Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unfortunately our overall experience wasn’t very positive. It’s important to say from the beginning the food was flawless and really enjoyable. We attended the Lotts as a group of 5. We had a Dine In Dublin Voucher, gifted to us by a family both my...wife and I helped out from there time in need after a recent bereavement. My wife searched the Dine In Dublin to check if the Lotts was on it based on some positive recommendations based on the food, as you can see from the pictures they were. After sitting in the snug for a period of time with some relaxing and enjoyable beverages, we proceeded to our booked table, which also alerted them in the Lotts that we had a voucher, this was also displayed on the booking sheet on our table. When we got the attention of the floor/waitering staff after a considerable amount of time, my wife presented the voucher from Dine In Dublin to him, he replied no bother, keep it to the end. Once again after another period of time left unattended we were required to chase the staff to ask could we place a beverage order, followed by a food order. Food arrived. Faultless, flawless, delicious, amazing. (Different staff member) served us on a number of occasions who was a delight and 100% represents the typical Irish hospitality we all come to love and expect. Now moving on to where the poor service by some turned to shocking outcome. The Dine In Dublin voucher that was gifted to us by a grateful family wasn’t accepted because the management and owner (as per management) stated they weren’t signed up to this scheme, despite displaying it to the not so friendly staff member prior to ordering, despite it been all over the Dine In Dublin website (screenshots attached). Overall this was an unforgettable experience that will leave a sickly taste in all our mouths, the poor service could be overlooked by the amazing food, but the negative ending can’t be forgotten weather it’s the Lotts or Dine In Dublin that are at fault the customer service experience wasn’t positive and would encourage me to not recommend this establishment to others.More

Hi myself and the family have been going to lotts pub for years for a few drinks and food. I think that is all over now after our last visit. Firstly there is no service full stop. When I first went in I sat at...the bar for a drink there was no one to serve until I asked a chap on the floor was there any chance of getting a drink. That was nothing it got worse. They have a disabled toilet which opens right onto the eating area which I thought was illegal but every day is a learning day. We were sitting about 8ft away from this toilet. The door of the toilet was dragging on the floor hence would not close properly “why not make make it hard for the disabled” To make a long story short my daughter was complaining that she could see a person going the toilet. I felt sorry for the disabled person. Sad day for every one.More

Some family members and friends met at Lotts for a Christmas meal and drinks. Having enjoyed many fantastic evenings here before, there was an expectation that this would be at least as good. I joined the group after everybody had eaten, and was considering having...something to eat and drink. Sadly this was not to be...... Staff made no attempt to ask if I wanted to see a menu, or would like a drink, and after half an hour of being ignored by the serving staff, one of our party went to the bar to order drinks. Everybody agreed that the service standards had dropped to a dismal level. Of most concern was the imposition (without any prior notice) of a 10% service charge. This is the most questionable feature of the evening. How can they justify a stealth charge for non existent service?More

What a nice place and wonderful food. We had a main course with steak in the stone, was soo delicious. We also had a dessert, Baileys cheesecake also very good. At the end a Baby Guiness that blow’s your mind. Staff very friendly, good music...and the smallest pub in Dublin. I will return for sure to this place one day.More

It was our first time in this place and last... We had occasion my son graduation 🎓 I booked table up stairs, staff checked, it was no booking for that table for that day, were happy, we had plans, but... When we came our table...was busy, and staff didn't take responsibility, they even didn't say sorry 😡 we had to set in different place, if I new it before, I wouldn't booked table with them. If you want to celebrate something avoid this place, they will f***ed your plans.More

Excellent food and beer. Right in the heart of Dublin, this is a must visit during your stay. Order sit up top on the balcony, order Irish Stew and a pint of Guinness and watch the comings and goings.

The service was quick and efficient. The steaks although sirloin were great cuts and very tasty served with a side salad and Mashed potatos. They have a midweek special 2 steaks, 2 Salads and a bottle of wine for €39,00. A great choice for a...quick but hardy meal.More

We chose this place on a whim due to its proximity to our hotel and the fact we wanted a steak. We were not disappointed. They had excellent dinner specials and the steak is served on a hot stone so it cooks as you eat....The Sirloin was plenty big, and sides were also very tasty. A great steak, a bottle of wine and a pleasant atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. Highly recommend a visit here.More

Came here for dinner and took advantage of their steak deal. What excellent value for money! Any steak (I has fillet, my partner had sirloin) 2 salads, 2 side, sharer dessert and any wine for 70€ The steak came to cook on a stone which...was fabulous! Full of flavour and a fun experience. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Would recommend!More
