Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Waited 20 minutes for a sandwich to go only to receive the wrong order. May have been the server's first time ever making a sandwich. Standards have significantly dropped in recent years. Highly suggest that you avoid their deli!

What an excellent experience at Mannings! We visited today after the Guinness tour and were not disappointed. Food and drinks very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Had a wonderful short lunch with a toasted cheese sandwich and roasted feta wrap. Split an AMAZING carrot cake and enjoyed a latte. Bright - clean - great vibe. Only room for improvement might be to cut some of the custard slices smaller - they...were huge - but if you want the lot you’d definitely be satisfied.More

We had a tour of the Guinness Storehouse booked for 10.30 and I had a quick look on TA to see if there was anywhere on the way to have breakfast. I marked this up and we headed here, only a few minutes away from...the storehouse so plenty of time. I went for the breakfast sandwich and my girlfriend had the porridge. She watched the women pour the oats so knew it was the real McCoy and the thickness of the meat in the sandwich was incredible. They had a lovely selection of fresh cakes, which we were going to return and have, but the tour ended up a bit differently than we expected. Well worth a try of, like us, you are looking for something to each before starting on the Guinness.More

Used to be a great place for a sandwich with lots of choice at their deli counter. Asked today if a plain BLT could be made was told by the server they no longer have any bread to make up sandwiches. Now only pre-made sandwiches...ALL with Mayo/allergens on. Server shrugged when I asked what if a customer is allergic to Mayo etc? Or some people might want a plain sandwich. No soup or Nothing else to offer for lunch so I left disappointed and hungry.More

Any food here, besides their overpriced cakes, is not freshly cooked and the ingredients are very low quality despite the high prices. The food was awful and tasteless. The full irish was had to be left as the eggs were somehow overcooked and undercooked at...the same time. There were no pancakes despite being half of the menu items so went with sweet French toast which was dry and over salted with a bit of squirty cream and cheap jam on the side. Save your money and go anywhere else.More

I popped in for a coffee in the morning. Then I realized they are serving breakfast as well. Came there for a scrambled eggs - ordered with smoked Salmon and toasts. See what I received 🤣 better food is served in hospital! This is not...a scrambled eggs but just crisp! They even didn’t provide Lemon to the salmon (lady tried to give me a quasi-lemon juice’ she used for feeding sandwiches 🤣🤣 Maybe they are specializing in cakes (don’t know as I’m not a fun of sweets) but definitely they are far away from preparing eggs!More

I tried to order a birthday cake for my sister this Tuesday for Thursday morning however there was a problem with the billing address on the website so I went to the shop the next day. I wanted to order a 10’’ red velvet cake....When I got to the shop I was told they couldn’t do 10 inch but they could do 6 or 8 which was absolutely fine. When I arrived the next morning I was greeted again by the two helpful lovely young girls one who I think was called Katie were serving me, however out of nowhere whilst trying to find the docket for my order a “manager” of the shop (who I later found out is a manager at another mannings not the one I was at, she was there covering for the day) aggressively got involved in the conversation. I was trying to explain that the day before I had come in asking for a 10 inch to try rehash to the young girl what my order was since she couldn’t find the docket she wrote the order on and this manager started shouting at me that they don’t have it and when I tried explaining that I know they don’t she just started shouting at these poor girls about where my docket was everything was well under control there was no need for her to get involved. I felt awful for the two girls as I could clearly see this tyrant of a manager had been treating them like this the whole shift and a lot of surrounding customers were visibly uncomfortable with it. I find it upsetting that these two young girls had way more professionalism and customer friendly attitudes. They 100% deserve a pay rise and this tyrant manager needs to be addressed! As someone who works in customer service I understand the stress and pressure of a busy peak in the day, however I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t address the situation considering how clear it was that these girls were being treated as badly as I had in my one experience their whole shift. No way to work! I hope I’ve helped make your business work environment a tiny bit better:). Incident occurred in mannings the square tallaght.More

This bakery makes the best red velvet cake and the best chocolate cakes as well as many other sweet treats. They have been around for a long time and they are consistently great. Go early though as they sell out fast daily. Otherwise, order online...to guarantee you get what you want.More

As a child of the 80s, Black Forest Gateau is my favourite birthday cake, even thought its a classic its very difficult to find an exemplary BFG in most bakeries. Well Mannings certainly delivers! I've had the BFG for 2 birthdays from here and it...is delicious, moist and just the right amount of kirsch. They are always perfectly decorated, and they keep well. I've had some dry, disappointing versions that use grapes (??) instead of cherries from other "traditional" bakeries. Keep it up Manning's!More

I've called them asking if they still had cakes for collection ( whole ones) and they confirmed that they had it , then I made my way to pick it up knowing that they close @ 18pm , I got there by 17:45 and one...of the girls had a really rude attitude shouting that they're closed . I can understand you start getting ready to close at that time but they customer service is horrible.More

Bought some pastries here and the food was delicious!!!! I gave a 4 star review because to get Ute delicious food, you have to be barked at by rude staff. :/
