A group of four arrived to Hatch and Sons earlier this week for a late breakfast/ lunch as it was recommended by our hotel. Hungry as we had been traveling for 24hours we were excited to eat.....However this restaurant is an overpriced joke. Our group of four ordered a large selection from the menu, including the famous 'baked eggs', blas,... More

I visited Hatch & Sons this morning and ordered the all day breakfast (like a traditional Irish grilled). Service was pleasant, and it was nice and quiet. First I ordered coffee, (they suggested filter) which was excellent, and came in a mug. It could have been hotter. The breakfast arrived a few minutes later, in a dinky little pan, atop... More

We liked the ambience, and the waitstaff, and the food. The only disappointment was the coffee- old and reheated. Even in a country of tea drinkers, we expected better than that.

Burnt bla, no roasted vegetables in the salad. There were a few pieces of what looked to be stewed carrot and some other tasteless vegetable. The brisket and kimchi is not a marriage made in heaven. Service was friendly and premises is interesting if a bit squashed.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch of smoked fish and brown bread, my colleague had the fresh chicken salad which was also delicious we also had dessert which we both enjoyed with real pot of Barry's Tea! It was busy and the service was good.

Lovely quirky place with delicious coffee! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Had a breakfast served in a little cast iron pan which was delicious! The home made brown bread was delicious! The place is pricey but what you would expect in any city centre! Would definitely recommend.

This little basement restaurant is simply furnished, and absolutely unpretentious. The cuisine is simply superb . . . fresh ingredients, individually prepared, and scrumptious to the taste. For breakfast, lunch, or to pop in for a pot of their excellent tea . . it's exquisite. A hidden gem, with prices which are surprisingly easy on the wallet!

We were waiting for our tour at the Little Museum of Dublin and it was a perfect place to go to grab a hot chocolate and tea while waiting. The staff were very friendly but the cafe was very crowded.

Description
We wanted to be a kitchen from the start. Heart of the house, source of sustenance, warmth and hospitality. A kitchen table is what we sat around discussing what evolved into Hatch and Sons and it remains central to what we do. All day dining of an informal and easy nature. No fuss, just good, honest, Irish food.
