Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this little gem close by our hotel, Hard Rock Hotel. Literally just around the corner. Ordered take out first time round. Was packaged up beautifully and enjoyed back in our room. We ordered a Scone with jam, butter and cream. Filled Croissant with chocolate...and sprinkled nuts. Lemon Meringue and Baileys Choc chip Cheesecake. 2 treats each and both were enjoyed very much. -So much so, we returned and ate in this time. Seated inside and had a warm beverage with our chosen deserts. My partner had the Lemon Meringue (the best he’s ever tasted) and I opted for a slice of the Victoria Sponge Cake and I have to say it’s probably the best Vic’ sponge cake I’ve had also. We will be back. If you love cake, it’s a must have visit.More

Ireland and Scotland have the highest level per head of population of people who are either gluten intolerant or coeliac. There is no gluten free/ coeliac friendly lunch option at queen of tarts. I had a slice of flourless cake for lunch ! I don’t...think it would be too hard to have gluten / coeliac friendly soup or salad. The cake was fine. I didn’t go somewhere else as the friend that I ate with was tired after a morning running around. But I’ve learned my lesson, no lunch for me here.More

Stopped here with my daughter for a quick cuppa and cake. What a pleasant surprise. Great cakes and lovely pot of tea all reasonably priced. Staff attentive without being overbearing, definitely worth a visit. Only suggestion I’d have is advertise you specials outside to entice...more in & find a way to advertise where you areMore

Queen of tarts was recommended to me by the temple bar hotel reception. I am recently gluten-free, and it is a real bummer. (I guess aging is not for sissies). My daughter is vegan, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find both gluten-free and...vegan options. The hotel reception said they believed that they had these options, and they did. Did they have a huge selection of gluten-free and vegan? No. But I would rather them have one or two beautiful gluten free and vegan options each day then a whole variety of things that are not well thought out. Everything was beautiful. And the people working there are just delightful. Five stars all around!More

Both these restaurants can be recommended. Cow's Lane has a lovely outdoor area which is on a pedestrianised street - so no traffic. Lots of options for coffee and cakes. Lovely friendly staff particularly the French girl who served us last time. Great place no...matter what time of the day you visit.More

Food is fine in genral.. but for what paid, (€32 for a hot choc, ice coffee, 2 brownies (2 bites) and a stack of pancakes) we received very small protions.. My son's pancakes was burnt. We asked for butter for them, but the waitress clearly...didnt listen to us as we asked her 3 separate times. A little underwhelmed by the experience.More

Best cheesecake!!!! I have had loads of desserts in Dublin but no one has cheesecake’s like theirs. Claire is such a sugar. Located in a location easily accessible.

I think the breakfast here was by far the best for the price I found during my stay in Dublin. The staff was so lovely, even when very busy. The cakes were fine, but not spectacular, but the breakfast, coffee and tea were all perfect....Their vegetarian Irish breakfast was exactly what I needed.More

Best breakfast in the land....delish!!! Had raspberry scone and the full Irish (not called that on the menu but can't remember what they called it). Honestly could have stayed there all day eating. Bit of a queue when we got there but worth the small...wait. All the cakes looked unreal too but I'd no room left 🙈 will definitely be back for more soon.More
