Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to The Pines Wednesday for dinner. It was absolutely superb. I had scampi my mom had corn beef and cabbage and my husband had turkey and ham. Clean plates all round. Not one negative about it. Staff were fabulous and such a lovely...Christmas feeling in there. Well done to all involved Top marks.More

Nice food, but extremally slow service - food served after 1 hour and 20 minutes! (at lunch time), will not visit again.

I recently went to the pines for lunch with my elderly mother and my cousin and her friends. The food there is lovely no complaints with the food or service. The only problem was my mother is in a wheelchair. She needed to use the...Toilet but unfortunately there was no wheelchair facility for her to use she cannot walk so I had to get up and just leave with her. Very embarrassing for her. We live in Meath so it wasn’t just a case of getting home quickly. Never again will I be going to the Pines.More

Ordered a chicken burger to be told the kitchen was closed even though my friends orders all came through, including another chicken burger and I was stuck with no food. And then the waitress was rude about it and acted like it wasn’t her problem....Still had to pay full price for everythingMore

Excellent food. Menu is very much pub grub but with excellent execution. We ate at around 7pm on a Wednesday and while it is a pub I had no issues having a child there. Very much a quiet local with people mainly eating. There are...a few vegetarian options and 2 dishes that aren't described as vegan but would appear to be. Fish and chips were delicious, with really fresh tasting fish in a batter that wasn't very greasy, Chips weren't frozen and were really delicious. Staff were happy to accommodate a child portion of a main meal. Cauliflower Carbonara was particularly good but the portion was massive! We will definitely return.More

I had the Sunday lunch there on 28th November, the food was luke warm and the yorkshire puddings were totally cremated, how any chef could allow them to be served beats me. Never again

Even though I live locally, it was my first time in The Pines, may I correct that, first and absolute last. I am a regular in The Morgue where the food is always first class so I guess Tom has spoilt me over the years...and I have high standards as a result. The business lunch that I had today in The Pines, roast beef was horrendous, there is no other way to describe it. The beef was full of fatty pieces, the overall meal was simply awful including presentation, am still gagging.... just avoid is all I can say.More

Visiting family on Sunday, can't find a pub that doesn't serve "carvey". Had dinner here before so wasn't worried. 5 adults & 2 children, tagliatelle with prawns & scallops & chilled, tuna, pork, beef burgers & kids meals ordered. Empty plates all around 👏 We...shared a mix of desserts, all fantastic, no room for coffee. Second visit will definitely be backMore
