Living in Lucan, this USED to be our local...but it has majorly gone down hill both in cleanliness and staff wise. The whole restaurant and toilets need a major scrub. Dirty floors, sticky tables, filthy bathrooms, ridiculous for a small cafe. The staff are so laid back, we had brunch and they forgot a drink, no cutlery, got the order... More

feeling of dirtiness when you go past the till area. is ok sitting near door. food is average. they do good coffee and dessderts

Three of us went for Breakfast on the 10th July. Place was near empty when we arrived. We place an order for three breakfasts and tea for three. Is this place ever going to improve? For the first time ever good service! But then I was charged for coffee which is included with the breakfast. While attempting to support local eateries I do return occasionally but I feel it's time to give up on this place.

I suffer with coeliac and asked for extra rashers and mushrooms instead of sausage and pudding with gluten free bread and my partner ordered the full Irish with tomato. Before writing this review, I looked at the previous reviews and was very surprised. My time at the now Bistro 5 was much different. I have lived in Lucan a number of years now and I have came to visit here more often than I wanted to due to how local it was to me. The food is alright, I cannot complain to much about it but the quality of service is what really puts it down. I was scammed the first time around.... More
