I heard great things upon arrival but it even surpassed expectations. We were greeted upon arrival by a young Irish boy full of charm and treated to an excellent service from what I presume to be the manager. Their success is stemmed from their love...of the trade and it shows.More

Went there after work having a quick drink. Didn’t expect the price… 2 Aperol spritz cost me €32?! I’m not a tourist… it’s a shame if I tell people how much I spent on 2 Aperol spritz. And the drink is flat.

Very good flavoursome food but it seems they are out to extract as much money as possible from you. Wine extremely expensive. Portion veg extr €5, chips extra €5 but the real kick comes at the end with 12.5% service charge added. Didnt notice it...on menu. Checked online menu and it said a "discretionary service charge may be added"....Further down the menu it mentions 10% for parties of 6 or more. There were 4 of us !! Sent them an email about this but they didnt bother responding. This could have become my new favourite place but price gouging left a sour tasteMore

Good price fixed menu. Nice atmosphere. Service was courteous and pleasant, but a bit slow. But delays were not extreme.

We just happened on this lovely restaurant and got a delicious lunch. The crème brûlée was perfect! Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Beautiful decor but so overpriced for what you get! Mostly l I take umbrage to paying 8 euros for an egg cup measure of house wine and then seeing the service charge is already added to the bill - leaving no choice in the tip...you would wish to leave for the service.More

Booked a table for 6 people for a big birthday Unfortunately we had to climb two flights of stairs in this tenement building . Toilets were on the next floor ( no toilet paper) Lovely fire but hot on your back if your table was...beside it The cheapest bottle of wine was 37 euro. They couldn’t write Happy birthday on desert plate We had one drink each & two bottles of wine We all had starters Mains were a high price & sides were 5 euro extra so we only had two between six people We had four deserts between six people Food was good but the bill was a shocker 550 Euro for six people roughly 92 euro each & we all only a small amount of drink each No complimentary drink or sweetMore

Oh dear. For such a pricey chique restsurant we were left waiting for our main course over half an hour. We told waiter we had a concert to go and ended up having to leave just as they were about to serve. The waiter had...the audacity to say he wouldn’t charge us for the dinner (that we couldn’t eat!) But we still had to pay for our starters & drinks. Bad form.More

Visited this restaurant as I had passed this place many times before. The food is pricey but as a treat its great. Food is delicious for sure, service is brilliant too. I was there during a relatively quiet time. I would recommend this restaurant for...sure for all the family as they do a childrens menu too.More

Waited for 40 minutes and there still was no sign of the food we ordered. We decided then to leave. People who arrived after us were served before.

From memory there were options. I found them very accommodating as I don't eat certain foods & they substituted for me. Check out there online menu or mail them.

They do have an email address but Trip Advisor reply process does not allow me to include HTML or website links. Search for Green Hen online, click Facebook link and then additional info. That should get you the email... More
