I ended up eating at this establishment because it was close to the hotel. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Food was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the fact that it seemed to be a locals hangout.

The Chicken Curry & Chips from the Carvery Menu is Grade A. One of the few pubs around still offering a Carvery option actually.
