We were invited to this restaurant by a local business friend. They have a variety of dished on the menu but we all went for the pizzas since this restaurant has a traditional and authentic Italian wood fired pizza oven. You do not invest in an oven like this if you plan to serve lousy pizzas...
This turned out to be right, all the pizzas we had were pretty descent also considering we are not in Naples - which is the Champion League - and sets the bar for me. Good crust and balanced, border could have more air in it (meaning the dough more leavened).
Remarkably, there are only a few pizzas on the menu. One would think that given the combinations you can make with a few ingredients there would be more, but that is not the case. OK for me but not very usual.
All together, a pleasant evening on a weekday. A plus is the broad variety of beers they have on tap. Pricing is also good for what you get.

The restaurant is in a beautiful building and it has a nice buzz about the place. Staff were good and friendly.
I ordered the Pappardelle, Braised Beef Ragu, Balsamic Shallots and Aged Pecorino for the main and it was a plate that was 95% pasta with at least half going uneaten as I got fed up just eating pasta towards the end.
My girlfriend ordered the Orecchiette Le Melanzane, Grilled Eggplant, Tomato, Burrata and Basil and when the waiter took her plate away it also had a lot of pasta remaining that she thought was undercooked.
Won't be back as the area has plenty of restaurants and they need to get the main course somewhat balanced rather than filling us up with the cheap ingredients to maximise their profits.
The interior, atmosphere and minestrone soup are worth 2 of the 3 stars.

Hidden gem in the Temple Bar scene. From the outside it is unassuming, as you traverse upstairs it still appears to lead to nothing much but then.... Boom! It opens up into a vast open airy and cosy dining space extravaganza. High lofty ceilings, exposed brick. The bar is the centre piece de resistance. There is a high energy in the place but it's not overwhelming or typical of the Temple Bar booze culture. It's more like a New York warehouse feel. The bathrooms are effin deadly buzz 👌
Now for the food. Last night my mate and I both opted for pizza. We were all sorts of impressed. The only downside on mine was there wasn't enough n'duja sausage, a wee scattering under an immense amount of cheese. I love cheese though and there was even cheese on the cheese after it was wood fired. My mate had the veggie and there was ample toppings and way less cheese. Again I love cheese I wasn't complaining but in case someone else reading this opts for the n'duja check your cheese tolerance and make that known to the waiter 😉 also I could not taste the honey so maybe ask for a drizzle at the table too. The garlic aioli fries were crispy and golden. The sauce the right amount of garlicy and more cheese on top.
I've had the featherblade here before and that was a taste explosion and oh so tender as a young bovine can be. The charcuterie board is a good share option for a starter, maybe ask for more bread, two teeny slices does not fit the meat, pesto and veggie ratio as there is an abundance on the plate.
The staff are so friendly and attentive. They are great for helping with choices. We weren't drinking but I could not help but observe how one guy went out of his way to recommend wine pairings and offered a taste of both his recommendation and the wine they had originally asked for so they could make their own call. They went with his choice!
Across from Bad Bobs and up a couple of flights of stairs (lift available also) behind the magic door Roberta's will deliver on taste, freshness, friendliness and by the looks of it amazing cocktail choices and caters for one and all. New favourite restaurant in town for sure 💯

Unfortunately a very disappointing night. From the time we were seated, it took 20mins to get someone’s attention just to order drinks. Starters consisted of merely 2 overdone scallops for €15 each. It then took 25 minutes between courses for food to arrive which was cold. Bucatini was dry, lamb shank was extremely fatty. Had to ask for desert menus which didn’t even arrive until we asked a second staff member. Ultimately left the restaurant extremely disappointed and still hungry. Would easily say it was the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. We were told the reason the service was so bad was because they were down 2 staff members. There were multiple empty tables beside us, and regardless, a customer should not have to notice if a restaurant is short staffed. To be fair, our waitress admitted the service was poor and apologised. Would not recommend.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with us today. A member of our team had to undergo emergency surgery, and with other staff on annual leave, we were left short and had to try our best. I'm extremely sorry that negatively impacted your evening with us and that an explanation of our unfortunate circumstances, a discount on your bill, and a sincere apology was not enough to make amends for the emergency situation we found ourselves having to deal with this evening.

We were there on Saturday night
Food was ok
Got pasta and was not even aldante with 2 tiny pieces of fish
Very poor food
Overcharged on a round of drinks which they agreed with
Over priced and poor quality
Seven of us went there and will not go back
Staff who served us were less than polite to us
A bad experience.
They need a better process and better manager with a talk to whoever cooked the pasta

Starters were good, pizza 1 out 3 was good, steaks were not good, overpriced over cooked, 1 sent back to kitchen as it was overcooked and replacement was just as bad, steak sides of gratin were disgusting undercooked and tasted of soap, Garlic Aioli Fries were smothered could barely find the fries. Caramel delight was the only excellent item. Service was average at best.

This place is trendy and good vibe and attentive service but the food is dreadful. We had booked a table for 4 weeks ago. When we arrived we were told no pizzas because of the storm the day before!! Asked if they put on any specials to compensate for no pizzas but No. Very limited menu. Portions tiny. Grossly overpriced. I don’t know who cooks the food here but it can’t be qualified chefs.

I dined in Da Robertas with a party of nine on Saturday the 18/2/23
While the food was pretty good and reasonably priced the service was very poor.
Three of our party ordered Pizzas and these were served about 10 minutes after the other main courses were served. Also the Pizzas were not properly sliced and the table knifes were not suitable for cutting pizzas. This resulted in people struggling to slice their pizzas. We also brought a birthday cake with us which we left with the staff at reception. When we had the main course finished we requested a staff member to bring out the birthday cake it took over 30 minutes and two further requests before the cake was finally brought to our table. While the staff were friendly there clearly were not sufficient staff rostered to manage a busy Saturday night.

Back in April I booked a dinner party here for 20 guests for my sisters hens. Today I get a phone call to basically say it is being cancelled giving me 2 weeks notice. And incase you are wondering why it is being cancelled it is because someone more important with more money has booked out the whole venue. The guy tried to offer me a booking in another restaurant from their portfolio which was 30 minutes away with a dearer menu. And when I questioned that he said that's all he could find with 2 weeks notice. Thanks Roberta's for ruining our weekend. I can safely say I will never cross your door. And to anyone reading this if you are thinking of booking here for a large group.... DONT! Absolute shambles!!

Hi Deborah,
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience which unfortunately happens when a corporate client books out the entire venue through our head office sales team. As you mentioned, we did our best to try to relocate your booking nearby venue but we were not able to assist you. I'm sorry to hear how negatively this impacted your weekend.

I've been to this place with a Muslim coulple. They asked for a 4 cheese pizza, which as the name suggested (4 cheese) shouldn't contain any trace of pork. However, the pizza came full of Bacon. We asked to change the Pizza but a Male Manager from Brazil (who was wearing a blue shirt) said that he didn't want to change as we didn't read the menu properly. He act as he was a Professor straight Beverly Hills culinary school
At that point we decided to say nothing , finish out beer and go to Sano Pizza where 4 cheese is made of 4 simple cheese, no Bacon! The only regret I have is that I used to reccomend this place to many visitors who came to the hotel where I work, never anymore, as long as the attitude is the one protraited by that guy who pretend to be a fanatical Beverly Hills manager!

Hey David
Thanks for sharing your feedback. I am deeply sorry to hear about your experience. In fact, our four cheese pizza has a bit of Nduja Sausage as described on the menu, our waiter probably missed the timing to inform your party. We are always working to improve service and as a standard of the restaurant we always change any dish if there is something wrong with it. I'll definitely investigate what happened on the night and make sure it is all fixed.
If you have any more comments please do not hesitate in sharing them with me at henrique@robertas.ie
Once again our sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding.

We booked here with family for a relaxing lunch. The venue is beautiful, staff friendly and attentive and the food is good for what it is. Menu fairly limited especially as vegetarians. The one issue we had which is the reason I rated 3 instead of 4 is the policy of insisting that each person must order a main course. This is just ridiculous and encouraging food waste, myself and my wife were happy to share a pizza with a couple of sides, but we couldn’t do this. For this reason we won’t be back unless this policy is stopped, otherwise is a nice place.

Hi there,
Thank you very much for your rating, we really appreciated it.
It is possible to share pizza, side or have an aperitif at the tables near the bar or have a proper dinner in the restaurant room.
We offer both possibilities.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

With a group of colleagues we had dinner in this Italian restaurant. Biased as I am, compared to Italian food as it is revisited abroad, after pinching a few olives and sliced from appetizers, I took the steak that comes accompanied by the inevitable sauce and potato pie and, apart from the garlic chips - the famous garlic chips as they do in Italy, huh? A sambuca with two coffee beans closes my meal while my colleagues smash a tiramisu that... Well look at the picture. Very small wine list, with only a couple of options from Italy, but I liked Chianti Rufina.

I wouldn't normally write reviews as I never have bad enough experiences to feel it's warranted, however my experience here recently was very poor.
For a start, It should be made very clear that everyone must order a main course meal with their drink. We weren't aware of this until a quite rude waiter/management told us as if it were obvious. There is no mention of this rule when booking, in the menu, by the hostess- no where
We also found that after our second cocktail the drinks menu was removed from our table for no reason ....even though we bought food and complied to their rules.
Waitress also made an error when charging for the bill but refunded the mistake by tossing the coins on the table and walking off carelessly.
Their only saving grace is the very pleasant hostess and nice cocktails.
Dismal service, dismal menu and arrogant staff....I only wish we had of left earlier...

Hi,
It states clearly in your confirmation email that all guests must order on main course. It would not be financially viable for us to open as a restaurant if we accepted drinks only bookings with our current capacity reduced by 90% due to government restrictions.
I'm sorry that this tarnished your experience with us and hope you'll join us again once indoor dining resumes and we can facilitate drinks only bookings.

Extremely slow service, multiple mistakes with drink orders and in some cases drinks didn't arrive. Forty-five minutes waiting to receive our first ordered drinks. The food was just about okay. The one vegetarian dish (that wasn't pizza) wasn't available. The high price in no way matched the mediocre standard of the food.
This is a good place for a drink, if you're sitting at the bar. Its a fantastic room.

Lovely staff but struggling I’d say to make a poor experience seem less bad. Food just wasn’t good, well pizzas just weren’t good enough for the price, we didn’t try other dishes. Waited 30 minutes for drinks and longer for the bad value pizza. Come on man, don’t let the city down…
