This is our second visit. The restaurant is well located and accessible. The entrance into the dining room is beautiful with lovely outside sofas in the garden for pre-drinks. The maître d' was welcoming and engaging when we were ready to enter and be seated The dinning area is large. There are cabin type seats right at the back for larger groups (6-8). Avoid the one closest to the bar as you will see and hear the waiters entering and exiting past your table the whole time. So ask for the middle row. The tables are well spaced / laid out with adequate sized table and comfortable chairs. Making it a comfortable dining experience. Exactly how you want it. Food quality and display is impeccable. We all had 3 course meals and not one of us had any complaint. Perfectly cooked and executed. Great wine selection. My only gripes: 1. The music ambience didn't work that night. We had a live musician but we could hardly hear. 2. Our dining experience on both nights felt rushed. The servers take your starter and main course meals at the same time. Once the starters are complete then within 2 or a few mins thereafter you get your mains. So I would say inform the waiter to first ask you before they start to prepare the mains. This will give you time to finish a glass and catch up with family / friends.

Three of us had lunch here last Saturday on the outside heated terrace. Despite there being only one waiter and manager on duty the service and attention we got was second to one, the waiter (Robert I believe) mixed cocktails, took orders, delivered food and drinks and all with a professional manner. Although he was busy he never seemed rushed and we were awkward in that we made some requests for changes to dishes ordered. the menu is short but very well thought out and it covers most tastes. The wine list is equally short but offers a good enough choice. We had butternut squash soup, goats cheese and beetroot salad, club sandwiches on focaccia and creme brûlée and everything was tasty, generous and fresh. A very pleasant afternoon indeed. Will definitely come back again.

We had a lovely relaxing evening at Marco Pierre Whites. We opted for the Friday Supper Club menu which was €70 per couple. I was a bit nervous about dining out due to COVID but the tables were very well spaced out and I felt instantly at ease on arrival. I made some poor choices (the salad for starter had too much beetroot and very little cheese, and the chocolate tart for dessert was nothing special), but my partner choose the soup and creme brulee which were both divine. The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I was under the impression that there would be live music so I was a little disappointed that this wasn't the case (perhaps they changed this due to COVID) but the atmosphere was still excellent and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

We left without eating as the service was so poor. We specifically booked a later 8:30pm sitting as not be rushed. On three separate occasions we requested a drink form the bar, the waiter didn’t want to know all he insisted on doing is taking or meal order pushing us on three occasions with still no drinks , culminating in his final threat “if you don’t order NOW you may not get your food as there is a large table ahead” I explained that this wasn’t a problem that it was our 10th wedding anniversary and we were in no rush. Ten minutes later a man who I can only assume was a manager (as he didn't introduce himself), came over and asked if he could take our food order. He made no attempt to engage. A this point we were so incensed we just asked him to get the drinks bill as we wished to leave. Twenty minutes later still no sign of the bill. We went over to the cash desk and I informed the manager that we just wanted to leave and that we had asked for the bill a considerable period of time ago at table 16. He replied I am busy. At that point I informed him that his attitude was a disgrace, it was obvious he didn't give a continental! I have eaten in this restaurant a number of times, never again. It ruined the evening of our anniversary. MacDonald's has a less pushy, more refined atmosphere. This business model is the worst kind of production machine enacted by a very passive-aggressive staff. You should be ashamed of your standards in bullying your customers into ordering food. I have never experienced anything like this! Don't go it isn't an enjoyable experience.

Ate at MPW in Donnybrook a week ago and have to say it was my worst dining experience in a long time. We felt rushed from the moment we sat down to when we were presented with the bill at 11.10pm when not requested. I was asked if I was happy to have my fillet steak cooked "butrerfly", which is a first in any restaurant in order for it to be cooked quicker. The peppercorn sauce was really watery and the steak mediocre at best. The toilets were a disgrace, empty rolls in each cubicle and only toilet roll in one..for a restaurant of supposedly this calibre I was expecting a lot more. They took an €80 deposit for 4 people when booking in November, despite this not being on their T&cs - so I would ensure to check your bank accout when reserving. When I raised this over email, they said that they had not changed their online T&cs at time of booking in November. Not Good enough in my opinion. Summary- rude staff, mediocre food and terrible bathrooms. Would not visit again.

It is beyond me that this place would even put Michelin Star in their advertising. 8 middle aged thirsty for wine and hungry for steak showed up last evening. We got terrible service and poor quality steak. We had a reservation to return at the end of the trip, that has been cancelled. Service One waiter for 8 and he was looking after other tables. Not acceptable. One guy waited over 20 min for a drink. Glasses were not cleared, water bottles remained empty, when asked for a condiment, didn’t arrive until u ate the food. No fault of the server, he did his best. Wine We ordered what was advertised as the 2010 Rioja, a stellar year and bottle priced at 95 euro. When it arrived, it was the 2011. To the average consumer of wine, no big deal, but when you order it because it’s the 2010, and the 11 shows up, that’s actually false advertising. Very poor on their part. The Steak We all ordered the Delmonico ribeye..when mine arrived, it looked some something you might put on a sandwich, maybe. It was 36 euro, should have been charged 10. This is supposed to be a steakhouse, it failed miserable in all areas. The sides were ok, but if you can’t make a fry or onion ring, you have bigger issues. Please save ur money and go elsewhere. Unfortunately, this place will not be around after another year. If the are to be they will need to step up their game big time, not sure you can recover from this.

My husband and I were brought here by our friends. It was our first visit. The moment I entered the restaurant I felt comfortable the whole experience was fabulous. The food and the service was excellent. I would also like to comment on the piano player his choice of music was just right so thank you. Would I recommend and would I go back. YES most definitely to both.

Was recently for dinner with hubby and friends at Marco Pierre White. I don't normally write reviews, but felt I had to in this occasion. The food was really good, but what really stood out was the excellent service and attention to detail by a gentleman who I think was called "Gio". He was so attentive without being intrusive he went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. Thank you, and can't wait for our next visit.

We had our company Christmas dinner in the private room and it was a wonderful evening. The restaurant itself was packed and quite noisy, so it was nice to be in our own space. We've all experienced restaurants during the busy Christmas period that aren't operating at their normal high standards. This was not the case here. Food was superb, absolutely flawless. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent. Our waitress Naomi was absolutely charming and very knowledgeable about the menu. Each course was served by a number of staff so each of our group of 14 got our meals together. Overall, the experience was really positive. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately the service in this restaurant is a massive let down for me. We love it here and have been before for a family gathering and had a great night both times. However, the service has been less than good on both occasions. The first time was just little things, unusual response from wait staff or being told a cocktail that was asked for would be too difficult to make. It didn't put us off booking again. However when we visited on Saturday night, we were so disappointed and are unlikely to go back. Firstly, members of our party decided they wanted to order the large sharing cuts of beef. When the wait staff came to take our order we were only then told there was none left. The waitress double checked and said there was one. (We were ordering 2) This was so disappointing and should very much have been mentioned to us when we were given our menus. When we were ordering sides, we kept getting told we had too many onion rings ordered, it was all a bit odd. And as it turned out we needed to order more a few minutes into the main course. We had also ordered some olives and bread for the table as pre starters but they only came with the starter so we had to ask for them to be taken away. The greeter at the door was so nice a friendly when we arrived but after that the smiles were at a minimum and friendliness was definitely lacking. Not to mention the basics of letting customers know they have run out of certain steaks on a Saturday night.

We really appreciate your feedback although we are very disappointed to hear that you felt let down on your recent visit with us. We've discussed the points you raised with the kitchen team and have stressed the importance that the items on the menu are available at all times. In addition we have spoken to all waiting staff reiterating that high levels of service are what the company prides themselves on and any drop in service will not be tolerated.

Treat night out with my daughters. Lovely courtyard setting but marred by unclean / unmaintained ashtrays and poor service outside despite having said at reception area that we would sit outside for a pre-dinner drink. When we went in doors to our table, my daughter had carried in the ice bucket and bottle and as she went to hand it to the female staff member she ignored my daughter and let her carry it to our table herself!!! Despite there being a cloakroom there, she didn’t offer to take our 3 long coats. The setting inside is also lovely and the food, while not particularly outstanding, was very enjoyable. Dessert delicious. And so to the bathrooms ... toilet tissue holder empty with the roll of tissue left on the side. Sink area was wet and not to the standard you’d expect. Disappointing. Service overall was just standard. But ambience good and I’d probably go back.

As frequent visitors to MPW’s Dawson St restaurant, this was our first venture to The Courtyard (Sunday menu). It was excellent in every way from food to wine to decor, location and ambiance (cap doffed also to server Cillian who was very attentive and looked after us really well). Each course was packed with flavour, portions were generous and all, as we have become accustomed, was cooked to perfection. If there was a very, very, very minor quibble it would be the absence from the menu of the very wonderful rice pudding served in Dawson St but, otherwise, top marks.

The food and service were excellent. The Sunday lunch menu provided of us with a great selection to choose from. I went for the burrata to start and this was delicious served with lightly sautéed red pepper and onions on flatbread. For my main I had beautifully seasoned and cooked lamb with green beans and fondant potato. The portion size was just right and all was delicious. To finish I had a wonderful Eaton Mess. There were clean plates all around and I’ll certainly be back to try other menu options such as the beetroot and feta salad to start. The presentation of this starter was excellent.

The most amazing wedding venue! Attended a wedding here at the weekend, and from the staff to the food to the atmosphere, it was such a fabulous day! Staff couldn’t have been more attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, and all steaks were cooked to everyone’s preference. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for more intimate wedding venue! We have just attended a wedding reception at this fabulous restaurant, I have to say this was a truly fantastic experience from the moment we walked through the archway entrance into a most beautiful building which was so tastefully lit. Staff were so attentive and friendly and professional . The food was so good , I had steak for my main and it was melt in the mouth stuff , starter and desert were equally as good . I would strongly recommend this Restaurant just go and you won't be disappointed.
