One of our go to places in the city is this authentic Italian restaurant. All the staff appear to be Italian and all the food is typical Italian and with a wide variety to select from. Comparing this to other similar restaurants we found that the price is very competitive, for example, a 9 oz. fillet steak with all the trimmings is just under €30. Starters and desserts are also competitively priced. We both had steak as a main and they were excellent, as were the starters and main course. Coupled with a nice bottle of "Nero D'avalo" we had a wonderful evening.

Busy venue for lunch so best advised to book in advance. The pasta salmone was perfect and extremely tasty. Other members of the party had the baked cod which looked amazing and the pizzas with crispy bases were equally great. Rounded off with delicious and creamy coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We were visiting from Somerset England. We found the restaurant when walking from our nearby hotel. We had such a superb meal in the evening that on the followind day when meeting up with friends for lunch we decided to cancel our booked reaataurant and rebooked the Caffe Di Napoli. Again all had such a superb meal, We can highly recommend this restaurant, the seafood risotto is well recommended. A superb place with true italian food. We will definately return on our next visit to Dublin

Having dropped in the previous week for a coffee and slice of pizza which was enjoyable, I suggested we return to try the lunch. We ordered calamari which were sliced thickly and coated in a thin and crispy batter. However they were so chewy, they were not enjoyable. They were served with some chopped tomatoes and cucumber which was nice and fresh. We ordered chicken caeser salad. The menu said it was smoked chicken, but it was small pieces of plain chicken. But the whole dish was over coated in thick mayonnaise rendering it inedible. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing The restaurant was packed and other diners seemed to be enjoying their lunch. Not us unfortunately. Finished with coffees and icecream dessert which were nice.

My husband and I had dinner here once, after the Hotel Davenport recommended it as a nearby restaurant that served a good dinner. The ambiance is that of a polished Italian restaurant, rather than a simple pizza restaurant. We walked in without a reservation around 5:00. The restaurant did not look busy. The host gave us a disapproving look and asked us to sit wait for a minute to see if he could fit us in. He agreed to seat us. He told us we would have a time limit for dinner, something like 1.5-2:00 hours. We agreed. We have heard similar snobby speeches from other restaurants elsewhere in Europe. (We rarely make dinner reservations in Europe as it is difficult to use our American cell phones.) The table service was fine. My husband ordered a dish with clams, prawns, calamari, tomatoes, etc. He got some ravioli with it. I believe I ordered a meat dish with a mushrooms sauce. I thought my dinner was very good. My husband was not impressed with his dinner. We both liked our salads a lot. The cannoli dessert was excellent. The food at this restaurant was magnitudes better than another Italian restaurant we visited in Dublin.

Great spot for coffees, sandwiches and downstairs is their dining area. Busy and buzzy with good staff who know how to make an excellent espresso. My tuna sandwich was delicious as was my granddaughter's ham and cheese croissant. A double espresso and an apple juice set us up nicely for a day of exploring in Dublin

I have been to this cafe many times and always enjoyed the sandwiches, coffee and cakes. But it was such a bad experience I thought I would write a review. I waited at the counter for quite a while for my food when sitting down there were a few crumbs on the table. My young child was sitting down already and the waitress wiped all the dirty crumbs on top of him!! When my food was sitting in the counter was passed dirty dishes which was carried over fresh food! Really a lesson in food hygiene is on the cards

The best Ravioli Frutti de Mare (Seafood Ravioli) I've had. Absolutely gorgeous. Great filled pasta, beautiful prawns, mussels were a bit small, but probably not in season. Sauce was to die for. The only possible criticism I had is the lovely hot food was served on cold plates, which I fed back to the waiter as feedback, but I feel may have been received a criticism. Easily solved in the kitchen.

We were under a time pressure to get a tasty lunch in the vicinity and this wee gem fitted the bill perfectly - we were sat down and looked after by an attentive waiter and enjoyed the most delicious lunch of standing, gnocchi and seafood linguine with a delicious bottle of wine. Later we struggled to get booked in somewhere and knew we couldn’t go wrong by going back here for pizzas. Now we love our pizza and my goodness, but this was fantastic pizza. I also had a salad and some fries alongside (we were hungry). Then I had affogato which normally has a scoops of icecream in - here they had 3 scoops of gorgeous icecream and my husband had a fantastic tiramisu. Then we were treated to limoncello. All so very fairly priced too, especially for central Dublin. We are fairly in the know when it comes to Italian food and this place was bang on for authenticity! Go! You won’t regret it if you love food, good wine and a cosy atmosphere.

The Caffe’ Napoli in Dublin, has been an exquisite experience for me and for these reasons: Food, dishes and Customer Service !!! It has been a fantastic lunch followed with an excellent kindness and caring for me ! I really wish to recommend this amazing place to everyone who is Dublin for vacation or for business ! I got delicious dishes and a unique kindness from the staff and that has made me so happy and for sure it distinguished themselves from the other reastaurants in Dublin. Surely, within all the restaurants in Dublin, Caffe’ Napoli will remain in my heart for the lovely people I met … I am pretty sure that all of you around a trip in Dublin will have an amazing experience with this lovely restaurant ! I will not forget all of you at the Caffe’ Napoli !! Best Regards, Daniela

One of, if not the best, Italian meals we have ever had. Went with my wife and her family and everyone agreed that this was the best meal we had on our trip to Dublin. Everything is made from scratch, and all ingredients were very fresh. Service was welcoming and friendly, and with the restaurant being down below, it was a very cozy atmosphere. 10/10 Recommend, and definitely a highlight of our entire Europe trip. We ordered lamb ragu, veal tenderloin, and pasta dishes that were all incredible!

Really enjoyable Monday evening. Pleasant atmosphere but not too noisy. Efficient service. Delicious, genuine Italian food. Unpretentious and not too dear for Dublin. Girls loved the pizza. Seafood pasta and veal special also tasted great and cooked expertly.

Very impressed with the quality, portions and the overall price here at lunch. Had a sharing plate of meat, cheese and breads with spread which was generous and very tasty. Seafood risotto was excellent, as was a dish of gnocchi, and crab ravioli was also very tasty. Definitely recommend checking this out - this was off the a la carte menu and was excellent value. Oh and service was spot on too.

This is one of my favourite coffee spots in Dublin. It is very authentically Italian and the staff are always lovely. The coffee is rich and delicious and there are always some tasty pastries or cakes to go with it - also a great range of pizza slices or sandwiches. Down below the cafe part is an excellent restaurant that would be a review in and of itself.

Was way way too warm. We left straight after mains as it was so uncomfortable. Service wasn't great and a bit odd (served warm water and had to ask for iced, cutlery & plates placed randomly while looking away etc). But the food was really nice - I had minestrone for starter and sea food risotto for main which was fab.
