We went to Dublin for a weekend break for my 30th on Friday 8th Dec to Sunday 10th Dec. We walked from our hotel and found this little traditional Irish pub. The bar man was genuine, friendly and really looked after us. Locals were brilliant...and a local chap having a pint even bought all 11 of us a round of drinks! Next morning the owner even let us in before he had opened as we caught him outside and asked him if we could come in for a pint. Brilliant place to experience a traditional Irish Pub! Definitely return!More
What a great pub. Great atmosphere, as strangers in the pub we were made to feel welcome. Good friendly staff. Great spot I’ll definitely be back when I’m. The area
This was round the corner from the hotel i stayed in. I went for a walk on my first night and popped in for a drink or 3 before heading off for dinner. I returned the following night with some colleagues. Great atmosphere and really...friendly staff.More
This is a great pub if you are looking for genuine Irish hospitality. Great atmosphere with music most nights. Its only small but people sit outside too. Two rooms with an excellent range of beers and spirits.Walkable into the city centre 20mins away.
Lots of beer choices on tap. My husband ordered the lamb shank and it was a huge meal he only ate half of it. I ordered shrimp and fries. The shrimp had a heavy breading so couldn't really taste the shrimp. Confusing order process.
Had a couple of beers in the pub O'Brians. Possibly the best Guinness I have tasted. Great atmosphere and a real mix of locals. Can't recommend enough. Well worth seeking out. Amazing range of whiskey on offer and great staff.
Absolutely love this place, nice food, great beer and an absolutely amazing atmosphere Much prefer to the temple bar area
Nothing out of the ordinary for us. Popped in for a couple of beers. Rugby match on the TV with locals yelling at it. Starter of a hen party in the corner. Many local bars like this back in the States that I won't bother...with.More
A close relative of The Brazen Head but quite different. A glimpse of how good pubs used to be. Very busy and buzzy. Close to our hotel on Lesson Bridge. We loved
We enjoy pub dinner and friendly faces during our stay and the Double Tree Hotel nearby and we are looking forward to a return visit.
Our first meal in Ireland. We got there before the lunch rush. First time ordering in this type of place where you order and take food to your table. The servers who were filling my dish were a little impatient with me because I wasn't...sure how it worked. Found a cozy two top. I had the corned beef and all the various potatoes, my husband went with the sausages, potatoes, carrots, parsnips - all tasty. It was very filling and hearty a meal but good. As we were leaving it was getting busy so get there on the early side would be my suggestion.More
'Popped' in for a quick pint with a few work associates post-meeting. Brilliant Guinness and atmosphere. People and staff all interested in having a good time and making sure everyone else does too. Managed to leave some 5 hours later - but that's Dublin for...you. Brilliant as always!!More
If you want a bar without any music and a great old feel then O'Briens is for you. It gets very crowded in the evening with either workers on their way home or people attending functions at the nearby Hilton. Once you've squeezed in you...will be able to enjoy a great pint of Guinness and the wonderful atmosphere. We found the locals very friendly and keen to chat. Later in the evening we would return for a glass of Jamesons or one of the many other whiskeys on sale.More
My favourite watering hole when staying at the Doubletree across the street. Away from the commercial hubs around the city center, the place exudes warmth and has loads of character. ideal place to catch up on some banter with the locals. Tip: the lounge area...is quieter than the bar.More
