The food is incredible. One of the best steaks in Dublin. You must get the million dollar fries when you visit. They seem like they are potato gratin cut up into towers and deep fried, They are unbelievably good. The reason I haven't given Bear a 5 star is because the chairs can be kind of uncomfortable and also the... More

Didn't know anything about Bear, we passed by and it just looked so cosy. We decided to stay and glad we did! Staff was very friendly and helpful, food was really really good. Atmosphere was relaxing and we had a great time. Highly recommend this place

Visited with family and friends for an evening meal before heading out for a few beers around town. I shared the bavette with my son and we both really enjoyed it - the flavour was fantastic. The horseradish bechamel we ordered with it was the perfect accompaniment. And if you do pay a visit, I highly recommend the millionaire fries... More

We stumbled on this place entirely by accident, and were so pleased we did! We were looking for a lively place with good food for a good price, and we got so much more than that. The steak was one of the best I've ever had, and the drinks and presentation were also excellent. The total cost (steak and drinks)... More

Went here twice and both times found the steak to be just average. On my second visit I ordered wine and was brought the wrong order first of all. The second wine I ordered was brought to me with what looked like mould floating in it - it was replaced but very poor service to not notice this.

I found the staff very friendly, I ordered an expensive steak but it really disappointed, very tough and not worth the price.

Went there 3 times and the taste of the same steaks we ordered was never the same, it's just alarming how inconsistent the quality and taste can be. Service was great the first time but poor the other 2 times, again inconsistency here. It's one of the few steak places in Dublin where you can go without having a reservation... More

We looked around so many places trying to find somewhere we wanted to eat on a Friday night in Dublin and stumbled across Bear. Welcoming, friendly, a little bit quirky and a great looking menu. The food was amazing we had 9oz flat iron steak, 8oz rump and fries, salad and flavoured butter to share. The steaks were cooked to... More

Not the greatest experience for food, although a nice environment. I ordered a Steak and Eggs option on the menu for €12.50 and instead of a cut of steak, I got small chopped up pieces of steak (at best about 4 or 5 pieces) buried under a mountain of beetroot and other vegetables. I was still hungry leaving the restaurant... More
