A midweek dinner for 3 of us the maitre d was very polite and friendly and we did not feel under any pressure to order despite our booking for 7.30pm and it being a very busy restaurant. I had hake on a risotto base and it was cooked to perfection. Getting a 5 star rating from me is hard but this establishment comes so close. I am eating there again which is a good sign in March and if the fish lives up to its high standards then a 5 it is ps wine selection as advised by the waiter was spot on.

On what has been a fairly restricted break in Dublin due to the COVID rules we had a fantastic experience in The Chophouse. Whilst following all guidelines we felt at ease and where welcomed by fantastic and friendly staff.
Dining with my wife and 2 children, we where made feel at home. The staff where attentive and friendly and the owner Joe was the perfect host.
I had the goats cheese starter and it was fantastic. Perfectly presented and complemented with great flavours.
For main course myself and my wife shared the Porterhouse which was presented and cooked to perfection! Served with a trio of sauces, sides and onion rings which where delicious! Both children went for the kids steak and chips and again this was served sliced and cooked to taste.
Unfortunately there was no room left for dessert which I would have loved to have tried but we couldn’t resist and Irish and Baileys coffee to finish off a great meal.
I will definitely make The Chop House our first port of call the next time we visit Dublin. Thank you for a great experience. William Noble (Rubys Bars).

After a shaky start of not having a table ready for us to sit at as previous customers had only just left, it turned out to be a lovely evening. The meals were very well cooked and presented . There was a decent choice in each course too. There was a good time allowed between courses and the staff were very attentive, polite and courteous. The only downside was we had to sit on an outside location due to the Covid regulations and the tables were quite close to one another.

We hadn't booked as we were opting for an early dinner on a Thursday evening. Judging by how quickly the restaurant filled up I'd recommend you do. Our starters were excellent, the beetroot salad sharp and tangy, the prawns fresh plump and juicy and the the liver parfait very tasty. The bread deserves a special mention of its own especially the seeded, nutty flavoured wheaten. We had the shared rib eye which was mouth wateringly tender with delicious sides and an excellent onion marmalade. The meal was rounded off with Irish coffees. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning

Excellent service and beyond our expectations when it comes to good eating. Our meet has to have been one of the best meats we have had. Joseph thank you for your warm and welcoming attitude. You are very special and make your guest feel at home.
We give you 10 all around.
Best food anything on the menu was delicious and the salty caramel ice cream takes the price.

Food was great as always but tables barely 1 m apart, staff not wearing masks & became very crowded. I felt uncomfortable and worried so finished & left as quickly as we could. I was very disappointed at the lack of safety measures.

During our ride from the airport to our hotel, Chop House was highly recommended to us by our driver— these are the kind of recommendations we don’t take lightly. We were two couples on the first night of an Ireland vacation. Our hosts and server, Connor, were engaging and highly competent. The dishes we chose were fish and chips; wagyu burger with fries; 10 oz ribeye; and 8 oz steak. All were cooked to perfection. Two of us shared a specialty dessert, which was properly decadent. For a truly special meal, you won’t be disappointed.

We booked our baby daughters Christening meal for our immediate family in The Chophouse. Prior to the meal I met with Joe who manages it to discuss what I wanted on the menu as well as the day I had planned. He was amazing to deal with from start to finish - so professional. An asset to The Chophouse!
The food on the day was brilliant; so tasty and the portions were great. Both of our families had a brilliant day. Thank you Joe & team. We will be back!

We dined here as a small work colleague reunion after 4.5 months without seeing each other. Our office is in nearby GCD so this restaurant had been recommended . From the moment we stepped in the service from the waiting staff was top class. It had a very relaxed pub feel (even with a tv and football on silent). I really liked that atmosphere . It was very busy and noisy by the time we were leaving but that felt comforting in these times. We had the fish board starter special and we all had steaks. We had a range of desserts each . Everything was beautiful . My only complaint was that the steak was a little tooth and I had to leave some behind on the plate as I have up trying to carve my way through it . Also the potato croquette was quite small it should come up two . Finally dessert portions were a little small but beautiful. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Got a take away steak which was great. Chips were really good. Sauce and steak good. Happy to see they have expanded their collection menu. Only thing is that I wish I could specify how I want my steak cooked when i click and collect but that is a minor detail.

Whilst the food was very nice we found the welcome and service somewhat lacking. On arrival it was a pretty lukewarm welcome, wine arrived before our pre dinner drinks and dinner plates were left for a good while after eating , we staked them ourselves. Food was lovely but for the price I’d expect more from the ambiance.

With the new normal, this restaurant has it down to a tee. The staff were very welcoming and professional. The food was fabulous. We started with the tomatoes soup, mozzarella salad and shrimp starter. All were excellent. For mains we had the ribeye, hake and chicken risotto were all fabulous, cooked to perfection. The lime cheesecake was ok. Great lunch. Can't wait to return. So well run.

We arrived toward the end of service and the chef very kindly fulfilled our special requests. I was surprised the chef knew the expression "Pittsburgh Rare" and the execution was excellent. I savoured each mouthful of the perfectly caramelised sear and the buttery rare interior. We both thought all of our meal was exceptional. Thoughtful service rounded out the experience. I would not consider visiting Dublin without coming back to The Chophouse.

During one of my regular business trips to Ireland invited 4 colleagues for dinner. One of them recommended this restaurant and it was definitely a great recommendation. Food was really good, tasty, fresh, well prepared, delivered within a reasonable time. We had different steaks, and one of my colleagues a salmon and everything was simply perfect. Nice wine too. Excellent value for money. Not cheap what you get very good food for what you pay. Special mention to the staff. Friendly and attentive. Literally 1 minute after they delivered to food to the table, one of my colleagues received an urgent business call, he had to step out and was on the phone for about 20 mins. The staff had the courtesy to take the plate back to the kitchen and keep it warm. When he was back they realized that his steak was too dry to they prepared a new one for him, which was not charged to us. This is a great example of good service, attention to detail and customer oriented attitude. No doubt that will visit this restaurant again.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Chop House. The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our very friendly waiter gave us plenty of recommendations, and every last one of them was incredibly tasty.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!
