Wow! Best dinner of our trip.
Simply incredible. It all starts with service. Waitress Melinda was amazing! Very welcoming and attentive with great suggestions.
And of course, the food matched the service! We both had the crab linguini, sourdough bread, salad and wait for it, a side of chips (fries) WHICH WERE THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD. Are we talking about fries? Yes. I’m telling you the whole ensemble of culinary delights was… delightful. Ended with Apple and Blackberry Crumble. If you force me to have one critisism I would have loved a second scoop of ice cream. Delish!
Don’t leave this gem off your dinner list when visiting Dublin, and ask for MELINDA!

Excellent meal! our starters were delicious and presentation was attractive:
1) Smoked trout with a yorkshire pudding (nice flavour on that trout).
2) we also had the beef tartar (so perfectly prepared and presented).
Our wee side starter of sourdough bread was nice & soft with crunchy crust.
Good bottle of Spanish red wine to go with it all
Our main was the Steak + prawns + oysters and chips (a couple onion rings in there too) (platter for 2). We ordered our steak rare and it was PERFECT! the seasoning was spot on too. It was was plenty of food for 2. very nice.
Our server was Alex and he was really good. Speedy with the orders and topping up wine. Funny banter. A really enjoyable night all around. We didn't reserve and walked in for a 6pm meal and got a great seat. it did fill up soon after we got there.
If I were to find 1 improvement - it was that the Yorkshire putting in the starter was a bit too dark for me. but it was close. What a great great meal.
The room is lovely too - it straddles a line between casual and chic.
On the money-front, I was plsantly surprised at the good value.
I'll go back 100%

We had the surf and turf for two, the meat was a little tough but tasted good. The Caesar salad was good and interestingly had bacon bits, lots of them - a first for me. We went the whole shebang and had drinks including Irish coffee. All in all a nice meal on our last night on a weekend with our nephew.

Having been told how great this restaurant was supposed to be, myself and my husband decided to give it a try. It was a very big disappointment with a steak that was not cooked to order and a side that was doused in what tasted like a vinegar oil. The steak was a fillet ordered to be medium, however, when it first arrived it was raw on the inside and it was returned to the kitchen where it was probably there 5mins. The said steak returned and had not been touched by a pan. My husband had gone beyond wanting anything else as the Manager attentively offered up alternatives. In my opinion, if a Chef cannot cook a medium steak to order there is a problem in the kitchen! To be fair, the starters were delicious which made it a very promising start and my fish and chips were fine (nothing to write about). The staff were very pleasant, one thing I would say is that when pouring wine, it should be in the glass and not dripped on the table....
I would not recommend this restaurant and would certainly avoid for any corporate occasions!

Absolutely shocking. How does a restaurant close at 8 pm on a Sunday in central Dublin?. Yes the weather is atrocious you take the good with the bad.. I have actually ate here so many times Luke the Manager is absolutel the best..he's what makes this pkace.. Unfortunately he on holiday in Italy. Spend £40 euro yes on wine plus water only its the Principal … I was going to eat to be informed at 7.50 the kitchen was closing in ten minutes never heard anything like it... Eat my food in 13 minutes its not McDonald’s, it’s supposedly supposed to be a restaurant

We had burrata and scotch egg to start, both were gorgeous, full of flavour especially the scotch egg. We had two steaks for mains, cooked perfectly, sides of chips and mushrooms were fresh. Presentation was excellent, service was excellent, we moved to the bar to finish the night with cocktails the manager was very friendly running through all the cocktails with us. Can’t wait to return again. Lovely birthday evening to remember.

We ate here on January 1 and were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, the ordered cocktails only arrived at the table after the starters had been served. As a starter we had the toast with Crab and the soup of the day, with butternut and squash. Both dishes were delicious. As a main course, two of the four had the surf and turf. This dish consisted of a piece of steak, a few grilled scampi, a few gratinated oysters and a few breaded onion rings, served with fries. This dish was tasty and varied. The other 2 people had penguins with crab and tortellini with pumpkin, both dishes were delicious. The portions are not very large. An appetizer is needed.

Lovely night out in a relaxing and unpretentious atmosphere. Excellent meals, huge pork chop done to perfection, delicious reduction (sauce), very tasty greens as side. Stuffed chicken was delicious, fried stuffing "ball" so tasty we wanted more. Delicious sauce. Only negative were the mashed potatoes, tasted like day old scooped out baked potato. Absolute highlight was our server Connor, funny, witty, charming, knowledgeable about menu offerings, he should teach classes on how to make patrons feel welcome and special.

Very expensive for what you get. I had a steak, for 39 Euro I wanted to be blown away. Only just ok, but for the price was not value at all. Thin smashed out piece of rump - and quite small. Service was very spotty - getting a drink is a challenge, need more staff. My wife and daughter said their food was good, I had crispy squid as a starter that was very good.

On entering the restaurant we stood and waited to be greeted. The decor was very tastefully done. The table for two was far to small, once our main course was served it was difficult with table too cluttered to enjoy the space. The staff were friendly, but we would have expected more (attentive) there was no obvious management presence. The food was okay, surf & turf for two was very small portions (onion rings tasteless) , but for the price point was over priced. We had great expectations, but we where very disappointed with the overall experience.

Four of us celebrated a birthday here, and Jamie Oliver lives up to the hype and reputation. His use of local ingredients and fresh seafood and meat combine for dishes that feel both comforting and original at the same time. Of special note was the scallops and risotto special. Service couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful—and they did a lovely birthday “surprise” at dessert that was celebratory without being over the top. This is a superb restaurant.

Four of us on the Christmas lunch with a 45 minute wait because of over Booking – greed
Scotch egg with black pudding outer – very nice, but overcooked.
We all had roast of the day with all the trimmings – beef, sirloin, which was served medium rare, but was very tough to eat. The Yorkshire puddings had been cooked for hours and were dark brown. The carrots were full of Chili, which two of our guests disliked, the cabbage was not fully cooked and the roast potatoes were bland – not like Jamie Oliver crispy roast potatoes on YouTube
Cheeseboard for dessert and coffee – both acceptable. Wine served halfway through a main course – not enough staff. Would not go back again.

Our first visit to Ireland, we ended up dining here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, both times we had the same server; Connor. There are times when your server elevates your experience. Connor was amazing and answering our questions and guiding us through the menu with queries and an honest assessment of the dishes.
The food was very good, i had a delicious skewered Cesar salad, my wife the pumpkin ravioli. The salad five stars, the salad... uh 3 , undercooked squash, undercooked pasta...
for dinner, i had the grilled cod, with mussels, clams and shrimp, when i mentioned one shrimp seemed a bit sparse (as the dish was sat down), Connor agreed and returned with a sumptuous addition of fresh grilled shrimp, my wife who was skeptical after the ravioli, followed Connor's recommendation of the pork chop with apples and was won, over, her best meal of the week trip.
So all in all, highly recommended and if you get Connor, you will be fortunate

We were a party of nine. The menu is limited but comprehensive in that there was plenty of choice to suit everyone’s tastes. The starters and mains were really great - good quality ingredients and produce, both fish and meat - cooked perfectly. The deserts were fine but not as good as the former. Overall I would recommend.

Our large group was celebrating a colleague's retirement, we had the parlour room reserved downstairs; such a lovely intimate space. First impressions were fab, attention from staff - fab, food - gorgeous. My choices were the scotch egg (so tasty), fillet with bernaise sauce on the side (perfection) and my all time favourite sticky toffee pud (one small thing, sauce could have been hot)....the whole meal was just delish and I was stuffed after it! Our server Conor was top notch and made an enjoyable evening even better, he was hilarious, so engaging, nothing was a problem and we had him run-ragged with all our requests !! Well done to all, we will be returning.
