Located just off Grafton Street, Gotham Café has consistently offered Dublin diners & visitors a casual & friendly dining experience since 1993, which is unusual for a city centre eatery. The menu caters for all needs whether you are looking for a quick lunch, weekend brunch or a full 3-course meal from an interesting contemporary menu. We have a number of different options including our signature Woodstone pizzas, burgers, steaks, seafood and healthy main course salads. We are proud to offer a number of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options too. We are fully licensed and offer a great selection of carefully selected & reasonably priced wines, together with enticing cocktails, Irish & international craft beers and a broad choice of non-alcoholic drinks. Gotham Cafe is a beautiful pizzeria restaurant just off of Grafton Street. The staff always go above and beyond for their customers and are so welcoming, friendly and lovely. The pizzas are so tasty and are wood fire pizzas made traditionally, and they have incredible G&T’s and Wine. It’s very cosy, warm and fantastic, always a lovely atmosphere and a restaurant I always love going back to!

Very enjoyable meal on the terrace of Gotham South Anne Street, Dublin 2. Me and my husband both had pizza to eat. Pizzas are always very good at Gotham in our experiences from eating here previously. This time we chose the Flatiron and Upper east side for our meal, both were very tasty so we finished all the slices of both. We had French white wine which was a good quality also. Service from Angelica and Manageress Monika was very good too. May I add prices of food and drinks very reasonably priced. Highly recommended, we will visit again. Regards.

We enjoyed another lovely visit to Gotham Cafe today. We only get to visit this restaurant two or three times a year as we live in the West of Ireland and it’s just lovely to be remembered by the team and to always receive such a lovely warm welcome back. Fantastic service from Monika and Adel and delicious food as always. Highly recommend it, spotlessly clean too, looking forward to a return visit very soon.

Over the last 10 years, we established a little family Christmas tradition where we would visit Gotham Cafe to start celebrating. We always had a great experience there, so much so that this year we decided to bring some of the family with us.
Yes, you guessed right, it all went wrong this year (2019). It started with the selection of the table, we were offered a round table in the very front of the restaurant, right by the door, which would seat 4 but not 6. When we asked the front of house guy if we could have a different table he said he tried to accommodate us but there are no other tables. The back of the restaurant was deserted att that stage. When we pointed that out to him he got all ratty with us and guided us to a corner table in the back.
This review is taking too long to write so I sum up, the food was mediocre and they added a service charge for 4 adults and 2 kids. I did write to Gotham cafe directly and was told that mine was the only complaint they received and that the service charge was added by the staff at their discretion. <-- Get that, staff is allowed to add on random items to the bill.
Anyway, the responding person made it out to be my fault and her entire response was rather defensive than understanding.
We will have to break traditions and find another place of which there are plenty in Dublin and surroundings.

Recently went to Gotham with the family (Wife and 2 children). Asked what the difference between a small and large pizza. Were told one was 9inch, the other 12inch. The kids ordered "midtown" small and I ordered "broadway" large. My wife ordered "Chicken & Smoked Cheese Calzone". When the pizzas arrived there was little or no difference in the size between small and large. One of the kids pizzas has much more topping than the other. My pizza had some cheese, a lot of rocket and 2 cold slices of prosciutto. None of the pizzas were remotely sliced and the knives provided were blunt to say the least. My wifes calzone was just full of cheese rather than chicken.
All in all very disappointing.

Please teach your servers basic manners. We weren’t even gone from our table yet, we were finishing our drinks when the waiter proceeded to start setting the table up for the next diners who must have been coming in afterwards. He didn’t even ask us if it was OK since the table had another booking soon, he in fact didn’t say anything to us at all, he just started laying out new cutlery and serviettes without so much as a word of explanation or apology. Soured the experience completely and won’t be returning as a result.

Really great food, we arrived at a very busy time, there was a couple of available tables, we chose indoors as it was a little cold outside, but it was very noisey for the kids who were really hungry and not keen on the noise. No problem ordering food, but it took a good while for food to come as it was so busy, but food was great, pizza, burger, garlic bread all really tasty. And very reasonable for city centre food, it wasn't as busy when we were leaving which would have been a little quieter or if we had sat outdoors. Overall very good and would visit again though maybe when it's not as busy

We just chanced on this restaurant and are so glad we found it. Great location, reasonable prices and very good food. The staff were helpful as well as friendly. Good gf choices. I have a burger and chips and a cheesecake that was out of this world. My friend had a tasty curry (very mild) and she loved the lemon posset. Can't wait to go back.

I normally don’t write negative comments, and my boyfriend thought his food was very good.
But I have a lot of intolerances (the baddest of them is egg) resulting in always requesting an allergen card when I go to a restaurant. I asked, but didn’t receive anything. The waiter told me to take nothing with mayonaise, so that was it. When I was checking out the menu, I saw a lot of hamburgers, sausages,… Those normally contain eggs. We asked again for a card, but didn’t receive it.
I didn’t dare to take a hamburger or pizza with sausage, so I took a toast with shrimps (appetizer). It smelled good when it came to the table, but the (other) waiter, asked me if I was the one who couldn’t eat egg. I replied and he said to wait 2min. When he returned, he said that I couldn’t eat it and took the plate away from me. I told him that I didn’t want anything else, but my boyfriend could eat his meal. When we wanted to leave (to search again for my food), they came back with the same plate without sauce and other bread (so both of them had eggs in it), but I declined because I couldn’t trust it anymore.
So, in conclusion, I think this restaurant is good, but not for people who have food allergies/intolerances.

I have been coming to Gotham from it's opening way back when and it just goes from strength to strength!!
For lunch myself and pal shared the fabulous crusty garlic baguette, the amazing Sriracha Prawns on Grilled Flatbread and the deliciously fresh Cobb salad. All washed down with a great Albarino at a very reasonable price.
The food is consistently great and the ingredients are always fresh and of the best quality. When I need to know that I will get a top meal out, Gotham Cafe is one of my top 3 go to in Dublin.

What an amazing evening we had at Gotham. Seriously, the cusomer service far exceeds anything I have ever experienced. I felt visible - I felt heard and I felt that these wonderful waitresses would have done anything to ensure I and my family had the best food and the best experience ever. Yes, we left a tip, however I think that it wasn't near enough for the exceptional time we had. Yes, the food was good too. My belief is that you can't have one without the other, good food and good customer service equals and excellent evening.

I made a booking online and attempted to change the booking but the website would not allow me to make the change. I cancelled the booking and made another immediately yet they took 100 euro deposit from my bank account, 50 euro for each booking even though one was in error. I have been a customer here for many years now and always book a table for a minimum of 5/6 people and we have never had to pay a deposit for a meal there. This is a new ruling from the restaurant and while I understand them taking a deposit I have no difficulty paying 50 euro but paying twice for the same day is a bit much. I requested a refund to my Bank account and was told that was not possible so the 100 euro would be deducted from the bill at the end of the evening. I am very unhappy with their decision not to refund directly to my Bank account. They had no problem taking money from my account and yet wouldn’t return same when requested. The staff were not very helpful and most unpleasant. I am so disappointed with them. While the food is ok I will not be returning to this restaurant. There are better restaurants locally with staff who are more courteous respectful of their customers. My advice, stay away!

Had been here a few times back I'm 2019 and loved it, went back today and was slightly disappointed with the food. I got the Vegan burger, which was served cold and it had only just been served! 🙃
Staff were very apologetic and re-heated it and apologised about it but still annoying.
Chip portion has gotten smaller since last vist, or possibly because its now served in a different dish..its hard to tell. Overall, staff were lovely , very nice and attention to detail.

We visited here for lunch while on a day out in Dublin. First time here and it definitely won't be our last.
Staff very friendly and attentive
Service and price points are great
Food was very good as was the Prosecco we had
Overall we had a great experience at the Gotham cafe 5⭐

We came upon here by chance on a family trip to Dublin. Two vegetarians, one vegan and two very conservative meat eaters is a hard job to please. After looking at various places around Grafton Street the menu seemed to suit us all though I was a bit wary as name of cafe seemed gimmicky. The food ordered was a meat pizza, a meat burger, a veggie lunch special, a veggie board with ciabatta and a veggie burger with fries. The veggie boards had cheese but I am sure they could be adapted for vegans as lots of roast veggies, olives, hummous etc. The portions were very generous and the food was just gorgeous. Price wise reasonable given location and size of portions. So good we will be back next month on another trip.
