Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I suppose we visit Dublin at least once or twice a year but in all the times we have come we never ate here or noticed the place as we always walked the other side of the road for some reason, but some how today...we noticed it and stopped to look at the menu, another guy was standing there too and commented ‘yeah it’s a good place for food’. On entering we were shown to a table straight away and were given menus, the staff were very attentive with ordering drinks and food. There was only two of us and we found the menu very plentiful with choices for all tastes. We both ordered the same thing, fish and chips. We found the presentation was very nice, couldn’t fault the food in any way, warm and tasty and was enough to full our bellies. Found service to be very good and staff were very warm and friendly. We found the place had a steady flow of people coming and going been after 1pm in the day. We will definitely be back again on our next visit and would recommend to others.More

Myself and a friend was up for a weekend, decided to go to flannagans on O'connor Street, what a disaster. We sat outside as my friend smokes, asked for Ash tray and was told no smoking, thought that's why these primesses had outside dinning, how...ever not a big problem. We had to pay up front as we were sitting out front even though they had a guy at entrances, still not a problem but the meal arrived, mine was cold and got it sent back, my friend said hers was OK even though hers potatoes were cold she had chips so she didn't mind. We both had different chichen dishes, my dinner came out again shortly after being cremated in the microwave, it was so dry I could hardly cut through the chichen and so tasteless, one of the managers came over to see if all was OK and I said no. She apologed and said she would get a fresh one cooked, it came out again way overdone and to be honest only it was payed for before we recived it, i would have refused to pay for should all I can say is it . After paying almost €60 for two main courses and two pints . How do these restaurants get away with serving rubbish at high prices. Never again is all I can say.More

Tasteless food. Chips awful. Servers were nice and decor nice. Music way too loud. Wouldn't bother sorry. Nothing tastes fresh.

The service in the restaurant was abysmal. We had to flag waitresses down every time (with the exception of once) to get served. One waitress was even a bit of a smart alec when we called her over. I had the Irish stew, which was...watery and not very flavourful. My friends had other dishes which they described as mediocre. With the abundance of pubs in Dublin, I would strike this one off your list. It’s off mine, for sure.More

Really excellent food, I ordered the Salmon Scrambled Egg with Toast. Served flaming hot and fresh, very nice and friendly staff who know how to treat a customer and make him/her feel like you're not alone and welcome. The barista makes absolutely military grade coffee,...pure rocket fuel. Be sure to order a regular coffee with an extra shot of espresso, the batista will fire you up with pure napalm!More

Lovely, hard working staff. Everyone we spoke to there was very friendly and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The food was decent and the roasts were LOVELY!! It is a bustling, yet calm restaurant, and one that we returned to as we enjoyed it...so much. The decor is hard to place in a time era, but somehow all really works, and as a gluten free person I was able to have some delicious food!More

My family and I were on vacation and found this establishment after an excursion we did. So glad we got hungry when we did, or we would have missed this gem. We had hoped to come across some Irish staples and this was right up...our alley. From appetizers to mains, then to desserts the food had great flavour, appropriate size in portion, and presented well. Our experience overall was very pleasant and enjoyable. Yes, I would come back here the next time I'm in Dublin, Ireland. I do recommend this establishment.More

Gave us the wrong food, wrong drink and walked away (just kept talking amongst themselves about how it was the wrong order and did nothing about it). We left after waiting quite a while.

The ribs starter, and the chicken curry are the best dishes we’ve had during our week in Ireland. They are GREAT! The “sticky toffee” was just okay—too sweet.

My wife had been craving home cooking on our trip. We walked by and it looked like a popular place with a line waiting for lunch to start and decided to wait a few minutes to give it a try. That was the best food...on our trip to Europe. The only thing I could suggest to improve is the pie crust could be flakier but Devine all the same! Loved it enough to write a quick review.More

Four of us showed up Sunday evening without a reservation. Greeted at the door and shown quickly to a table. Food and drinks ordered and delivered in good time. The portions are very generous and the food very tasty. Our French server was friendly and...engaging. How can you beat it? €130 for the four of us including tip.More

Born and bred Irish and was looking forward to a bowl of stew. Worst ever. Cold and greasy, baton carrots!!! €16.95, I ask you. My concern is that tourists may think this is what Irish Stew is! Won’t be back. My friends meal was so...over cooked. Deplorable. Cabbage was so over cooked it was nearly pink. Yuk!More

The pancakes were microwaved, dry and not great. The full Irish breakfast came with tea but my friend asked for coffee (just an Americano) and she had to pay 3.80 extra and was only told this when we were paying the bill. They have zero...alternative milks, whether you’re lactose intolerant or vegan - they don’t care. Not a pleasant experience whatsoeverMore
