Great people, great atmosphere...Donal and the gang run a terrific pub.....a real favorite. Food is excellent as well as the Guinness. Go at the weekends and experience a great atmosphere....and if you get the chance, go and watch a rugby match on the big screen...only place to go!!

This is a clannish cliquey place where the owner makes a virtue of deliberately ignoring non regulars, ie anyone who has not graced his pub for decades, but his staff make up for his apparent rudeness with their charm and professional service. There are less expensive venues but Finnegan's of Dalkey (AKA The Sorrento Lounge AKA Dan's) is just great. The food is excellent and on the upper end of the scale for this genre. Staff are very pleasant and the atmosphere is good. It just works!

I have frequented Finnegans for the last few years and it is always a pleasure to walk through the doors. The food (open crab sandwich) is good but the pints are excellent quality. Service is always excellent, the atmosphere great and the odd superstar sitting in the corner by the fire! On a nice day sitting outside with the sun... More
