I am not alien to dining at temples of gastronomy. I have been fortunate to have dined at some of the very finest restaurants in the world. I don’t recall any dining experience more unpleasant than Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud. The impression that they deign to serve you is very much at the forefront. Obviously reviews are subjective – and many... More

What a wonderful restaurant.. the food and service was all that it stated in the various reviews we had looked at. We were made to feel very special and each staff member was very aware of their roles and executed them with a high degree of professionalism. Our food was just amazing and every dish we had chosen was of... More

This was my second visit to this very special place and if it was better than the first time, that was only because second time around the dining room was fuller and therefore there was more of a buzz around. I had the lamb which was delicious. We had one bottle of white and one of red which were both... More

We decided to try this restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary during our visit to Dublin. We advised the restaurant in advance twice that it was our 25th and again when we arrived, but their attitude was "so what". I'm sure many guests are celebrating a special occasion at a restaurant such as this, but "so what" ours is important... More

It was like the world stood still for a couple hours. The chef welcoming us personally, the decor, the excellent wine and the food of course was mouthwatering. some of my colleagues had the cheeseboard which was especially good.

I used to dine at Patrick Guilbaud's quite regularly back in the 80's and it was probably the very first high-end restaurant that blew me away. The food was superb in every way and every meal was a dining experience. Since then, I have only eaten there about three or four times so I was highly expectant when I was... More

Had dinner here and yes it was fine, been to many 1 star Michelins and it was on a par but nothing exciting, cheese and dessert/petits fours were excellent. My one gripe was when we came in we were seated for a drink, nobody came around to ask what we would like from the bar but there was a guy... More

Only 2 Michelin star restaurant in Dublin definitely worth a visit. Delcisious food, intriguing combinations of ingredients and elegant, but not stiff atmosphere.

We were here for a birthday dinner. As I'm pregnant and celebrations are limited, we decided to go for a nice meal. The food was ok - starter and main were nothing special, but the dessert and cheese were good. The service, while very attentive, was slightly smug. At one point, the waiter overheard a conversation between my husband and... More

The food was good - probably within the top five meals I've had in Dublin but as a two Michelin starred restaurant it should be far superior to anything else you can get in the city. Parts of the experience were really top notch. Fantastic champagne, wine and cheese but the food in general was about the same or slightly... More
