We availed of the Missed Moments package which included a night stay in the Mayson and a set menu dinner in Ryleigh’s. The food was phenomenal as shown in photos. Our waiter Mario was so attentive and friendly, and gave great advice on food, wine and cocktail choices.

Great place, fantastic views and decor, very tasty food and immaculate service. Food taste was a solid 9/10. Price wise I would say 7/10 simply because you are not getting much food for the price you pay. One downside is the steak was a little cold. Cannot comment on drinks as we did not have any but the starters and desserts were fantastic. The service definitely made the experience much better, all thanks for Joe (give him a well deserved raise or bonus, he was not only friendly but he also gave brilliant recommendations). One problem I feel needs drastic improvement is having someone answer the phones. I tried calling to let them know we were running late and we were just placed on hold for 30 minutes where the call then just dropped. Would visit again.

Hi Navigate32446575739 Thank you for sharing your review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share all of your feedback. Although we are delighted your food taste was a 9/10 I am very sorry the temperature of your steak was a little cold, This is not in line with our usually standards so I am very sorry we have fallen short on this occasion. Should any such feedback be raised with your server we would always be most happy to immediately address this for you. I would like to apologize also that you could not reach us by phone, unfortunately at certain times we experience extremely large volumes of calls with Guests wishing to make or amend reservations so there can be wait times on the phone. We do mentione our grace period for anyone who may be running late at the time of booking and the grace period will always be honored. Thank you for visiting, we hope to welcome you back very soon ❤️ Warm regards Ryleighs Team

My partner and I had an amazing experience. The setting is intimate, private and cosy, with most tables having their own large booth with a nice rooftop view over the dock lands. We felt very welcomed by the staff. The gentleman that recieved us at the door was very warm and accommodating. Our waiter, Stephen, was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Stephen asked what was the occasion. We explained it was our first real night out since the pandemic. After our mains, he delivered a complimentary “happy anniversary” ice cream dish. It was such a thoughtful thing for them to do and we really loved it. The food was fantastic. I had the venison and my partner had the striploin. Both cuts were of very high quality and were cooked perfectly. Keep in mind if you order the steak, it doesn’t come with anything else and you have to order your own side and sauce, which have a separate cost. The venison was lovely but I wish the portion was larger. The dessert we had was phenomenal. We especially recommend the the toffee pudding (not on the online menu). The drinks (that we ordered) were ok. We ordered the Bon Bon cocktail. It arrived very quickly but still at room temperature which was a little strange/suspicious. They have an extensive wine list but maybe at the expense of everything else. Another minor complain we have is finding the place. We were a little confused looking for the statehouse, not seeing any sign or directions. We ended up asking the separate restaurant on the ground floor. Some signage would be useful. Aside from the very minor complaints about the drinks and directions, our evening was very enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended for special and intimate occasions!

Incredibly disappointed with this restaurant. There was a party of 8, we requested a window seat nearly a week in advance which we didn't get, even though tables were available on arrival. Only 4 cocktails to choose from on the menu. We all agreed the starters were amazing! Fully intended in getting the steak; however, the steak displayed to us pre-order was an achromatic grey which was off putting. Dessert was ok and the wine was actually amazing 👌 but again not a massive selection. Finally the bill arrived with a 12.5% gratuity (generally not an issue). I've worked in hospitality most of my life and was amused at how quickly the maitre'd dropped the bill and said gratuity added and disappeared. I laughed to myself as it was not stated on the website, the email you receive pre arrival 'Know before you go', nor did it appear on the menu - all above was expressed to the maitre'd and waitress before we left. Word of advice; clearly state the gratuity, present your best looking steak cuts on a more healthier decorative platter (wooden rather than a clinical looking dish). It's all about selling not adding additional hidden costs. Views are amazing but I'd happily pay more in a basement for quality food and atmosphere.

Hi Niall, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Its good to see that you enjoyed the majority of your experience. I am sorry you didn't get a table next to the window. All our booths in this area can only accommodate 6 people therefore you were seated in large oval window facing booth which could accommodate a party of 8 as this was the best we had to offer you. We try to accommodate all special requests particularly when it comes to window preferences as this is very popular. We also discussed the issue of service charge on the night, something you raised after you paid the bill. I was in full agreement with you regarding the lack of information regarding the service charge and offered you and your colleagues a full refund on the night which you declined. Since then we have updated all our menus, website & booking site so that diners are fully informed of the 12.5% service charge for groups. We also offered a round of drinks complimentary as a small gesture from the team which was declined. Lastly thank you for the feedback on the steaks. This is something we can look into and address asap. I am sorry you found the presentation off putting and i will be sure to improve this for the future. I hope next time you visit you will see an improvement and we better meet your expectations. Feel free to reach out to me personally next time you want to book in with us - michael@themayson.ie Kind Regards, Michael

We went to the rooftop restaurant for lunch and found it to be very underwhelming. The food is extremely pricey but the quality was below average. The service was quite unprofessional. We waited for 40 minutes for our food, the fries were rock hard (overcooked), they put us at a table that was too small for our party size even though we had pre-booked. We ran out of water and were not offered more. Never again! Pity as it's right beside our office.

Location fabulous but the service is the worst I’ve experienced in a long time. The manager was even super stressed. We waited an hour and ten minutes for cold dried up eggs and toast that was so hard. Such a shame. Service and Food needs to be reconsidered.

Meal was nice, the place itself is lovely, but our server left us with a bad taste. First of all, my friend asked about the size of one of the salads on the menu - as in how big was it. The waitress basically shrugged her shoulders & said she didn't know. "It's hard to say..." Then my friend asked for sparkling water. Waitress "large or small?" "Large" my friend said. I asked for tap water. The waitress then brought over one of the complimentary bottles of sparkling water (by mistake) instead of the still water. She took it away when she realised her error. Point is, they serve complimentary still AND sparkling water, but she never mentioned this and made us pay for a Pellegrino instead. A small thing perhaps, but not really the way things should work. The food was fine, in keeping with all the Press Up Group restaurants. I won't be rushing back.

Recently dined here before 3 arena event.Menu is limited, overpriced and quality is very average. Our server continually got our drink order wrong and apologised by offering a glass of prosecco between the six of us, we should have asked for six straws. We also had the pleasure of a service charge on the bill. Only positive is 6th floor restuarant has a nice view, will not return

First visit and unlikely to return. The sommelier was unable to offer the selected wine. We ordered alternatives and we were informed she would need to check. The meals were lack lustre and the manager did check with us and apologised that the scallops were rubbery etc. The bill was amended to reflect this. However, as this was a treat for friends this party was embarrassed having to draw their attention to starter and mains in front of guests. The service was very good, staff very friendly however given the prices, the quality of food does not reflect this. Disappointing.

My wife and I booked Ryleighs roof top restaurant for a birthday dinner before going on to a show at 3 Arena later. We arrived 20 mins early for our 6pm dinner booking. On arrival we were offered a table in the corner with no view. We asked for a table with a view and were advised this would be available shortly. We had pre dinner drinks then went to a table with a view about 6pm as booked. It took an age for anybody to take our order and we had to summon a waiter in order to do that. Order placed, drinks arrived and after 20 mins the starters came. The food was very good however this is all we had for dinner as by 7.15 the main courses had not appeared. We had earlier explained to the waiter that we were going to a show hence we booked a 6pm dinner to give loads of time for a relaxed meal. Eventually we gave up and left. On leaving the waiter was rather surly but got the manager for us who agreed that we would not be required to pay for what we had up to that point. Not a great experience, pretty poor attitude from staff. Definitely one to avoid if you want good service. Very disappointing experience. Several other guests were commenting similarly about the exceptionally slow service. This was on a Thursday night so not even a weekend.

Had brunch with a friend and was greeted by the lovely host/manager and a woman who I didn’t get her name. I was asked if I wanted water before giving me a bottle of still water which I later found when we got the bill that it was five euro?? Once I ordered I specified with the female server that I wanted a plain burger. A male server came down with the burger with bacon on it and I told him I asked for it plain. He came back two seconds later with a burger without bacon on it and snidely said ‘that was an easy fix’. I don’t expect to be spoken to like that and felt his manner could’ve been better considering the price of the food.

We struggled to get a booking here for the weekend as it was so busy (so book early to avoid the same) but managed to get a late thurs evening slot in the end which was lucky! The setting is all very fancy and the background music quite modern and hipster and the view was nice but nothing overly amazing compared to what we were expecting. The food was great! We had the strip loin and fillet steak with shared greens, chips and pepper sauce and this was plenty for the 2 of us. We asked for both steaks medium rare but the striploin was more medium and the fillet more on the rare side (luckily we’re not that fussy and the cuts were really tasty anyway). The fillet was divine with the sauce and the sides and the whole thing was well seasoned and garnished with cooked onions on the side. We had the lemon tart for dessert to share which would have been delightful had it not tasted like it had been served up with the same spatula as the onions unfortunately. The place is fairly pricey if you add in drinks and everyone has their own sides etc but a nice treat with good steak if that’s what you’re after. I think you would need to dress smartly here too as it if quite a formal vibe but not too pretentious.

Lovely new restaurant at the top of the Mayson Hotel. We got a table with a window view and the service was very quick and efficient. We tried the vegetarian option and some sides and they were all well presented and tasted amazing. We also spoke to the manager Michael, who was very pleasant and professional! The experience was topped off with a drink in the bottle boy pub downstairs! We will be back :)

I wish this was better however we arrived for my husband’s birthday dinner 20 mins early and made our way up in the lift to 6th floor….. only to be told our table was not ready and was told to go all the way back down and maybe get a drink whilst waiting in the bar….. Really unsure why we had to go back down when there is a bar in the restaurant with bar stools around it. I would probably have not gone back up however we had high expectations of the restaurant. I would say the food was ok with the prawn starter more like prawn popcorn from a freezer. They were tiny and not crispy. Prawn and chorizo sausage skewers for the top of our fillet steaks was also tiny. I was expecting maybe a couple of nice king prawns instead of 5 tiny ones and these felt over cooked due to their size. Steak was cooked perfectly! Service felt really regimental … not organic or relaxed. The restaurant itself is stylish and well set out. Would definitely not say it’s a romantic restaurant. It was noisy. The highlight was the view we had across the Liffey. Unfortunately I will not recommend or return and this is purely down to the service we received. Really disappointed. I have attached photos as per review.

Lovely building. Went here for breakfast with friends. The fry looked the part but was very poor. Baked beans in a tangy chopped tomato, forgot our eggs, came out hard when we asked for soft, toast floppy not even toasted, rubbery black and white pudding. We couldn’t eat it. For 16 euro we expected more. Had to ask twice for our order to be taken even though there was plenty of staff with the restaurant 1/3 full. The waiter was very nice and mannerly and offered 15% discount when we explained. This place has real potential and the other breakfast items seemed good. Just really let down with the fry.
