The cocktail list is expansive, and the ones I've tried were indeed delicious. All food items were only offered as sharing plates, but were also very well seasoned, fresh and I enjoyed them. Sadly I'd only return for drinks, as the interior is very dense, and the tables are uncomfortably close together.

Simply put, you won't find an experience that matches or exceeds what is offered at Peruke & Periwig. From the decor to the ambiance, the mood strikes you the moment you enter the door and lasts until you step back out into the street. A friendly, knowledgeable staff is ready to assist and explain anything on the menu, the food is gorgeous, and the prices are competitive considering the exorbitant amounts that exist in central Dublin. Do yourself a favor, accept no substitutes and stop by P&P for some R&R. You deserve the very best!

Best. Bar. In. Dublin. My god, this has got to be the best place in Dublin for a sophisticated cocktail. The menu is cute and creative, paired with a chic vintage feel of the decor. The food looked really good but I was only there for drinks. The staff were so helpful and had a such an attention for detail, special mention to Maria and Victor who were amazing! side note: the bathrooms here are so cool 😉

This is not the same P&P we remember from before Covid. Not sure what changed. Looks the same but it doesn't feel the same. It's as if it was run by different people than before. We used to come here for years but last night was the first visit after the restaurant reopened. The service is not up to scratch anymore - friendly but inefficient and/or inexperienced. The food quality is there but with service not up to the standard it now feels overpriced and not worth it. Long wait for order, drinks, food served not as agreed with previous waiter so no communication, hard to get refill of water or order of more drinks, missing water glass never delivered, many items (drink and food) out of stock. It's sad to see as we loved coming here for food for special occasions. This was one of those occasions (graduation dinner) and we introduced the place to a bunch of new friends. For the prices and food quality you would expect the service to go with it. We will not be returning unfortunately :( Note that this is the review of the restaurant. The bar downstairs is still great.

We ordered Pork Belly with polenta. The food was not very warm when served and the polenta was clotted. There were only 2 tables occupied and the waiter managed to first bring our dishes to the wrong table and having a discussion with the guests. Then ran off with the dishes to come back five minutes later with the same dishes to our table. The background music was not OK. It was load and the music to uptempo to fit with the scenery of the restaurant. As deserts the restaurant is not able to provide a simple cup of coffee!!!

I’m sorry.. we wanted to like this place - the reviews are so high. The rug is musty and dirty - makes the whole place smell like bad cheese. The drinks are not worth the hype at all - they can’t even make their espresso martinis with real espresso.. food subpar at best. Not worth the trip unfortunately.

Massively disappointed by my experience at Peruke and Periwig - staff were incredibly rude and constantly reminded my party that we had to vacate our table at 7pm. We were told when we sat down, and then intermittently throughout our time in the venue. Staff and service were really poor I'm sorry to say - it felt like we were an inconvenience and because some of our party weren't experts on cocktails.. there was almost a sneer from staff when beers were ordered. Cocktails are nothing to write home about, margaritas with a big lump of salt left in the bottom. Very expensive and staff happy to bump on a service charge. It's a bad sign when you are sitting somewhere drinking cocktails and wishing you were in the Westbury instead - a venue that outclasses P&P easily.

Went to this restaurant in February with my wife for my birthday. Needless to say we were looking forward to our meal. It was shocking! We both ordered steak with a side of fries. The fries arrived without the steak initially and the steak soon arrived. It was so fatty it was sickening. We both asked the waiter to brig it back. He apologised but when the 2 new steaks arrived they were even worse. I noticed other customers doing the same. We couldn't eat it and asked can we get some bruschetta without the mushrooms. The reply was "I'm not sure if that will work". Night ruined and safe to say we will NEVER go back. Avoid like the plague.

Lovely lovely lovely waiter and staff, and quite unique ambience that make it worth visiting if you order right food Im sure. Good wines. Cocktails looked nice and were great when i was last there years ago. I ordered potato and leek soup which was so peppery it burned my mouth nose and throat, i gave some to my husband and his eyes watered very badly. So the really really lovely waiter took it away and made sure we werent charged. We ordered chicken supreme and it was basically exactly like deep fried chicken (which Im pretty sure is exactly what it was) and mash potato (really lovely mashed potato) but thats not chicken supreme thats just deep fried chicken. Our neighbouring table ordered wine and a cheese board, that looked great and that's what we would order again. The carpet up the stairs is really really dirty and the ladies loo had black mould that i couldnt miss inside half 1/4 of loo rim. (Didnt the mums always say dont eat anywhere there isnt a pristine clean loo).... So why would I dream of going back? Well I would, i would go when the light has faded and I cant see the dirty stairwell carpet because the ambience id unique and the staff so lovely, and I would just order cocktails or a charcuterie board or cheese board and wine or wine and then cocktails. It is unique , so go but know what to expect and enjoy it blemishes and all.

My boyfriend booked a meal for two in Peruke and Periwig for my birthday on Saturday night and it was fabulous from start to finish. The staff were so polite, friendly and accommodating. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed into the beautiful setting and escorted to a lovely candle lit table . The staff here communicate very well to create a hassle free experience for guests. Because it was my birthday , I was wished well and we were given two complementary glasses of prosecco and mine had a little candle on it which I though was a beautiful touch. The meal was also amazing . My boyfriend ordered the duck starter and I had the king prawn bruschetta.. delicious. We both ordered steak as a main and they were both cooked perfectly. The waiter was so friendly but not overly in your face as you can sometimes get. He was very knowledgeable about the cocktail selection and kindly advised us while we ordered . They were made to a very high standard and each cocktail on the menu had a unique twist. So along with the intimate, atmospheric ambiance this is the ideal place to dine if you appreciate a great cocktail. Thanks guys it was amazing and we'd love to come back next time we are interested the city.

My husband and I always go here for a couple of pre-dinner cocktails in the early afternoon and love getting a spot at the bar to watch the skilled barmen whipping up works of art. This month, we decided to book a meal to comply with Covid restrictions, with another couple celebrating a birthday. We were delightfully surprised that the food was great too! Big shout out to Dave our server, entertainer, photographer and all round great craic! He knew every cocktail (there’s a booklet) and recommendations to suit our preferences. He also smoked one beautiful drink at the table and very kindly phoned ahead to the next venue (also part of the pressup group) as we were running a little behind. The dining rooms upstairs are very intimate and boudoir-like. They unfortunately had a couple of cancellations on the night which meant we could have spent longer there if they had known earlier. I don’t know why this is happening so much in Dublin. It’s hugely disrespectful to any business trying to keep going in tough times. I can’t praise Peruke and Periwig enough. I know it’s part of a big group of large venues, equally stylish but This place is a little gem. Go if you can!

Another waste of a place. You ask for a gin and tonic and they don’t have a recognised gin and some awful tonic I never heard of. Someone teach how to pour a measure. 10:40 for the pleasure. Tourist trap.

Amazing spot for cocktails Staff were so friendly. Can’t wait to go back! From the first minute we were greeted by the host we knew we were in for a great time. She was so friendly and welcoming. Up the stairs we went to an elevated experience that didn’t dissappoint, and was filled with the cocktails of our dreams served by engaging and interested staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing hospitality I will remember forever. Thank you Peruke & Periwig!

Stopped into Peruke and Periwig for an after dinner cocktail and absolutely loved the place. I had one of the best bourbon sours I've ever had and they also made a very nice non-alcoholic cocktail for my wife who is expecting. It's a small little spot downstairs which lends to the atmosphere. I know there's an upstairs but we didn't make it up there. The two lads behind the bar were extremely nice and know exactly how to make great drinks.

6 of us decided on a cocktail before dinner. The bar is like something from a haunted mansion, lots of old bits and pieces around and old oil paintings adorn the walls. Old paisley carpets and lots of levels for seating areas. We went up to the first floor and a small cocktail bar with barman proceeded to entertain us with various cocktails, exploding cinnamon and blowtorched marshmallows! Prices around €12-18 dependent on choice. Very different and pleasant pre dinner experience
