Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went down for a meal with the family including 3 kids. It was extremely busy but staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was lovely as usual and dessert always goes down a treat.

Really poor food, chicken Caesar was tossed together with store bought dressing, pre cooked and re heated chicken with no flavour at all despite being advertised as Cajun. Chicken burger was worse, literally a frozen chicken burger thrown together. Not suprised please was empty on...a Sunday afternoon. Also, place was not clean in any way shape or form!More

Went there last night for a bite to eat on way back to hotel. Prices in Dublin city centre were exorbitant and hotel has a lot of kids so just wanted pub grub type food. This was perfect. Servers were young girls by so helpful...and friendly, older clientele lots of older couples having a bite to eat, got nachos and wings and was perfect. Also v reasonable. If youbwant an older more authentic setting thus is itMore

Staff usually unwelcoming especially senior staff. The food is nice but the service would really turn you off the establishment. I am in my 20’s and they just seem to treat you like your a scumbag if you go in with your friends for a...bite to eat no matter how you carry yourself or are dressed. We usually never stay for drinks after as the place carries no atmosphere. You can almost tell your being judged the second you walk in the door. My advice stay away!More

Visited here for 1st time since pandemic. The food was average at best. They need to rethink the menu. Also the place needs a good makeover. Strange smell in the place. Noticed that the drink prices have gone sky high since reopening. If owners want...to get customers back in after pandemic, they're going the wrong way about it. Putting an extra 30 to 50 cent on the price of a pint is not going to help to bring people back. It will only drive them further into their back gardens to drink in their purpose made home bars!More

Upon entering the premises, the first point of contact was with a rude, unwelcoming and grumpy host (resembled Michael Martin) . He was extremely unprofessional and casual and pointed at a table outside without bringing myself and my friend physically. He began speaking to other...employees and completely ignored our existence. The table was dirty and sticky. After 2 minutes sitting at the table, another staff member said “you know you only have an hour at this table yes”. Which defies the current 105 minute allocation per booking. (Unwelcoming) The food arrived within 8 minutes and was barely warm and everything was drier than Sahara desert. The best thing about the visit, was leaving. Won’t be back.More

Visited here yesterday and although the food was nice, I witnessed a bar maid use the toilet and just rinse her hand under water instead of using soap! Place really needs a good clean, dirty well worn chairs and sticky stuff under the table. Dont...think I'll be backMore

Food was amazing. I got the Cajun chicken burger, my friend got the New Yorker and my boyfriend got the Lamb Shank. All of us were very happy with it. The burger was amazing and it was big I couldn't finish it!! Sweet potato fries...were top notch and Garlic sauce was unreal. Would go back again. Lovely staff too.More

Thank you to the staff for making us all so welcome. We had a two night stay in Palmerstown and ended up eating at the pub for both nights as the service was so good on the first night. The staff who served us were...brilliant, and ensured that all our requests were met and checked info with chef etc. Such friendly manners and polite, our server Cian was awesome, and really looked after us both nights. The food was nice and reasonably priced. Well done, you made a good weekend GREAT.More

They need to kick their staff up the a##s and get them in gear, lazy staff always forgetting part of your food order, young barman about 20 who has a 10 second delay and doesnt hear you right and asks for money before hes put...your pints in front of you, the staff need to go on a course about manners and how to deal with the public ... lounge girl brought a pint over to me and slapped it on the table and didnt say your welcome after i said thanks, very rude, and the lamb shank was disgusting and over priced ... i wouldnt reccommend to anyone, management need to get proper staff and manage them accordinglyMore

Visited on Sunday for family event. Service poor, food seriously overpriced, loud with TV ads & didn't get the impression it was particularly clean with sticky table. Need to work out if they are a restaurant or a pub serving basic pub food.
