I've had a number of visits to this new restaurant that in a previous life was full of lager drinking, football watching, liverpool/unred shirt wearing individuals. Now it is a top notch gastro type pub where you can actually dress up to dine in. The food is great and service too but what i like most is the open non... More

Ok, so most people like to go shopping in Dublin but we had the experience of going Chopping! The Chophouse has a great atmosphere which is alive and warm and there's a real buzz about the place. Once we were seated a basket of warm crunchy artizan bread was placed on our table. Delicious! If you like steak - which... More

You should have a reservation here. We did not but the management said to us "If you care to have a beer at the bar we will fit you in" and they did. We had an excellent meal and excellent service! The manager stop by during the meal to ensure all was going well and check with us again at... More

Had a great meal here. The food was excellent, the service was good, the atmosphere just the right mixture of casual but classy. The owner made sure we were happy with everything.

Early lunchtime, seemed as though staff were running late for their shift. Left sitting for ages before order was taken. Food was nice but portions small. It's pricey too. Feel this place is overrated. Don't think I'll be going back any time soon...

The food is excellent. Let me rephrase that: The food is extremely excellent. Me and my wife went to the chophouse this evening. I had some absolutely delicious scallops, while my wife ordered Dublin Bay Prawns (which turned out to be .. We think it was crayfish). The starters were marvelous. Maybe a bit of a size difference, as the... More

We are just back from dining in the Chophouse on Shelbourne road, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. We were left waiting for a table for 40 minutes, but as we hadn't made a reservation this didn't bother us too much, and the wine we had was nice. However, when we... More
