We sat upstairs and the ambiance was wonderful, especially for Christmas. The food was delicious and the service was excellent...Sue was an amazing host! I highly recommend La Cave and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful lunch never lets us down. Great ambience. Service and food great as always. We are normally there later in the evening but lunch was as atmospheric and great food. Lovely on a cold Saturday afternoon in December

We decided last week on a Friday afternoon long lunch, over a bottle of wine. We were looking for a slow paced afternoon to dine in, what better place to go in the city. Booked in advance to be sure as La Cave can be...busy. We sat downstairs, always cosy & a relaxed atmosphere. There were a few ppl & ourselves so the vibe was good. ( The Covid situation was addressed in all aspects, everyone felt comfortable ) We had two starters, salad & onion soup, both were tasty as you'd expect. Mains were John Dory fish & lamb cutlets. Cooked perfectly and accompanied by delicious tasty veg. We have been to La Cave many times over the years. Its been open a long long time and for good reason. Friendly staff, great wine list & dinner has always been great / good value, particularly for the city. Its ideal for daytime lunch & evening dinner. The owners take great pride, its run like a restaurant unlike many other pop up eateries / restaurants these days. May La Cave continue their success for many more years to come.....More

I have now had 2 visits to La Cava WIne Bar and on both occasions found the food and service excellent. Great athmosphere friendly and fun. For a city centre restaraunt it is great to find such a lovely place.

After searching for restaurants on line, I am pleased I chose La Cave. We had a table for seven people, the food was excellent and a great choice of wine. The service was also first class. I Would definitely recommend to others.

We were visiting Dublin for the weekend and dined in La Cave on Friday night as it had been recommended to us.The food was excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. However on the night we were there the restaurant was having technical...problems with their credit card machine and had only had 2 people serving. This meant that service was very slow and in fact the wine we ordered to go with our meal did not arrive until we had nearly finished our first course. Despite this I would recommend La Cave due to the food and atmosphere and I presume the service problem was a temporary difficulty for them.More

What a treat. Quaint. Cosy. Wonderful value. There were 6 of us squished in and we had a wonderful time. Food was perfect. Atmosphere lovely and it was only 55 a head after lots of the house wine which was perfect. We will 100% be...back. Excellent service too.More

Late lunch with friends at La Cave. Food was excellent, wine also. We went for the 2 or 3 course prix fixe and were very satisfied. Particularly enjoyed pheasant starter and confit duck a l’orange. No problem modifying delicious onion soup for gluten free diner....Only complaint related to uncomfortable seating for some in the booth. Looks nice but poorly paddedMore

We went for early Sunday dinner before Christmas. There were three menus: Christmas, earlybird and a la carte. We all went a la carte. Everything delicious. Created with skill and care and presented beautifully. The staff were always charming and smiling but rushed off their...feet (just two waiters) Great wine list to suit all budgets. Haven’t been in a while but I’ll be back!!More
