I'm very happy to recommend Glás for an enjoyable evening out with friends. The service, the food and the wine were incredible.
We had a couples evening out and 3 of the 4 would normally be meat eaters. Everyone enjoyed their meal and what was particularly enjoyable was the explanation of the different ingredients and how the dish was served, by each waiter.
We had the Cauliflower and Goats cheese for starters (2 separate dishes). Next came the mushroom and artichokes (again, 2 separate dishes) for main course, all washed down by a lovely bottle of Montepulciano d'Abrurrzo.
Our waitress's could not have been more informative, or helpful and the excitement each had at explaining the dishes, was infectious. Committed meat eaters, maybe not (it is vegetarian after all). Everyone else, if you want a special evening out in town that's sensibly priced, you should not be disappointed here.

I visited with Dublin my partner for her birthday and we were both really excited to visit Glas on the Friday evening. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are knowledgeable and made time to talk about the food despite being rushed off their feet.
The food is incredible! I chose the salt baked turnip for starter. When the dish arrived the first thing that hit me was the aromas emitting from the plate, notably from the peated barley risotto, which was devine.
For main course I had the barbecued celeriac, which was beautifully presented as was the starter. The combination of flavours blew my mind, the chestnut cream I couldn’t get enough of.
I absolutely love cauliflower, that said I wasn’t sure about the cauliflower churros. However, my other half isn’t a fan of cauli and I didn’t feel like sharing my dessert so was persuaded to choose them. No regrets, they were ridiculously delicious as was the sea buckthorn posset that they are paired with.
We enjoyed a few cocktails with our meal which were also incredible.
Our bill was around €180 which was very good value for the quality of the food, drink and service.
If you’re thinking about visiting, just go! You will not be disappointed.
I’m a chef and have worked in kitchens with aspirations of achieving a Michelin star… how this place doesn’t have one I don’t know. The team of chefs here are absolute geniuses. Well done guys. And thanks for the recipes you kindly shared with me.

Dinner here was fantastic, none of us are vegetarian but what was served was next level vegetarian food. Excellent value at 52 euro for 3 courses. While service was a bit slow at times, the provision of excellent cocktails and a good atmosphere made up for it. Would definitely recommend and will return.

We had been looking forward to this lunch but sadly the food was disappointing. Our starters were just ok, although under seasoned and the prancing was bland. The patron peppers and asparagus were quite nice but the mains were awful. The food was visually beige, we had a haloumi dish and struggled to identify any haloumi or flavour, the squash pancakes were burnt to a crisp and the polenta fries looked like cardboard and had a overly grainy consistency. We also had a side of chard mixed with various other ingredients which lacked in any flavour. The waiting staff didn't ask if we enjoyed our mains at any point, although it would have been apparent as most food wasn't eaten. A member of staff did ask when he brought our bill, and deducted the pancakes from it. We left and had cheese and pudding elsewhere.

Nice looking restaurant with nice lighting.
Seating poor, table seats too high for table. Unsatisfactory portion sizes. Vegetarian wine €44 a bottle.
Complimentary Proseccos as birthday treats may as well have been charged for and complimentary tiny desert with candle falling out of the desert glass was bland.
€60 deposit to secure a table + charge for 3 courses for 3 x adults €151: Total €211.00. Food was only nice enough to have been charged half that price.
Overall, very disappointing for an over hyped restaurant, outrageously overpriced. I was embarrassed for my vegetarian guests.

This restaurant once held a Michelin star, and while the ambiance and service were very pleasant, the food itself was a major disappointment. The menu was short but sufficient; however, everything was fried and soaked in burnt oil. The dishes lacked seasoning, texture, and the components I would expect from a high-quality restaurant.
My starter tasted burnt and bland . For the main course, I had pancakes, but they were more like patties—greasy, poorly drained, and heavy with oil. The pesto tasted store-bought, and the dips were bland too. The polenta fries were uninspiring and lacked seasoning. Best dish I found was saffron arancini.
The plating was mediocre and, again, disappointing. Prices were reasonable, but I wouldn’t return.

I booked this restaurant tonight as my mum was visiting from Cork and I had really good meals a few times.
All was going great until dessert. The food was good, the service was good .Then the customers beside us, who arrived when we were finished our starters, were served our desserts. Then someone tried to serve us desserts which we didn't order.
I told the girl that they weren't ours and that I thought that the other people were served ours or they had forgotten ours. She replied "absolutely not, there is just a delay,".
Later on, the customer beside us said "I think we might have eaten your desserts". We joked about it a little.
That same waitress. How to describe her, she was the girl who had served us the Amuse-bouche. Dark hair and glasses, proceeded to give me "looks" for the night. My mum said it to me. It was more than once or twice and even as we were leaving .
My mum's creme brulee was like soup and she did mention it to another waitress.
We got the bill and there was no apology for the inconvenience of waiting 50 mins for dessert, being lied to rather than admitting the mistake, having a waitress who had such a terrible attitude. The cost of one dessert was taken off them bill.
I apologised to the girl who brought the bill. Normally I tip very well but because I was charged for one dessert, had been lied to and had to tolerate the "looks", I didnt leave any tip.
I felt bad to the other girls who served us. They absolutely deserved something but the experience just wasn't good because of one. rude girl..
That one girl needs to learn that you do not have an attitude with a customer. You absolutely do not lie or treat them like dirt for the restaurant's mistakes and who didn't cause the issue..I for one will not tolerate such lack of professionalism.
It's a shame because it's a gem of a restaurant.

We booked an early dinner in Glas, looking for an exceptional vegan and vegetarian meal...The staff was very kind and helpful. However, the food was a bit dissapointing. While glazed aubergine with black risoto was great, the other meal - roast shiitake mushrooms - was too salty. Also the desserts left us half satisfied..the chocolate mousse was good, but the plum torte was way too sweet. Overall, a bit too expensive for very small portions of average quality.

I would highly recommend Glas restaurant for any occasion. I brought my mam who is a coeliac for her birthday on Thursday. We had the early bird. It was such a fantastic experience. The staff were so friendly and explained all the dishes as we are not use to eating vegan/vegetarian food. The staff spoilt my mam, we got complimentary glasses of prosecco and a little dessert with a candle in it. My mam felt very special, which was so lovely. The food was gorgeous, every dish was full of flavour. We can't wait to go back. The restaurant itself is beautiful too.

The food was good but we felt that it was rushed. I tried asking for 5 extra minutes to look at mains menu and wasn't given such opportunity as we were told we are overthinking this and ended up asking for recommendations. We were there for an occasion and it felt a bit disingenuous that we were asked to basically pay the bill as another guests are coming after an hour of ordering. It felt like it's either you order something or get out attitude. Given the fact that it's not exactly a cheap place to dine, attention to customer service should be of a higher standard where customers are valued more than just people who pay.

For the final night of a 3 week trip, we wanted to have a wonderful meal in a beautiful restaurant. We just couldn’t do another pub dinner after 5 days on the West Coast of Ireland.
Glas was recommended to us by the Westbury Hotel concierge. It was everything we had hoped for.
We started with blood orange margaritas and choose different dishes from the prix-fixe menu so we could share.
The cauliflower with truffle was so divine that I ordered it again as my desert!
The service was stellar and I enjoyed listening to the waiters’ descriptions of the dishes.
If I had another night in Dublin, I would have eaten here again.
A true treat for vegans!

We are neither vegetarians, vegans or gluten intolerant, but we do love really good food. Glas serves up delicious food, beautifully presented, in a warm and friendly environment. We loved everything about our dinner there. If we lived in Dublin (rather than in the US) we would eat there every week. It will be a must stop on our next trip to Dublin.

This was a superb night out. We had the seven course tasting menu. I have zero idea what I ate, because I couldn't hear the wait staff due to reverb on my hearing aids:), but, in truth, it didn't matter. It was amazing food. Several things stand out...there was this tomato, courgette, chile frozen palette cleanser-y thing which was magnificent. Tasted unlike anything I've ever had and well and truly cleared my sinuses. Would eat that one again in a heartbeat. One dish had this black walnut cracker which was mangificent. Then there was the main main which involved a variety of root-base croquett-y things. All great. The only thing that didn't entirely work was the dessert...or, rather, it mostly worked but included a cake bit that was quite dry. Otherwise, I loved everything. Its a tasting menu, so obviously small portions; however, they add up and you are well and truly full at the end. Drinks good too - i had this cucumber mocktail which I want to recreate at home - and the bartender was a hoot. Not cheap and not fast. But well worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommend.

My husband and I went to Glas for our wedding anniversary and were so impressed! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff very welcoming and the food was utterly amazing. One of the best meals I have ever had and each course was bought to us with a full explanation of what we were about to eat.
As vegetarians we were delighted to find this gem of a restaurant and will definitely go again next time we're in Dublin.

Having browsed the menu i was very excited about eating in this restaurant. On walking in we were welcomed amd shown to our table. The decor is really earthy and beautiful so it felt a lovely space to relax and dine in. However the food was disappointing for the price, The portions were also small so we needed three courses to feel satisfied. Overall we were underwhelmed by the flavours which is an important aspect of enjoying vegetarian food. Sorry won't recommend or come back.
