We had an excellent experience at Mister S. The kitchen uses a wood fired grill which gives the food amazing flavour and is a unique dining experience in the city. We had dinner for four and the menu really works for sharing plates so you can sample a selection of dishes! When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff who promptly brought us to our table and took the time to explain the menu to us. While waiting for the starters to arrive a plate of beef rendamg spring rolls were delivered to the table complements of the chef. Perfectly crispy and the beef was melt in your mouth... A really nice touch and absolutely delicious ! This was a a sign of things to come. We went with romesco chicken and Gambas to start which were both excellent. Next up was the beef short rib, tomahawk pork and we ordered Ray (fish) to try something different. Everything was top class, in particular the meat dishes which had a beautiful smokey flavour from the wood fired grill. The short rib was the highlight across the table - a really generous portion which could be removed from the bone with a fork...! The sides were also delish, in particular the miso roasties. We finished with elderflour sponge cake with strawberries - sounds unusual but really hit the spot after the main show as was light and refreshing but still nicely bold. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for high quality food in Dublin and a reasonable price!

Visited Mister S on Wednesday evening and there was a good crowd with great atmosphere where a group can chat while enjoying delicious food and friendly staff. We had a mix of the starters, mains and sides and there was no complaints from anyone. Mains (Cod, Ribs, Pork and Steak for 2) were presented with good portion and very tastefully seasoned. Capped the night off with an incredible tart. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Having meant to try Mister S for a while, my boyfriend and I dined here earlier this month and all I can say was why did we wait so long! We both agreed this is one, if not the nicest meal we have enjoyed in a long time. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, it feels tucked away and intimate. The service is impeccable, our waiter Savi was warm, knowledgeable and so accommodating. And as for the food, wow! I don't thin it possible to pick wrong on this menu. We shared the Smoked Trout and Gambas to start. Then we tried the garlic mushrooms - yum! For main we shared the cote de boeuf with carrots and roasties as sides - Unbelievably good. For dessert we tried the salted caramel tart - unique! I also enjoyed a couple of glasses of the Gruner Veltliner which was so good, I took a note of the bottle. Everything we tried was delicious. Compared to other restaurants in Dublin, the value for money in line with the quality of food and service is excellent. I can't recommend this place enough! I will definitely be back and it is such a delight to have somewhere like Mister S that delivers good food, service and atmosphere at an superior level without being stuffy and formal.

Visited Mister S on my short trip to Dublin. The food and service were exceptional. My friend and I ordered two small plates to share for our starters, all the sides and beef rib and cod for the mains. The food was not over smoked and you could taste that the Chefs cooked with so much love, passion and creativity. The food is all sourced from producers locally and in Ireland which made this even more special. The waitresses were very attentive, knowlegable and friendly. The food was very good value for money for the quality of produce used. If you come to Dublin this is a must!

Due to Covid 19, we ordered the dinner for collection. I had the spring rolls to start, they tasted absolutely unbelievable, The sauce on the gambas gave the dish so much flavour. I was a small bit worried that the mains would not travel that well for delivery but I was so wrong. By the time I had returned home (20 min drive) they were still hot and were even well presented. The Short rib was delicious and melted in my mouth. The sides were also cooked to perfection, the cauliflower cheese and potatoes went down very well. The baked cookie dough finished the meal perfectly. Will definitely be doing my best to get an order in for next week, €22 per person is incredible value!

Last night in Dublin, we wanted to go out with a bang and this place didn’t disappoint! Cool vibe and very friendly staff. We had a steak to share at €49 with a Bernaise sauce along with a couple of sides, green veg and potatoes with a dip. The quality beef cooked medium rare and presented in big fat juicy slices tasted as good as it looked. The flame cooked taste was unmistakable, one of those meals you need to eat slowly to truly savour it. We had a desert each, it was nice but ultimately unnecessary. The only criticism I would raise was at the point of paying you’re presented with a large digital card machine asking you what level of tip you want to offer 10%, 15% or 20%? I chose none not for any other reason than I don’t personally add tips or pay optional service charges but it makes you feel awkward and having to sheepishly tell the waitress that it’s just personal choice and by no means a reflection on the level of service or the quality of the meal. Overall I highly highly recommend this restaurant, the food and service is superb and you won’t be disappointed. Mains, sides, desserts, 1 beer & 4 glasses of wine came to approximately €130. We will come back next time in Dublin - Thankyou Mr S. 5 stars.

Seriously I would go just for the the roasties they are hands down one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Crispy and juicy so so tasty. Everything on the menu was Devine I’m not a pork fan so I ordered the beef and my husband ordered the pork when it came out I had to try a little bit just to see it was so good I gave him the beef and took the pork. The beef was beautiful as well so he didn’t mind. Staff were attentive without being in humour face. I loved the simple style and menu. It’s simple done right. I will definitely be back especially for the roasties.

I have been here twice (once with friends and once with family) and both times we’ve all had an amazing experience. I’m pescatarian and find there’s great options for me here. My favourite starter are the gambas; they’re cooked to perfection and come with the ideal amount of sauce and a delicious flatbread to soak it up underneath. The others I have been with got the spring rolls to start and said they were beautiful. I also really enjoyed cauliflower starter which is a great veggie option! The brill to share is a winner for main course and such a generous portion for two. I really enjoyed the vegetarian main of butternut squash and goats cheese tartlet the first time I was here too. The miso potatoes are beautiful and very addictive so would recommend getting some of these to share! The service in here was perfect, the staff are really attentive, know the menu/products and are pleasant but without being over bearing which can sometimes happen! Will definitely be back again for more and to get to try everything on the menu.

Amazing in all aspects! Great service, atmosphere and really high quality of food. We had the smoked beef short rib as well as the marinated pork and the fish dish. They were well prepared, beautifully presented, interesting and of adequate portion. Similar comments would definitely go for the desserts. (Pavlova and Pudding) Can’t wait to go back!!!

Without doubt my recent meal in Mister S was the best dining experience I have had in Dublin in a long time! The staff are incredibly friendly and offer advice and insight into the short but perfectly formed menu. Anna & Siva (hope that’s correct) looked after our table of 2 perfectly. We opted for the gambas and spring rolls to start and the Beef rib and the pork for mains along with a couple of sides (don’t miss the roast potatoes) and without exception each dish was cooked and presented perfectly. Simply delicious. It’s a place you’ll want to keep going back to so you can try everything on the menu. Kudos guys - a fantastic addition to the Dublin dining scene!

This is a real gem of a restaurant in a great part of town if you’re out for the night. Beef short rib is outrageous but everything on the menu is worth trying. Waiting staff are friendly and attentive. Can’t fault it. Will be back soon.

Absolutely fantastic time, service was friendly and quick. As a small group, we were also given some complimentary other starters to try (always nice in my book) and then mains were absolutely delicious. I want to make a note that the quality of the food far surpasses my expectations, with much more of a high-end quality to all dishes served. We'll be back, and I'll be recommending to all who ask. Loved it!

3 of us had dinner on Saturday 22nd Feb 2020 in this recent new addition to Camden Street. The food was phenomenal. We shared the spring rolls and gambas to start which were absolutely delicious and shared the cote du boeuf and cod for main course. The cote du boeuf is by far the best I've had in Dublin. The restaurant has lots of space (a very welcome change!), the food was really fabulous and very reasonably priced, the wine selection is great and the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. There was what looked to be a really lovely slightly separate section which would be perfect for bigger parties if you had an occasion to celebrate.

Very cool restaurant with friendly service. They cook all of their food over a wood fire which is unique in Dublin. It's hard to believe the value when compared with other restaurants and when considering their supplier list. Highlights include the pork tomahawk steak, incredibly crispy roast potatoes and the prawns with flatbread. Again great value when compared with other restaurants in Dublin. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

I had the pleasure of dining at Mister S recently. I had thoroughly enjoyed an “at home box” during covid restrictions and was keen to visit in person - I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat, the booths felt private but we could enjoy the buzz of the restaurant floor also. The food was exceptional - each course left us wanting more, we actually ordered an extra desert after tasting the first!! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, our waitress guided us through the menu and was more than patient as we kept drifting back to catch ups and chats which delayed us ordering. We were the last the leave but at no stage left under pressure to wrap up. I have recommended mister S to all my friends and family, and I can’t wait to come back!
