This is a great place for quick service with a buzzy atmosphere. My favourite dish is the octopus balls that comes with 6 pieces and a gorgeous sauce. The sushi here is great too!

I've been to Yamamori a couple of times and can safely say one of the interesting dinner spots. The taste is consistent and in the ballpark and pretty decent Japanese beer. The place is always crowded so always better to reserve, it's close to 'The...More

It might not be at the subtle end of Japanese cooking, but there's no shame in that. If I'm being very critical, the tempura batter could have been lighter, and the pork in the gyoza wasn't necessarily to my taste, but everything else was very...More

I visited izakaya last night with my girlfriend. We had an early evening booking and it says online that you only have the table for 1.5 hours (which is very short...). When we arrived early we went straight downstairs and got a drink because it...More

Went here on a recommendation for cocktails and food - front of the house staff were downright rude. Having bought a drink we were also told to move to an area where there was no seats available and TOLD TO STAND while seats remained vacant...More

I found the staff to be very unreasonable - asking myself and my date to move to another table three times. Firstly, we moved to a couch, then after about 40 minutes we were asked to move from the couch to a high table (another...More

We had their sets of japas and sushi for sharing. We were a group of three and the sharing dishes were for two so we took both. Definitely enough food. The japas were our definite favorites. Everything delicious. The sushi was good but did not...More

Description
YAMAMORI IZAKAYA, located at 12-13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland's very first cafe. This old Bewleys building boasts original oriental style decor with a twist. Enjoy the 1940's Chinese and Japanese beer ads and movie posters with a great Asian beer or rice wine, and try our dublin famous homemade Izakaya burger. After your meal we have a lounge downstairs where you can catch a nice Izakaya Lycee cocktail, and enjoy some modern sounds from Dublin's up and coming DJ's. Downstairs is a Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese style pub food dishes with great Japanese whiskeys, beers and sake. Come for food or drinks, chill out and listen to some urban lounge deep and soul tunes. The Izakaya has a retro easy going atmosphere and is open 7 days a week from 17:30 and is available for private bookings.
