We stayed 5 hours experiencing the best food, wine and service you could ask for. It’s a real treat to visit. We went for the Tasting Menu with matching wines. A special place. We can’t wait for the next happy occasion to visit.

We were staying at the Merrion Hotel and our travel company suggested that we try the restaurant associated with the hotel for Saturday dinner---absolutely superb in every respect. Great wine selection and the service was first class. When in Dublin, make a point to eat...More

Have heard about this restaurant for many years now but wanted to wait for a very special occasion to try it out. Last Saturday my wife celebrated a major birthday so to mark the occasion we had dinner at Guilbaud's. As my wife is a...More

We had high expectations, and they were exceeded. Gracious staff. Amazing sommelier. Beautiful decor. The food was beyond perfect. There are some restaurants of this reputation that don’t live up to their hype. This is not the case here. Best meal I’ve eaten in a...More

In all my trips I really enjoy getting to know new restaurants, specially those acclaimed by their food. When I visisted Patrick Guilbaud's I was in a group of four (two couples) and we had a very good time. The food was tasty and the...More

Went for a lunchtime visit for my birthday. The food and service were incredible and great value lunch menu - 3 courses €60, 2 courses for €50. The dining room is very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. We had a tomato sorbet as an amuse...More

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and I always appreciate it when the dining hall is not packed full; the layout offered enough privacy. The staff was extremely polite - as one would expect in a two Michelin star restaurant - but almost to the point...More

Patrick Guilbaud, is such an experience that we have been twice, every minute is a delight, every second an experience. The interior has an art deco feel and though has not been renovated in a while retains an old classic appeal. The food and staff...More

I know Guilbaud is after the third star. This is my summation: brilliant French cuisine - the food can only be praised - but lots of small mistakes mean the overall experience is closer to a one star than a three. I might seem harsh...More

Superb food and service on the highest level! Everything was perfect! Amouse bouche was a good entrée in the 8 course menue. We are definitely coming back in one of Dublin‘s best restaurants.

You can assume it will be expensive - probably similar to the cost of the food.

It's always better to go to a nice place on your own than NOT go there, so yes, do it.

I´ve only dined at the restaurant once, and then I saw people with everything from suits to denim. It´s fine dining so I will not recommend jeans, but if you must then at least wear dark ones and a shirt. Enjoy your visit :)
