Brought some friends from Sardinia for Sat lunch, and once again was not disappointed. Ordered the Chicken & Lobster Boudin, Butter Roasted Monkfish, sublime Pomme Purée, Superb Espresso with divine Petite Fours. Only let down was the not so chilled Deutz Champagne, Service was Professional,...More

We visited Patrick Guilbaud last night and it was an experience that I will remember forever. Exceptional food and drinks (a champagne trolley !!!) in an amazing room and atmosphere. My wife, my 8 year old son and I went for dinner and were treated...More

Ok I’m between average and very good. If compared to a normal restaurant it would obviously be excellent. However this is 2* Michelin. And it really was just ‘good’ for the price. We arrived for the set lunch a little early (10mins) and the service...More

This was my third visit to this restaurant. And it did not disappoint me. We went for the 4 courses tasting menu with accompanying wines. Service is very friendly and focused. Just excellent. I can highly recommend you to go having this experience.

What an absolutely amazing experience. Expensive but worth every cent! We had the 8 course tasting menu and the wine pairing. What a taste experience. Well worth it for a special night out

We had a really relaxing experience in lovely comfortable surroundings. The room and staff seem to have become less stuffy over the past few years ... without taking from the food or the experience. Still one of the best in Ireland.

Returned for our third visit for the better halves birthday. Went the full tasting menu with matching wines. Food was simply amazing and the wine matching superb. GF prefers red wine and the sommelier was only too happy to take this into consideration when selecting...More

We came to PG for lunch, on the recommendation of a chef-friend who was singing the restaurant’s praises. I’m sad to say that the standard of the food did not quite meet our expectations. Our tuna starter was very good, but both main dishes (John...More

Top flight from seating to dessert. The service and atmosphere were perfect. Haut Cuisine but not pretentious which I really appreciate. Our server Tom was warm, friendly and attentive. The foie gras with pineapple sounded strange but was truly one of the best taste experiences...More

You can assume it will be expensive - probably similar to the cost of the food.

It's always better to go to a nice place on your own than NOT go there, so yes, do it.

I´ve only dined at the restaurant once, and then I saw people with everything from suits to denim. It´s fine dining so I will not recommend jeans, but if you must then at least wear dark ones and a shirt. Enjoy your visit :)
