1 star for bar staff and 1 star for food menu. Very awkward seating arrangements, not a pub at all really. Can’t blame them for making most of their revenue from the food because it’s decent. €20 minimum card payment, get with the times.
Love Eden, my guests do too. I work in tourism and have brought almost 50 groups of international visitors to Eden over the years. It has always been a highlight. Great food, funky yet classy ambience, value for money and Orlagh leads a diverse and...friendly team who have been consistently friendly and professional to all my guests and I. I just took this photo of the general ambience and scene as I was leaving tonight. Many thanksMore
I was at the restaurant on Saturday night as part of a birthday party celebration, so the venue had been pre booked. Out of 8 of us, 4 of us did not eat meat, but do eat fish. When we sat down we were told...that there was no fish or lobster To start I ordered their version of a caprese salad, which turned out to be 4 pieces of chopped up tomato & a lump of mozzarella on Gluten free bread. very disappointing, even cheapo chain restaurants can't get this one wrong. For main course some of the meat eaters could not eat their steaks as they were incinerated. The only thing they could offer me , who doesn't eat meat or gluten, were some very greasy stir fried vegetables, so unpleasant that I only managed some of the meal. I had asked if they could do a salad, and was told no. In fact the waiters response when we expressed our dismay at no fish, was to say I cannot make fish appear, what do you want me to do! I know that things like this happen, but its how we deal with it that counts, the abrupt attitude and unwillingness to compromise is a disaster in customer relations. The person whose birthday it was asked to speak to the manager, who really did little to improve the situation. I went to this restaurant in its hey day, with a friend of mine who was head chef elsewhere, and absolutely loved the experience. Sadly this is a huge fall from grace. I would not set foot in this place again if you paid me.More
Was there sat 1st sept 2018 with some friends there was 8 of us. Unfortunately there was no sea bas or lobster at 7 pm. The reason I was given was the fish mongrel didn't deliver surely with competition and shops around you would be...able to provide an alternative. I eventually choose fillet steak reluctantly but asked for it to be cooked medium but when it arrived it was well well done. Staff are nice but obviously trained to push wine and drinks purchase to the hilt. Restaurant very nice pity about lack of fish. I was however offered seafood linguini but I don't eat pasta. Just a note if finish delivery doesn't arrive go to dunes in George's st and buy something.also there was a vegan and vegetarian who had very little on offer for them and was unimaginitive.More
Ambience is eclectic and very pretty. Service was excellent. The menu and food were amazing. The lemonade was the best I have ever had. The cocktails were well crafted and delicious. Had my hotel been closer, I would have eaten here everyday. My favorite place...in Dublin so far.More
Arranged to meet friends for early bird at Eden bar and Grill we were not disappointed. Food and service were very good. Lovely buzz in the restaurant, lots of couples and groups all being well cared for. Early bird is really good value with reasonable...choices. It was great that there was no pressure to leave the table and we enjoyed a lovely evening. Would have no problem in recommending Eden to friends.More
Never quite sure what to expect in a new city, but this was a great find. The Eden breakfast was fantastic and was washed down with some well made and refreshing cocktails. The host was exceptionally friendly and professional.
Great restaurant recommended to us by a local. Atmosphere & food are excellent. Highly recommend this place for a nice sit down dinner. My picks: passion fruit margarita, French onion soup appetizer, roasted chicken with quinoa entree. All were excellent.
I brought my group of 22 here on our last night in Dublin. We were seated right by the open kitchen which was interesting to watch but also pretty warm during the unseasonably hot summer. The decor is so interesting and fun. Everywhere you look...there’s something unusual to see. The restaurant was very busy the night we went so service was a little slow. However, the food was definitely worth the wait. My husband had a seafood dish and I the homemade gnocchi. My desert was divine. I would definitely recommend Eden, but plan on a longer dinner than usual.More
