Had lunch here recently. Nice surroundings, in same building as great museum, and within Dublin Castle. Self- service. Had tasty lamb main course, Middle Eastern-syle stew. Dessert less good, but possibly chose badly (chocolate biscuity thing).

I hadn't been here for a while and had forgotten how fantastic their middle-eastern food is. However, even the great-looking moussaka and stuffed peppers couldn't tempt me when the Silk Road's amazing salad was available. In my opinion, this is the best salad in Ireland. 10.50 may sound like a lot for a salad but this is a huge plate... More

The good- food was delicious, great choice of meals. The bad- food was luke warm The ugly- the man who served us was impatient as we were deciding on what to have. He gave us a hard time for rescheduling our booking as we had previously booked the day before but had to change. Not professional behaviour. Back to positive... More

Fantastic little cafe serving superb and healthy food. A great range of delicious salads and main meals. Very busy during peak times and the process of lining up to pay for your meal after you've been served at the counter means the food can go a little cold if the queue is too long. Otherwise, would definitely return.

This cafe is located inside the Chester Beatty Library and has a cheerful vegetarian menu. Souple, salads, sandwiches and all reasonably priced. I had curry lentil soup and it was delicious!

We stopped in during our visit to the Chester Beatty Library for some much-needed caffeine. The latte was great and so were the baked goods! They also have tons of great looking Middle Eastern food, so this would be an awesome place to stop for lunch.

I had no idea this place even existed until I found myself at a conference in the Chester Beatty library. Lots of choice for a hot lunch, mediterranean style foods, which I love. Kofte, Hummous, Bean Salads and Moussakas, that sort of fare. Good coffee and Baklava on offer too. Prices are reasonable for lunch and it's a lovely building... More

Absolutely awful. We had the exotic afternoon tea...the warm food was OK but the cakes were stale. Coffee was cold and waaaaay too strong. No one came over to us once we were served to make sure we were getting on ok.wine was like vinegar... the whole thing was just shockingly bad

Tried afternoon tea here with a friend. Lovely atmosphere surrounded by the grounds of Dublin Castle. Selection of Chicken Satay skewers, Moussaka and various pastries. Staff were lovely. We visited the Chester Beatty Library beforehand. Well worth a visit. Take a stroll outside and visit the Gardai memorial garden.

Feeding the newly minted vegetarian, the hard-to-please 11-going-on-irritating year old and me the food snob is no ones idea of fun. Silk Road did it with aplomb. Veggie omelette was savory, spinach and lentil soup delightfully smooth and falafel excellent.
