Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The ambiance is wonderful, highlighted by the painted ceiling in this former station. Service was excellent, as were the Guinness stew and fish and chips—the best battered fish I’ve ever had. And the food came out quick and very hot, which we appreciated on the...cold evening.More

Came in for a bite to eat after a long day before heading home. As we came in the door we couldn't get anyone es attention to be seated for food. I had the steak sandwich and my companions had fish and chips. The steak...sandwich was very dry, and the pepper sauce had skin on the top. Given the price i would expect better. Left to head home and realised we had forgotten a bag, my son went back to get it and as he entered a staff member put his hand on him grabbing his arm. He wasn't allowed enter because he was in tracksuit bottoms. He explained and the man finally took his hand off him and allowed him enter. He is autistic and his bottoms weren't an issue when we were spending money. Definitely will not be going back.More

When in Dublin ,always a great spot for having a drink whilst girls go shopping! Decided to eat here for first time but were a little disappointed. Fish and chips ok but fish wasn't the freshest, sausage and mash the sausages were overcooked and the gravy...tasted like it was made from granules. Daughter said her cottage pie was ok. Staff all very friendly. Maybe we just got a bad day.More

Last night in town, and I wanted one last traditional Irish meal. I wanted fish and chips, and we went to a place that specializes. My wife vetoed that restaurant because all she could smell was fish. We walked a little farther down O'Connell and...walked into Grand Central Dublin. Very busy but they found a table for us. We looked at the menu and found it acceptable. I ordered the Irish Lamb Stew. My wife ordered the Turkey and Ham Vol au Vents. Food arrived quickly. Very good tasting. I would order the same thing next time. This location is highly recommended!More

robrobrob26 (0 review) The supposed fresh cod was absolutely terrible for 18 euro there would be more fish on a frozen fish finger. The chicken curry wasnt as disasterous but was over cooked supplied with a tiny but of naan bread. To top if off..., the waiting staff took my cash and didn't return the 20 cent change , again I wasnt chasing it but its the principle of it. Bad experience for a xmas meal.More

This is one of my favourite pubs in the City Centre, we pop in here all the time if in town doing shopping or if we are heading somewhere near town. The staff are always lovely and the atmosphere is good too. Its a really...relaxed pub that is in a great location, near shop and public transport BUT the food menu I really dont like it used to be great until they paired it down when they reopened after covid and the choice is not that good. I applaud them for the vegan options as that is where lots of places fall down but the rest of the menu is just a little ponsy. We are going to town on Dec 16th for our annual shopping day out and sadly we wont be going here because of the food menu when we have been going here for years.More

Stunning building. Great atmosphere and the Bolivian waitress we had was so lovely. Food was superb. Irish stew and stir fry particularly good. Only thing I would say is tables were absolutely packed in so you couldn’t move around easily and very loud and hot...in there. Other than that, Very enjoyable evening and would recommend and come back again.More

I have been coming to this bar/restaurant for years now and the food never disappoints, Great selection on the menu and the food is beautiful , real home cooked dinners . We have a 10months old baby’s bed have been bringing here here often since...she was born and it’s never too noisy, very family friendly . But what really makes the difference on every visit are the staff! They are so friendly , so welcoming and just so down to earth ! All the staff are amazingg but special shout out to Natalia who is just so lovely and always so helpful, she is a credit to the place :)More
