My wife, daughter and I had dinner in this charming Irish pub, and we were all extremely satisfied. The menu offers authentic Irish specialities, prepared with care and passion. I chose Guinness beef: tender, tasty and perfectly accompanied by the rich taste of beer. My wife opted for the classic fish and chips: the fish was fresh, wrapped in a crispy and light batter. Our daughter preferred a vegetable soup, which turned out to be warm, comforting and full of flavor. We all shared delicious sweet potatoes, golden and crisp, a real treat for the palate.
Accompanied by a pint of Guinness, tapped to perfection, our meal was an authentic and satisfying experience. The service was attentive and friendly, and the final bill was a pleasant surprise: an excellent meal at a really affordable price.
An ideal place to enjoy Irish cuisine in a welcoming and familiar atmosphere. We can't wait to get back.

Reading the reviews we decided to try it also due to the proximity to our hotel: a more than satisfying experience, so much so that we decided to return 3 times and taste the various dishes served. All the traditional Irish dishes we tasted were always excellent, as was their value for money. I highly recommend!!!

Two dinners on August 8 and 9, 2024, a warm setting for a drink waiting for a table that was made available to us ultra quickly. Tasty and fresh dishes, hearty and served with a smile despite our catastrophic English.
The second evening, out of a desire to find this beautiful atmosphere where your Check-out is not clearly desired because other customers waiting (regular in Dublin wherever you ate), the waitress welcomed us with an authentic smile, “Nice to see tou”.
A second charming evening between locals, the atmosphere of the Olympics and the attention of the service.
Thanks in any case to this charming waitress who will have coated our two passages of attention and visible interest.
See you soon!

I got there this Tuesday, I wanted to try their famous fish and chips but then I opted for the fish pie and vegetables and it was the best decision ever!! The place was not particularly busy and the music was not loud, which made my experience really enjoyable. The pie was incredible, so much filling and the mash potato on top was so soft! Big salad and chips on the side, I wanted to get a dessert but I was soooo full I was going to explode. Next time I'll get the fish and chips. The service was super quick and everyone looked relaxed and friendly. The restroom was clean and tidy. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and colleagues. 10/10

The atmosphere of the place is great with good music and the typical tables with sofas and chairs around them. Typical Irish dishes with lamb and beef, with the always eternal mashed potato, different types of hamburgers and fish and chips. We had a lamb stew and another dish of beef with Guinness beer. The food was very good but... little.

Was passing by yesterday and wish I’d continued, instead of pushing the door. Firstly, the staff are lovely, attentive and friendly. However, if an establishment is offering food and drinks, then both should be of a good standard. The pint of Guinness was ok, nothing more. However, the lamb stew was mediocre at best. It was a plate of under seasoned goo, with a few slivers of lamb hiding under a mountain of celery. I did find a slice of carrot in there and an abundance of onions. But the pervading flavour and content was the mushy celery. It was served with mashed potatoes (from a packet, I suspect) that had to be mixed with the ‘sauce’ of the stew to heat them up. Overall, an underwhelming experience and one I won’t be repeating.

Avoid the nachos. They are inedible. This is one restaurant in Ireland that can’t cook fish and chips, 4/5 people at our table did not enjoy their meal. Crammed into a small booth and ignored. Brash server. Our last meal in Dublin was memorable for what it wasn’t.

Our third night of pubs and we find the menus to be similar but tonight’s was tops and varied. The servings are generous and delicious. There was a greater number of choices. I had the roast beef sandwich —-tender roll, filled with greens, sautéed onions, tender beef and some sort of spread—-sauce—-maybe honey, mustard and Mayo. Not your ordinary sandwich. The staff was friendly and efficient. Great location on a side street. We’d highly recommend stopping.

After a great seafood chowder and some irish oak smoked salmon served on some bread we had traditional fish & chips and baked fillet of hake with fries. All was excellent and the service was great! We sat in the first floor of the restaurant. Next to us was a lively group of retirees enjoying their Guinness and having fun! It was a great experience of an irish pub in Dublin, thanks!!

Went for a midweek dinner and wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious, traditional Irish fair and of course washed down with a pint or 2 of the black stuff.
Service was excellent. We called to book ahead which was definitely a wise decision although their online booking system is very odd. No time request or date, just a form and they get back to you. This is why we called instead.
Would 100% go back.

I’m saying we were there for Lunch because we’ve been to Brannigans more for Lunch during stays in Dublin, usually while staying in the neighborhood. But we’ve also been there for dinner.
The food is good solid Dublin fare done to perfection. My wife and a friend were all well pleased. Service was attentive, polite and got things right. TheTruth is that Brannigans is one of the highlights of a visit to Dublin. Look at the menu before going in to see if it’s what you want. Dublin is a great restaurant and pub town.
For our first stop at Brannigan’s I had Irish Oak Smoked Salmon. Perfect. One another I had Beef and Guiness Casserole. Also excellent. The food menu is extensive and no one in out small group found a problem either in selection and food quality.
The beer menu is superb for those with the taste. There is a bar area with a true pub quality to it, but it’s a bit of a sprawling place so you can be separated easily from the bar.

The place was excelletnt, we loved the traditional decoration. The food is espectacular. We ordered a wrap and nachos. You could also order more traditional Irish food there. The service was exceptional with great waiters and bartenders that will help you with anything.

My favourite place for some pub grub when I’m in Dublin I visited this time with a friend who has heard all about Brannigan’s (from me) but had not been herself. We were in need of lunch after visiting 14 Henrietta Street and this was the only place to go. We both had the ever excellent fish and chips and I thoroughly enjoyed a rare (for me) pint of Guinness. Fabulous as always - wonderful service, food and atmosphere. I’d visited a couple of months ago and tried the fish pie which is also very highly recommended as is the roast beef dinner. We both thought the fish and chips were delicious and my friend enjoyed it that much she is going back again this week with her husband. I will have to plan my own return trip for the near future and … maybe the chowder next time. See you again soon!

We visited on Friday night and were lucky to get a table right away. I went for a fish pie which was delicious, and my husband took a burger which he enjoyed. Staff are really nice, and prices are reasonable.

Tasty mushroom soup and seafood chowder! Roast beef was more like boiled (slow cooked), rather than grilled or roasted. But it was tender and and the sauce was tasty. The spicy chicken wings were good but very spicy. Total cost a glass of wine and a stout was €54.
