I thought I'd have a traditional irish stew, but it was very bland and the meat was tough - the soda bread which accompanied it was the best part of the meal. My friend had a very standard looking piece of salmon. The thing which rescued the meal, though, was our great server, Mike, who not only was attentive and... More

Was recommended this restaurant from the staff at the apartments we were staying at and it didn't disappoint! We had the lunch time beef and Guinness stew and the Irish lamb stew with a dude of chips and colcannon mash which were both great! Prices are reasonable for the centre of Temple Bar area and the staff were polite and... More

We were so excited to try The Boxty House! We all tried the sample platter! So good! Can't wait to make the pancakes at home!

4 of us went here, and it didnt dissapoint. 2 of us got the steak boxty, one got veggie chili, and one got corned beef dumplings. All dishes were amazing, but the dumplings took the crown. The hospitality/service was great, couldnt say anything bad about this place

I think I was more enamored with the look of the place and it's location so close to the famous temple bar. I did enjoy the seafood chowder and the service was prompt and friendly.

Expensive and not what it use to be, don't buy the trio of stews. Two ok the third totally unpalatable as is their home brewed beer😝

This place is still as good as it was 20 years ago. The food is amazing and this time we had children with us and the staff made us all feel welcome. Try the Boxty fries! We all had different things from the menu and all was cooked to perfection and was Devine. Hopefully it won't be another 20 years... More

My three daughters and I spent 4 days eating our way through Dublin. The Boxty was by far our favorite place. The food was spot on. We all tasted each other's food and we were not able to pick a favorite dish. It would be ashamed to be in Dublin and not make a stop at The Boxty.

We had dinner at Boxty with a couple of friends. Even if it is located in the heart of Temple Bar, the restaurant operates on a higher level, offering high quality food and attentive service in a relaxed lovely atmosphere. We reserved a table in advance and I would recommend that to everyone, as it was packed and there were... More
