We came to PG for lunch, on the recommendation of a chef-friend who was singing the restaurant’s praises. I’m sad to say that the standard of the food did not quite meet our expectations. Our tuna starter was very good, but both main dishes (John...More

Top flight from seating to dessert. The service and atmosphere were perfect. Haut Cuisine but not pretentious which I really appreciate. Our server Tom was warm, friendly and attentive. The foie gras with pineapple sounded strange but was truly one of the best taste experiences...More

The food, wine and service was excellent. Couldn’t fault anything! Loved every minute and will definitely be returning. Each course was extremely tasty and the presentation of the food was amazing. Thank you very much for such a memorable meal.

We were very excited to celebrate a birthday our first night in Dublin at Patrick Guilbaud, so we went with high expectations. The room is beautiful and the food was good. We had the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings...….which is not cheap. The...More

We first ate at PG over thirty years ago, when it was a little place in Ballsbridge that we could walk to. Now, with a couple Michelin stars and in the Merrion Hotel, it's still a place to go back to. Food and service both...More

The food and service at Patrick Guilbaud were impeccable, with a large waitstaff to provide the level of service diners would expect at the price. When we arrived, we were seated in the bar area, and asked if we would like Champagne prior ti being...More

"The tables are flowers and we are butterflies". This was the philosophy of the maitre de of Patrick Guilbaud. The service we received was impeccable. Quietly efficient, unobtrusive, perfectly timed and our servers were unfailingly polite and knowledgeable. The meal was excellent and we were...More

My favourite Dublin restaurant no longer offers lunch on Tuesday and my second option was full. So thought would give Patrick Guillbaud a visit since it's been a while since my first. Warmly welcomed, sat for a pre lunch glass of bubbles whilst perusing the...More

It's always better to go to a nice place on your own than NOT go there, so yes, do it.

I´ve only dined at the restaurant once, and then I saw people with everything from suits to denim. It´s fine dining so I will not recommend jeans, but if you must then at least wear dark ones and a shirt. Enjoy your visit :)
