Been planning a weekend away for 12 months as it is our 10 year wedding anniversary and my husbands50th, due to us visiting on St Patrick's day we thought we had better be organised. So I booked here after doing lots of research. I was so looking forward to it. I received a lovely email confirming my reservation and to... More

Thank you for writing a review even though you did not get to visit us this weekend, we asked if you could speak with you and explain why we could not open, to which you did not reply instead you decided to take to social media to vent your anger. We also offered to get a reservation in another restaurant... More

I am a Dubliner and have been visiting Chameleon restaurant for years. I brought two American visitors here last Saturday. My daughter and I eat vegan... the menu delicious. The ambience is subtle, the service light and excellent and engaging. My visitors are raving about the place..still. Amazing food, served on hot plates. Great vegan options for me and meat options for the others in the group. Highly advise this restaurant. The staff were just so accommodating too.

Absolutely love this place. Plenty of choice on the menu and the staff are great for suggesting when you can't pick between them all :) the portion sizes are perfect and the food Is really tasty. Also really reasonable price for the quality of the food! I keep coming back here and have never been disappointed. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a table for 3 here for Saturday last for 5pm. This place has won tons of awards for its food and I was not surprised. Take a look the my images and see for yourself. We ordered two set meals one chicken and the other fish to share between three of us. Each set menu comes with about seven... More

Thank you for your review and delighted to hear you really enjoyed the food, we do know however, it is not all about the food. We decided a year ago to make the ground floor more casual and ideal for the diner who wants a beer and a bite with a vibe going on, upstairs is in the Balinese style... More

I thought the food was good, the curries were very nice and the steamed bun was good too. There was only one other table seated when we arrived but they seated us right beside them which was a bit bizarre and uncomfortable, if the whole place is free why sit the only two couples on top of each other!? That... More

Thank you for your review and delighted you enjoyed your meal. If the restaurant was quiet on the night I am sure we could have moved you to another table, sometimes we are expecting a group in and have a table plan for the evening. On the current menu we have 12 Gluten free dishes and one GF dessert so... More

Booked dinner here for my boyfriends birthday and it didn't disappoint. I had requested the opium table upstairs and the lovely Carol was able to accommodate us. It was a surprise dinner and he was delighted. Service was excellent and the food as always was gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere and one never feels rushed.

Wow. A great find. One fish menu, one meat menu! Brilliant! Went for the early bird option. Reasonable for Dublin prices.

I went for dinner here on Saturday night with a group of friends for the first time and we all really enjoyed it! We were seated upstairs which was lovely & cosy, there was fairy lights all around the room which was a nice touch. I'd recommended requesting a table upstairs when booking as it's a nice area than downstairs.... More

My partner and I had a lovely meal here on Sunday night. We had to request the upstairs seating on the cushions as at first we were shown to the small tables downstairs which are fairly close together and nowhere near the atmosphere of the upper floor. Once up there it was lovely and the food very nice, if rather... More

Thank you for your review and delighted you had a good experience, we cannot make food to this standard at a cheaper price, we have devised a tapas menu which has lots of dishes under €10 for those who want small plates and a glass of wine or a craft beer. Carol More

Description
Chameleon in Temple Bar is an intimate, ambient restaurant that specialises in Indonesian rice-table. Rice table (or rijst-tafel) is when the diner is served an array of sumptuous different dishes, at the same time, from confit of pork belly with star anise to free range chicken satay to our delicious desserts, all made in-house! Its almost like Indonesian tapas!Since opening in 1994, its owners, husband and wife team, Carol & Kevin have made a point in using as much locally sourced Irish produce as possible, including only using free range Irish chicken and locally caught, seasonal Irish fish.Chameleon is ideal for a romantic get together or indeed, for your birthday party or Christmas party, as they can cater for groups of up to 40 in our private dining rooms.Winning may awards over the years in 2013 the Chameleon was voted Best World Cuisine in Ireland by the highly acclaimed Restaurants Association of Ireland
