I went in here after my visit across road to the Brazen pub What a great pub and a good alternative to the very packed and bustling oldest pub A well defined out place with many photos and items of Irish famous folk and history...More

The service is not spectacular - somewhat slow - but the atmosphere and food could not be better than O'Shea's Merchant. Lots of lively singing and dancing, even at breakfast. Food is delicious and, once comfortably ensconced in the bar, you won't want to leave!

Full Irish breakfast was outstanding. The black pudding was great, as was the white pudding that I have never tasted before. The service from the staff was great. The lady was friendly and had a great attitude. Highly recommended!!

We wanted a bar that was off the beaten path. We had a great time. Bartenders were great and wonderful time meeting the locals. The fish and chips and Smithwicks were fabulous.

We were walking back after a tour of kilmainham Gaol and stopped for lunch at this pub. Prompt friendly service with good choices for lunch . Steak sandwich and fish and chips were both well seasoned and piping hot .

I visited this restaurant twice during my stay, and I still wish I could've come back a third time. I had the fresh and smoked fish chowder on my first visit, which was phenomenal. My server was absolutely delightful and quick! I came back again...More
