Old style pub, wonderful guinnes, perfect menu for lunch, not for dinner, Bono , who lives in Vico Road, five min walking from the pub, sometimes goes there for a beer. Even the Edge lives here, Sorrento Road.

Finnegans is a great pub in good company with Dalkey which is a great town. If you are visiting Ireland you must make some time to visit Dalkey. It is well situated fairly close to Dublin and a very warm and friendly place with loads to see and do. Take yourself for a walk on the escarpment above the town... More

Huge portions with good and simple food. The meals were served very fast, and the waiter was so sweet and friendly. Recommended for everyone who's not looking for a gourmet experience, but a good and authentic irish restaurant with extremely low prices.

Nice Pub, unfortunately their kitchen was closed when we arrived here after a ball game, so they couldn't help us with our intense hunger! Nice atmosphere, cute town, well placed on the coast. Didn't spot Bono!

Make sure you leave plenty of time to visit the lovely seaside town of Dalkey when in Dublin. Beautiful, quaint with lots of shops and pubs to visit. This pub is quite iconic as it is almost immediately next door to Maeve Binchey's home, she wrote many of her books in this pub. Lots of locals that love to chat... More

Visited Finnegan's on a Sunday. Service and waitresses were good, however the food and value for money was poor. 2 scampi and a roast beef were ordered. At €19 each the portion of scampi came with 7 small pieces came with a leaf of parsley and half a cherry tomato with a measly bowl of chips. The roast beef was... More

Made this one of my stops while in Dalkey since I had heard that this is Bono's pub. Very nice atmosphere. Ordered the corned beef and cabbage. Maybe it was just an off day, but the corned beef was very dry and there wasn't much of it. Also, the cabbage was very salty. I was in Dalkey for 4 days,... More

This is a great pub, great atmosphere and good quality food and drink. However be very careful where you sit as there are people, regulars who think they own the place and will let you know all about it to the point of forcing you out of the place.

My sister and I popped in here to try some authentic Irish cuisine and we were NOT disappointed. I got the equivalent of a shepherd's pie and she got something similar but with fish. The portions were huge and the price was extremely affordable. Our server was a sweetheart too. She checked on us regularly and was very helpful in... More

We only stopped for a drink. The atmosphere is as good as a pub gets. The service was wonderful. The bartender was talkative and told us about the local area. This pub was recommended to us by a local and you could see the locals go to it. We didn't eat, so I can't say anything about the food.
