Quick bite with the family whilst passing through Dun Laoghaire.
The mash-up with Little Dumplings was probably the highlight. Decent, well-flavoured dumplings with some condiments (no option to add more sauce though?!)
The Char Sui Long Bao was dry and disappointing - we really were...looking forward to the soup dumplings... The Beef Spring Onion dumpling was a bit more successful although should be at €7 a portion.
Noodles and rice dishes were average and no better than most any other reasonable take away.
By the way, you may be misled with the reference to Kyoto - the menu on the day was more Chinese than Japanese...More
Put in an order on just eat for collection, order did not go through when got to shop so said I will just order what I thought I had placed,so the girl took my order then was charged just eat prices not the 10e any...dish advertised on the window for any dish. So 9e extra for 2 dishes, good way to keep you coming back !!!!!!More
I couldn't recommend their sushi enough! So cheap and always the best quality. I order here 3 times a week as its the healthiest option. The only thing that I can find fault in is I wish their containers were more sustainable! Would make me...feel much better ordering there so much!More
We ordered takeaway (as that’s all we can do in lockdown) hoping for a nice meal with the kids. We ordered special fried rice which was tasteless, special noodles which were like giant worms with no flavour and we asked for the crispy chilli chicken...but instead of chicken we asked for crispy prawn....we didn’t get that, we got horrendous wet prawn dish and the prawns weren’t coated. Needless to say we ate barely any of it, yet paid €53!!! Total waste of money - will be sticking with Saba for our Thai food in futureMore
I’ve been here more than 20 times and love the food and again today it was really good. We had chicken gyoza and pad Thai, yellow prawn curry which was very good.
But all this is let down by the fact that the door has...been faulty for the last few months and it’s just freezing when it won’t close properly. SERIOUSLY!!!!!! Lads just get it fixed as we won’t be back until it is.More
Having eaten in here before on a number of occasions we decided to pop in on Valentines evening to see if they had a table available. We walked in and two staff members looked at us and then turned they’re backs. It was so unprofessional...and I can guarantee I won’t eat here ever again and won’t ever recommend! Such a shame because the food was good but bad service always outweighs it!More
Visited for anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. We both opted for the €10 lunch deal; including a main, water and ice cream. Main meals were fine and service was quick. However, we were told we wouldn't be allowed the ice cream as the machine was...broken. Seemed unfair to have sold us this promotion without telling us this in advance or even offering us a discount or something else in exchange. Very annoyed. Wouldn't return.More
We used to live near Kyoto and would go there most weekends. Being in the area for the first time since moving, we went for dinner in there and it was awful. The Singapore noodles dish was tasteless/bland. I had asked for it extra spicy...also and it had no heat. The noodles themselves were rubbery and nothing like before. The Pad Thai was equally as bland.
The food seems to have changed completely. I'm not sure what's changed here but it's not good. We'd be very hesitant to return, in fear of getting such a bad meal again, even though we used to love it.More
