We were very excited to celebrate a birthday our first night in Dublin at Patrick Guilbaud, so we went with high expectations. The room is beautiful and the food was good. We had the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings...….which is not cheap. The...More

We first ate at PG over thirty years ago, when it was a little place in Ballsbridge that we could walk to. Now, with a couple Michelin stars and in the Merrion Hotel, it's still a place to go back to. Food and service both...More

The food and service at Patrick Guilbaud were impeccable, with a large waitstaff to provide the level of service diners would expect at the price. When we arrived, we were seated in the bar area, and asked if we would like Champagne prior ti being...More

"The tables are flowers and we are butterflies". This was the philosophy of the maitre de of Patrick Guilbaud. The service we received was impeccable. Although I rated this restaurant a 4, my experience was more like a 4.8. Let me start with my criticisms, which to be fair were small and to some, inconsequential. First, while I truly enjoyed perusing their wine list, my partner who prefers a cold...More

You can assume it will be expensive - probably similar to the cost of the food.

It's always better to go to a nice place on your own than NOT go there, so yes, do it.

I´ve only dined at the restaurant once, and then I saw people with everything from suits to denim. It´s fine dining so I will not recommend jeans, but if you must then at least wear dark ones and a shirt. Enjoy your visit :)
