I had a simple lunch here but it was anything but a simple taste. I has a spinach/pea soup, sandwich combo and it was delicious and beautifully served. The sandwich was bursting with taste, flavor and top class ingredients. It was a shredded corned beef, cheddar, gherkin, shredded cabbage and mustard mayo and it was simply the best I have ever tasted. The rascal lager to accompany it was excellent and the service was friendly and professional.

Not for the first time met a group of friends here and again it was a hit. Cosy, relaxed atmosphere, kind of place you feel comfortable having a great chat and laugh-out-loud moments. Everyone took a while to choose because while the menu is not long they wanted well...everything..and couldn't decide. On a cold night the food was proper comfort food and the servings very generous. And so handy for all forms of transport in all directions.

We ate here twice, breakfast one day then lunch the next, the food was excellent, we’ll cooked, well presented and delicious as well as plentiful. Reasonably priced as well. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat (or not) as you wish to. My wife has nut allergies and they weren’t phased by this, making recommendations and ensuring we ate with no worries at all. When we come back to Dublin we will definitely eat here.

My girlfriend and I ate here on Saturday night before going to a movie and I have to say I was really looking forward to eating here as I’d heard great things. Both the service and quality of the food were lacking. We were ignored on at least four occasions, the mains we had lacked in any real flavour and had nothing in the way of seasoning. The oil used for deep frying the chips tasted old and the 18 euro beetroot patty burger tasted blander than any veggie burger I’ve ever had. Honestly I’ve had nicer from Aldi. Don’t believe the hype, this place is overpriced and vastly overrated. I’m so surprised it has as many four star and five star reviews as is clearly shown.

We dined here in the second weekend of August. The bill came to a certain amount (which we realised later) however the waiter charged 10-15 Euro extra? This did not include a tip which was left in addition. Also - do not order the steak. My boyfriend ordered this and he said this was one of the worst cooked steaks he’s ever had. We won’t be eating from here again to say the least!

My friend and I went for a late catch up at the restaurant. We ordered the drinks but weren’t so hungry. After 25 mins the manager comes to us and rudely takes our drinks away and says this is no place to drink, people are waiting to eat here and that we need to leave. There was no one waiting to eat, it wasn’t even busy. He was so disrespectful and rude and could have said that when we ordered our drinks. I will never go back and I wouldn’t recommend it no one, the food can take good if the person who serves you it’s awful with no human begin respect. DISGRACEFUL!

Absolutely terrible service. Terrible food. Not edible. Elderly waitress was extremely rude and tried to charge us service charge after we didn’t eat any of the food. Do not eat here. Terrible attitude on the main lady. Other waiters seemed nice.

Very disappointed to arrive for brunch to be sat down with a pizza menu from the restaurant upstairs. We had pre booked a week earlier, and even confirmed with the restaurant. At no stage was it made clear to us that the woollen mills kitchen is closed, and only pizza was available.

The food was not that good, much of it fried, and the whole restaurant smells from that. It was not that cheap, we were 6 persons eating, when we Got the bill it was added a servicecharge of 12,5 %. The waiter Said it was added because our group was larger than 5 persons. We Think we should have been informed about that before ordering, but the waiter Said that they weren’t obligated to inform about that in advance. We Think they should have, we were lucky to see it on the bill before we added tips. Just a Warning to other groups, take it or leave it.

I had the most incredible experience in the Woollen Mills this weekend! I was hosting a small group event and we booked the Yarn room. The room is semi-private and while you have your own space, there are double doors into the main seating area which meant we got to experience the atmosphere of the restaurant which we loved. The staff were absolutely incredible. There was a slight delay in serving our main courses and we were presented with a complimentary bottle of wine which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. They were really kind and friendly, offering to take group photos for us and really made us feel welcome. As we were a group we had a 3 course set menu. The food was delicious and the team was super flexible with some dietary requirements which our group had. There is a 12.5% service charge but this was made clear to me at the time of booking. We had the most amazing time and I am really grateful to the staff. I would be happy to recommend the Woollen Mills to other groups.

We went there during our holiday in Dublin. Location is good. Ambience and staff are great too, however the food leaves much to be desired. We took chicken wings in buffalo sauce which was cold, fish and chips which was decent and chicken Caesar salad which was atrocious. We paid 17€ for a salad which was literally a plate of plain romaine lettuce, a quarter chicken breast at best and 4 croutons (I counted). To add insult to injury we were charged 12.5% service charge to the bill which totaled a whooping 100€ for those 4 plates plus 2 soft drinks and water . A total rip off!!

A bill of €74 for food we didn’t eat because it was not good. Totally overpriced and I would rather go hungry than come back to this place. To add insult to injury and while waiting for my main course that the chef had forgotten to cook, I ordered coffee and was charged €4 for a lukewarm Americano and €0.50 for oat milk. Plenty of other places around to choose from.

Disgraceful service, tables outside being placed in an area full of beggers and alcoholics getting very close to you begging for money as you eat with no masks on and staff are ignoring this. We asked for a table away from this area as one was free but we were told it was for 4 people only. Within 20 seconds they sat two people there. Coke was flat. Pizza was wet and bland. Huge disappointment and definitely neve ever returning. Tourist trap and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. There are thousands of wonderful places to eat in Dublin. Avoid this one at all costs.

On a day trip to Dublin for lunchtime theatre passing the Woolen Mills thought why not eat here & checked the breakfast menu. So in I go & greeted by a friendly Lady who asked would I like to sit looking out at Halpenny bridge. I ordered the bacon & poached eggs tomato with Sourdough & tea. She came back with water & the paper. I had the tastiest food & beautifully presented. This was just such a lovely experience. Met another friendly staff member when I went to pay. Unfortunately I did not get the staff members names but well done. I will be back again & have recommended a stop here to my friends. Well done

I had the veggie kimchi burger. At 18 euro I was expecting to get an amazing meal. Unfortunately I did not. The bean and rice burger patti was dry and had zero flavour. It probably cost 10cents to make. The thin spread of kimchi hardly moistened the bun and to add insult to injury the buns were dry and stale and the chips were old and really awful. I had to order a beer just to wash it all down. The staff were very condescending and treated me with suspicion as I had just come from doing my garden and I guess I looked a bit scruffy. The total bill came to over 30 euro and a compulsory tip was added. I was actually going to give more than what they added so their loss. Unfortunately I will never darken their doorway again. Good luck..
