In Dublin for the Tradfest, popped in after a show for some food and was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff, the food on offer, and the live music which seemed to be on constantly. Enjoyed the experience so much we returned twice more during our stay. A very busy pub with a typically warm Irish welcome. The service from the staff was good and attentive when we needed them. Particularly of note was Jean. Would recommend this as a venue offering good food at fair prices with live music as an additional benefit.

Great find right in the heart of Temple Bar area, lively, friendly and worth a visit. Reasonably priced food (€30 ish for both) but bloody amazing. We went for a Cottage pie and Guiness / Steak stew that were both bursting with flavour and very filling. Drinks are bit more expensive but to be expected where you are (about €15 for 2 pints). Friendly waiter, sadly dont remember his name, but he made us feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening listening to some traditional music.

I couldn’t choose a better place to eat my first Irish meal. The spot was as Irish as possible with delicious, fresh, authentic food, live Irish music, and impeccable service. I ordered more than I was able to eat. However, the menu was so tempting that I couldn’t resist. I fully agree with other positive reviews I’ve read about this place. I ordered seafood chowder, Irish cottage pie, onion rings, Baileys cheesecake, and a beer. The meat was so intense in taste with an exceptionally dark color that exactly reflected the taste. Bailey’s cheesecake is worth mentioning as well, especially for those who like Baileys. In fact, there is no dish that doesn't deserve to be mentioned. Overall, it was an excellent dinner full of cozy food on a rainy winter day.

Seeking live music on a very rainy Friday we headed for the Old Storehouse on the basis of a recommendation and ended up staying for several hours as the Guinness was good and so was the music (in this case a guy called Sean Coffey). We also tried the fish and chips, which was really good. Come Sunday we thought we would go back for a couple of hours before we had to head to the airport. Deciding we would have lunch we ordered a chicken burger and a beef casserole. The burger was OK but the casserole had a strong aniseed taste that was completely out of place and it felt like the accompanying mash had been simply dumped on top before being stuck in a microwave. When the waiter came to clear the table I mentioned that the casserole wasn't great but he had no idea how to handle negative feedback and certainly didn't offer an alternative or to take it off the bill. I know places only have to get people in once because someone else will be along tomorrow, but that is such a short-sighted approach. I am happy to take my money elsewhere.

We a party of 4 arrived at about 19:30 on a Thursday night in early December and feel we were very lucky to get in. After showing our vaccine certificates and saying that we wanted to eat we were shown to our table. The place was very busy. On ordering our food we were told that our food would take about 30 minutes. The food was basic pub food and large portions. There was a great atmosphere in the bar with quite a few live performers. The staff were very busy and efficient.

We went to this Restaurant on our last day in Ireland to have some good food. Good food is not what we received. The Steak was so dry and chewy for 28,50€ and the mushrooms with pasta was flavourless! They didn't even give us a discount because they new we were tourist and new people would just come. The fried food is good, but they can't offer anything else but beer and music. Too bad I was conviced by the good ratings of others.

Had probably the worse experience today - they got the order for the child wrong two times, second time we didn’t send it back. The waiting between the starters and the main course was around 50 mins. The main complaint was about my husband’s main course - there were tons of mushrooms in the beef Guinness stew, barely any beef at all. When I mentioned that I was told by the manager that mushrooms were vegetables. She never apologized for any of that, was overall rude and very unpleasant. the whole lunch was a disappointment that’s costed nearly €100

Visited earlier this month and was our first venue upon arrival in Dublin. Fantastic traditional Irish pub. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and great value for money with three pints of Guinness, two glasses of Pinot Grigio, chicken wings for starters and two Guinness & Irish beef casseroles for mains coming in at less than €77. There was a fella on stage with a guitar singing traditional Irish songs plus some U2 hits and the entertainment was quality. Well worth a visit!

This bar has many levels so you can be close to the live music and away in a quiet area, service is great and the beer too. The food looked really good too but did not eat here. Just off temple bar so slightly cheaper too.

I had dinner here my first night in Dublin. I was skeptical if it would really be good being in the very touristy Temple Bar, but this place far exceeded my expectations. With the warm hospitality of the staff, ambiance, live music, families delicious Irish pub food, it was honestly one of the favorite memories of the trip. As an American with Irish blood, its everything i wanted an Irish pub experience to be.

We chose The Old Storehouse in Dublin’s Temple Bar area for a family 60th birthday celebration. They comfortably accommodated 24 of us in the upstairs restaurant area. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals (including vegan and gluten-free dishes), which were all delivered very efficiently, with no-one kept waiting. We booked well in advance – just as well because despite it being a rainy November Saturday night, the bar and restaurant were very busy all night. The live music was excellent, and so dancing & singing after (and during!) the meal were inevitable. The Old Storehouse atmosphere was consistently friendly all night. A final word for the restaurant and bar staff – incredibly hard-working & efficient and very friendly and welcoming despite a few mishaps in our party. Thoroughly recommended, and we will definitely return there if and when we get back to Dublin.

Terrible service. Waitress didn’t bother to pour the wine, she just threw the bottle on the table. Gave us the wrong wine and didn’t even appologize. Food was bland and tasteless, all in all a very dissappointing experience. Go somewhere else.

We ate here as a family group with my 88 year old mother. On arrival they quickly cleared a table for us given my mother's limited mobility walking with a stick. Waitress service was prompt. Drinks arrived before the meal and food was quickly served and was piping hot. The bar serves Irish classics like cottage pie, beef stew and bangers and mash. We had the West of Ireland fish chowder served with soda bread which was excellent, and the bangers & mash were equally tasty. Continuous live music from I''m guessing a Portuguese guitar player - a blend of pop classics from the past 40 years. Excellent performance but if one thing disappointed I'd have hoped for a few more Irish ballads. Our server Monika was very attentive and I'd certainly return for the food, atmosphere and of course local Guinness.

Arrived at 8:40 p.m., waited 10 for someone to deign to give us a smile and a word. Once seated at the table we are told that the kitchen closes in 5 minutes so we have to choose quickly with the waitress in a hurry to take our side! Instead of telling us directly that the kitchen was going to close before we sat down at the table… Once the dishes were chosen, a dish that we had not ordered arrived, of course, nothing else could be served to me!! The waitress dared to tell us that we had indicated the wrong dish! So I didn't eat and I was able to watch my friend eat her Caesar salad for €21.90. In addition, we asked for water which never came... we had to get up to ask for water and we were served only one glass as if I didn't hesitate!!!!! A real disaster and I'm still hungry!

I’ve been to the Old Store House a couple of times but hadn’t been in a while. I dropped in this week for a late lunch while walking from Dublin 2 to Dublin 1 as the pub is well placed for crossing the Liffey! I ordered the burger and it was delicious- beefy and juicy. Also, as usual, the waiter was friendly. Looking forward to the next time I get an opportunity to visit.
