We went to Finnegan's on the way back from the amazing seafront of dalkey. We had great food and a couple of pints of Guinness. Great quality/price ratio, nice and quiet pub

Stopped in for a post-dinner whiskey on the way back to our hotel in Dalkey. We took the DART train from Dublin city center, and then a taxi after Finnegan's back to our hotel (the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel) up the hill from town. Finnegan's had been highly recommended to us by an artist friend from Ireland, and she did not... More

We finished a night of shopping by stopping by this wonderful Irish pub in Dalkey! The waitstaff waited on us immediately! They struck up a conversation with us, asking about America, and had actually been to New York. Other patrons sat beside us and happily joined in the conversation. We felt very warm and welcomed by these locals. They were... More

As anyone who knows Dalkey will testify - it's lovely small village, with a few very good restaurants (eg. The Guinea Pig) and some good bars. A classic Irish pub, run by a family which were all very kind, unfortunately we did not have lunch here but, we did try their Irish Coffee and it was brilliant, would reccomend to anyone that wants an authentic Irish Coffee.

A fantastic family run pub great for a nice quite pint and fabulous for lunch. Real Home cooked food. Great staff and service and would you believe there's always a Finnegan there behind the counter working. What I'd call a real pub with real staff and good service. By the way the apple crumble is to die for. " if... More

Old style pub, wonderful guinnes, perfect menu for lunch, not for dinner, Bono , who lives in Vico Road, five min walking from the pub, sometimes goes there for a beer. Even the Edge lives here, Sorrento Road.

Thank moniadg
