar which then asked me to sit anywhere. She gave me the menu...but then actually forgot about me. I was sat waiting for her to approach me for over 10 minutes until I approached the bar where she was surprised and laughed. The food arrived fairly quickly and was very delicious. I had the bacon and cabbage, followed by the Bailey's Bread and butter pudding which all fit nicely into 20 Euros. I left the money on the table as I told the male waiter as I was leaving, but the waitress from earlier came running at me as if I was leaving without paying. Pub is great, but the experience was definitely overshadowed by this waitress. Other staff were fine.More
What a little gem of a pub. Perfectly located at the bottom of the hill from our Staycity apartments. Caroline & James made our visits just fab!!! Excellent service with a smile. We will definitely be back. Thanks again guys xxx diolch yn fawr 🏴...love the welsh girls 😘More
It was our last day in Dublin and wanted to treat ourselves to an Irish breakfast. However this was not the case at Ned O'sheas the waiter who took our order was rude and impolite, he didn't even take our order really, he forgot our...beans, teas and coffee. the breakfast was alright. we did not feel welcome in this establishment. I don't know what we did wrong to this poor waiter, he just didn't like us we trying to be apologetic but he wasn't happy with us. Big shout out to the lady, who did bring our teas and coffees she was very nice and polite and spoke to us like we didn't just kill her dog. Come here if you want an alright breakfast and service without a smile.
It was the 6 nations weekend - so they might of been overwhelmed and tired, but still no excuse to be treated that badly.More
We were due to go to the Jamesons distillery which is 2/3 mins walk away so wanted a bit of lunch first to line our stomachs. We found this pub on the way there and I'm so glad we went in (and glad that I...didnt read previous reviews that may have put me off). It was our 1st pint of guiness and was so smooth. Went down a treat. We said to our waitress that we just wanted a lite bite and she recommended the club sandwich and chips to have between us. It was a decent size portion and enough for the both of us. The club sandwich though.... it was AMAZING. The best club sandwich I've had. I will definitely be returning the next time we're in Dublin.More
Arrived from the brazen head with just one pint on us and we were first denied a drink eventhough there were others acting drunk around us. They finally allowed us to have 2 drinks each and then they refused us. Terrible place but I'm sure...my review will be removed.More
O my god, please avoid. We had only entered the premises and were accused of been drunkards although it was only our first drink. Don't know what their problem was, we just left politely. Never felt such hostility in any other premises i ever entered...before.More
