Great pizza in Dublin. Lots of interesting choices. No Guinness, but would still recommend. Service was good.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Gotham Cafe on South Anne Street. Three of us ate here recently. We all had burgers and chips and then shared two desserts between us. The food was lovely, the service was excellent and the bathroom...was spotless. A big thank you to our server Ava - service with a smile! Well done all!More
This is how a restaurant should be ran. The staff are all very professional and welcoming. We had the chicken burger special and the chicken flat bread both were fabulous. For dessert we had the lemon posset and the cheesecake both were really excellent. The...coffee was very good. A great experience. Can't wait to go back next time I am in DublinMore
Great value 4 money lunch, vegetarian options lovely staff, will be back. Smores was fantastic , great location
Had been here a few times back I'm 2019 and loved it, went back today and was slightly disappointed with the food. I got the Vegan burger, which was served cold and it had only just been served! 🙃 Staff were very apologetic and re-heated...it and apologised about it but still annoying. Chip portion has gotten smaller since last vist, or possibly because its now served in a different dish..its hard to tell. Overall, staff were lovely , very nice and attention to detail.More
Gorgeous food, I cant wait to go back for the pizzas. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Defo worth a visit if in the city especially if you have young kids or teens
I normally don’t write negative comments, and my boyfriend thought his food was very good. But I have a lot of intolerances (the baddest of them is egg) resulting in always requesting an allergen card when I go to a restaurant. I asked, but didn’t...receive anything. The waiter told me to take nothing with mayonaise, so that was it. When I was checking out the menu, I saw a lot of hamburgers, sausages,… Those normally contain eggs. We asked again for a card, but didn’t receive it. I didn’t dare to take a hamburger or pizza with sausage, so I took a toast with shrimps (appetizer). It smelled good when it came to the table, but the (other) waiter, asked me if I was the one who couldn’t eat egg. I replied and he said to wait 2min. When he returned, he said that I couldn’t eat it and took the plate away from me. I told him that I didn’t want anything else, but my boyfriend could eat his meal. When we wanted to leave (to search again for my food), they came back with the same plate without sauce and other bread (so both of them had eggs in it), but I declined because I couldn’t trust it anymore. So, in conclusion, I think this restaurant is good, but not for people who have food allergies/intolerances.More
I called in yesterday (Sunday Afternoon November 20, 2022)solo without a booking and was very kindly facilitated. I had a lovely ciabatta which I enjoyed immensely. The service was very friendly and super efficient. I was blessed to have been accompanied at all. Overall a...lovely visit at very good prices.More
I enjoyed a lovely meal in Gotham Cafe with a friend. The service was really excellent - a helpful staff sourced some delicious freshly squeezed lime juice for my drink! The Vegan burger was great served with lovely chips. Iconic posters of Hot Press covers...decorate the space. We will be back again soon! Thanks to the great team for lovely evening.More
Really great food, we arrived at a very busy time, there was a couple of available tables, we chose indoors as it was a little cold outside, but it was very noisey for the kids who were really hungry and not keen on the noise....No problem ordering food, but it took a good while for food to come as it was so busy, but food was great, pizza, burger, garlic bread all really tasty. And very reasonable for city centre food, it wasn't as busy when we were leaving which would have been a little quieter or if we had sat outdoors. Overall very good and would visit again though maybe when it's not as busyMore
On Thursday evening the 8th September 2022 my wife and I went to the Gotham Cafe , South Anne St. Dublin 2 having booked earlier that day. What should have turned out to be a pleasant experience turned out to be a disaster. Firstly we...entered the restaurant at 7.40 pm approximately and our order was shortly taken thereafter. It was 7.55 pm approximately when our bottle of wine arrived but no starter until 8.10 pm approximately. In fact we had to alert our server before our starter arrived. As we were hungry we we had finished our starter by 8.15 pm . At 8.30pm approximately there was no sign of our pizzas so we had to alert our server again. In fairness he returned and apologised saying that our pizzas were not yet in the oven . We were not happy and at that stage the Manager ( Mark ) approached us He started to lecture us on COVID and the impact it had on the restaurant business as a result. We told him that we were not interested but he continued asking us had any of us lost our jobs during COVID. None of his business and at that stage our interaction became very heated and my wife a nurse who worked all through COVID in a hospital became very upset . He was also totally unapologetic for the delay stating that we were always complaining and proceeded to ask us to pay the full balance including the two pizzas which we had not received. We agreed to pay for the starter and the bottle of wine which we had received and payed for same . When that was done he very aggressively said “get out” and that we were barred from ever returning. He stood over us and my wife told him that she felt very intimidated by his behaviour. He then sat down beside us. We further told him that we were not leaving and that we were going to finish the bottle of wine which we had already paid for. At that stage he left and went about his business . This whole unsightly spectacle was played out in full view of other customers and staff. My wife then asked what was Marks position in the restaurant and he told us. Mark immediately returned and told my wife not to be engaging with other staff and further informed us that we were barred. You can just imagine how we felt ie so humiliated and treated like common thieves. This all done in front of customers and staff. We shortly left. In conclusion we wish to state that we were previous regular customers and never previously complained to any member of staff or management which was totally contrary to what Mark alleged. We also feel that this written review is not sufficient and that we have no choice but to resort to legal action as a result of the way we were treated.More
Hi A806ACmichaelf, Thanks for your feedback regarding your recent visit to Gotham Cafe. I am very sorry that you felt your visit was so disappointing. I was upset to read your review and I certainly would say that as a family owned business trading for...More
We just got back from a family trip to Ireland and stopped at Gotham Cafe in Dublin for dinner!! Sean and his team were great and they had many options for everyone which was welcome when you are traveling with a party of 9. They...are in a great location as well. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere!!!More
We came upon here by chance on a family trip to Dublin. Two vegetarians, one vegan and two very conservative meat eaters is a hard job to please. After looking at various places around Grafton Street the menu seemed to suit us all though I...was a bit wary as name of cafe seemed gimmicky. The food ordered was a meat pizza, a meat burger, a veggie lunch special, a veggie board with ciabatta and a veggie burger with fries. The veggie boards had cheese but I am sure they could be adapted for vegans as lots of roast veggies, olives, hummous etc. The portions were very generous and the food was just gorgeous. Price wise reasonable given location and size of portions. So good we will be back next month on another trip.More
Please teach your servers basic manners. We weren’t even gone from our table yet, we were finishing our drinks when the waiter proceeded to start setting the table up for the next diners who must have been coming in afterwards. He didn’t even ask us...if it was OK since the table had another booking soon, he in fact didn’t say anything to us at all, he just started laying out new cutlery and serviettes without so much as a word of explanation or apology. Soured the experience completely and won’t be returning as a result.More
