Impossible to find it by chance because it is underground but once inside it is really nice, elegant but pleasantly informal. Sitting both at tables and at the bar. Indispensable to book, with OpenTable was very convenient. It does meat and fish but it's a Steakhouse, so.... I tried t bone and striploin, fried onions as side dish are not to be missed. Everything's great. Appropriate wine list for the level. Great applause to Augustus for the service, to say the least put us at ease. Between Argentines and Neapolitans then it's a moment :) Particularity brought us a cutting board with meats that are on the menu to clarify the cut and size. Top. Cost in line with the level of the room.

Very friendly welcome (you are asked how you are) and who takes care of you. Then you are presented with the meat and you choose it; soon after you have on your plate a meaty velvet to enjoy with gourmet sauces and very good accompaniments. Terrible experience!! We went for dinner tonight, the meat was good, nothing more, for what it costs a little expensive. The problem comes when we ordered a dessert that took 35 minutes to arrive. We asked for it several times and they told us that they were making it...when it arrived it was a chocolate ice cream with whipped cream. The worst thing is the attitude of the waiters, a boy and a girl who were very rude and arrogant, they did not apologize at any time, they treated us with pride and with a very strange point...we have not felt well treated, the truth is, it has been very disgusting. I certainly don't recommend it to anyone. There are a thousand places in Dublin where you can feel well treated, not like here

First of all the staff and service were excellent and also the sides were all good. Ordered a T Bone medium and was so overdone it was tough. They kindly took it back and offered me a new one which came out raw in the middle, so ended up not eating any steak except for a few pieces my son donated. I also felt the steak I did have was a little bland and wasn’t seasoned. For me it’s attempting to be a high end steak restaurant which it could be if they got the steaks right. Again, very nice restaurant with lovely staff and management.

We didn't realise they should show you a board with example meat until after our food arrived. We only knew as every other table around us was shown before they ordered. You also aren't told that your choice does not come with any side so you have to order at extra cost.
My steak was over cooked and so salty I couldn't eat it. The cauliflower was good and the diced potato with bacon was ok. I won't be returning anytime soon

Extremely disappointed, this is my 4th visit.
We waited for 70 minutes before we were served our main menu. The restaurant itself was cold, there was a draught.
Our bill came to €542. 00 for 5 people.
Our coats were produced at 8.05 pm.
After spending so much on a special night, we asked to speak with the manager.
He was a lovely guy, but not interested in what we had to say.
Therefore, anyone considering going to this restaurant, I would think of the cost beforehand.

We were a party of 5, came in very hungry!
We ordered a few starters to share, the stars were the scallops ceviche and the amazing balsamic chicken.
We then moved to the mains, two of us shared a tomahawk steak, perfectly cooked a nice medium. Others enjoyed a fillet, and two t-bones. One of the t-bones was slight overcooked.
Good wine selection and excellent service.
Overall charge was €394 for 5 people, including two bottles of wine and soft drinks.
It was our best meal in Dublin.

Amazing food and service. The 8 oz filet was delicious. Also had the scampi with chorizo that was excellent . Gus our server made great recommendations including the South African Gecko red.

The location was nice, the service too. The steak was inedible. I mean: why the hell you cook a steak on direct flame? You should heat the grill first and then cook the steak on indirect heat. If you cook a steak on direct flame the crust will burn, the maillard will contain acrolein and benzocondensates, which can cause cancer, and the meat will result raw. It was not a mistake since 11 steaks were cooked like this. If you love your customers, please change the method of cooking or just read a book about the proper process of cooking a steak.

First of all we appreciate the feedback about our location and the service.
What we don’t appreciate is you criticising our style of cooking which is clearly mentioned on our menus and also on the boards in the restaurant. Our very talented chefs have been here since day one cooking amazing meals to all our beloved customers, you can see our previous reviews if you don’t believe us. You were a group of 11 students drinking only soft drinks, including Diet Coke which the WHO’s cancer research agency have said has aspartame sweetener a possible carcinogen.I don’t see you mentioning that in your statement!

Tomahawk is a beautiful restaurant with fantastic staff and a lovely atmosphere. Very nice touch in showing customers the various cuts of meets on offer. The wine menu is excellent and of course the food menu is impressive. The starter we had was to share the Goats Cheese which was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! For mains we ordered the signature Tomahawk sharing steak cooked medium rare. Unfortunately the steak came out almost raw (the end pieces were cooked medium rare). Our server couldn't have been nicer and the raw steak was taken back to the kitchen and warmed a little further but unfortunately, on it's return, it was still well on the rare side with parts still fully raw. The quality of the meat was exceptional however. Alas, the steak was not worth the €90 on this occasion.

Went there Saturday night for a date , the manager Arvin welcomed us in a very nice manner. We had the Tomahawk for 2 and some oysters for start. The headchef Kamil did a etraordinary job with cooking and the floor staff was really nice serving the food and offering nice company to customers! Definetely will come back here! Well done people ✌️

Fantastic restaurant in the Temple Bar area next to the Clarence Hotel.
Great choice of steaks, they bring the raw meat to your table so you can see and choose your cut.
Great and extensive wine list.
Service was exceptional.

Just avoid if you know the taste of good meat. Do not go there if you have ever been in Tony Romas or FX Buckley in Dublin. I do not say any good steak house in South or Central America. That was the first steakhouse where you will never find Bloody Mary. How come ? They just do not serve it. The service is very poor there. You will never be offered salt or pepper by the waiter. Nobody cares if the steak is good or not. The waiter just do not care. The final and biggest disappointment was taste of meat they serve there. We tried 2 different steaks. None of us liked it . It was horrible.
Finally we paid 100 euro to have a steak with side dish without alcohol. Salad (side dish ) for 7euro is awful. They try to serve onion similar to Tony Romas onion ring loaf but it is too bad. They serve it with mayonnaise. Can you imagine the taste of steak with mayonnaise ? It was a very bad experience to be there. It is ok to pay 15 Euro for such dinner per head but not 50.00 each. I was in FX Buckley and they are totally different but I had no luck to make a table reservation there that day.

We would like to acknowledge your review, however many points that you state simply do not resemble our establishment. Bloody Mary's are not that common in steakhouses, Salt and Pepper is clearly on every table and does not have to be offered, our chef's care very highly for all of our 28day aged meat cooked on a state of the art Argentinian grill and all of our waiters have received top class training on all the cuts, none of our side dishes are 7 euros, our onion rings are not served with mayonnaise but a blue cheese dip that is clearly stated on the menu, and looking up Tony Roma's establishment you'll find it is not even a Dublin restaurant.
This review will be reported as hate mail as we strive daily to give our customers the best experience and our other reviewers will prove that.

We came to Dublin for one night only and hoped to find somewhere special, this place didn't disappoint. Looking through the window it looked quiet but none the less tempting.
Having secured a table the place was buzzing within ten minutes.
Everything was perfect, service from Dan, the food and ambiance all added to the experience.
We have eaten steaks across the globe but the meat here is exceptional both in size and flavour. Expertly cooked exactly as ordered.
