This was our second visit to O’Neill’s, the first being almost 9 years ago in May 2014. This time we brought our 2 teens along for lunch after walking over from the Epic Museum. It was pretty quiet when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. We sat in a snug in the back room. Wife and I both had the Seafood Chowder which was very good. Went perfectly with a nice pint of Guinness. Kids had fish & chips and a chicken burger both served with truffle cheese fries. Our server Jennette was friendly and helped answer a few questions we had about taking the bus. O’Neill’s is a beautiful cozy old historic Victorian Pub. Found it very interesting that Michael Collins had stayed in the rooms upstairs from the pub and had used it as a safe house for meetings. After lunch we caught the C3 bus right across the street to Kilmainham Goal.

I was at O’Neills recently with friends for a long over due catch up. O’Neills was a great choice as we were so well looked after with gorgeous food and excellent service! The truffle fries were stand out and combined with a few bar bites it was really filling. The fish and chips looked amazing and reports were similar. The pub is full of history and heard great stories about the historic significance of the place, for example Michael Collins used the rooms upstairs as a safe house. I’ll definitely be back soon for some more food and drinks. Looking forward also to stopping in for a quiet Christmas pint 🍻

Myself and my partner stopped here for breakfast this morning but it was disgusting! My partner would eat anything that didn’t talk back and even he couldn’t eat it. It was as if it had been prepared in advance and then microwaved or left under a grill? Looked like the eggs were scraped off of the road. It was a shame as we love going there for drinks to watch matches. Can’t fault the atmosphere for craic but would NEVER eat there again

I am sorry to hear of your terrible breakfast experience but I can 100% guarantee that you did not have it here . We serve breakfast in a private upstairs room only to our overnight guests, we do not serve breakfast to the public in our bar, in fact we do not open our doors until 12 noon when we start our lunch service There are several O'Neill's In Dublin the reviewer has obviously mixed us up with another establishment.

Stayed here for one night in September and to say it was a disappointment is a massive understatement. Location is great just down the road from Trinity collage and a short walk to the shenanigans of the Temple Bar. There’s a nice pub called Doyle’s just down the road as well. The check in process was quick and easy and the guy who assisted us was friendly and efficient. Check in is handled at the bar and then you are led outside to a separate entrance next to the pub. There are some fairly steep stairs leading up a tired looking hallway to the rooms. Our room was very tired indeed with a very dark & depressing feel to it, mis matched furniture and stained walls & doors. The door to the shower was hanging off and wasn’t the cleanest either. There is an separate room for tea, coffee etc which is pleasant enough but we didn’t use it as to be honest we just wanted to leave and get to our next hotel. Overall, this property has a run down b&b feel to it and at 195 euros a night that just isn’t good enough.

Dropped in here to meet up with some friends and try their offerings. Delicious Guinness on offer, poured to perfection. The food is fantastic, would heartily recommend the stew if it's on the menu, however it all looked appetizing. Great service from the staff, especially the lady with the short, silver hair and glasses. A treat! Would absolutely visit this place again.

My son & I popped in to this traditional Irish pub for lunch recently. We were encouraged to find a table and then a pleasant young lady came and took out order. I went for the fish and chips and a pint of Guinness. My son had a ham & cheese toastie and a coke zero. All good! Service and the overall atmosphere was great here. Highly recommended. The bill came in just under 40€.

Our first stop for on this recent trip to Dublin was for a pint and lunch at O'Neill's on Pearse St. Excellent Guinness and a spot-on BLT on sourdough bread. Just excellent. Service is very friendly and efficient. I make it a point to stop here on my trips to Dublin. It’s just that good. Note: in my photos l'm the one who put the smile on the Guinness. Just remember it's the O'Neill's on Pearse Street. It is NOT the one by the Molly Malone statue. This one on Pearse St is, in my opinion, far superior to any others.

Great pub, food was excellent and great value for money. We stayed in the guest house attached to the pub and the room and facilities were good. The staff were all friendly and most helpful, and you are only a short walk away from all of the attractions. I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay that's reasonably priced and full of atmosphere.

My father and I stayed down the street at the Trinity Dublin Hotel. Our first night we were looking for a quick pub lunch, and we walked a few steps away to O'Neills. For a first pint and first meal it did not disappoint. Everyone was friendly, the service was excellent, and the food tasty. So much so that we returned three more times over the next three days. We just found everything from the food to the pints to the people outstanding.

I entered this pub for a last drink at about 23:00, next to my hotel. As soon as I entered, I was asked whether I felt sober. ??????? Come on! I’m 52. Yes. I felt sober. Finally, I was served but it ruined the mood.

We had eaten here before and the food was just ok. We went back at night for the Irish Dancers. This place is huge and can easily get lost. We wandered around and figured we had found the correct spot. The room is extremely small. We did have perfect seats. I think we were actually on the dance floor. So close that we couldn't even get a good video of my sister dancing with them. I haven't noticed any other bar advertising dancers so that's why we picked O'Neill's. We enjoyed the experience .

Had dinner here on a busy Friday night. Staff was busy but attentive and we were served quickly too, considering the crowd inside. We had fish and chips and they were tasty. The place had a good Irish pub ambience, would definitely recommend this place.

Our first visit to Ireland. We checked in and immediately headed down to this very nice Irish Pub near our hotel. Loved the food and the service. Excellent Guinness pint. Very creamy and refreshing! Recommend the Tempura prongs. We also had the fish and chips and an excellent chocolate mousse. Recommend this place.
