A group had Christmas party here. They offered a la carte menu (for the fussier eaters amongst us) as well as the group menu. The food was delicious from start to finish, which is not always the case in restaurants in the run up to Christmas. There are steps up to the restaurant and more steps up to the bathrooms... More

This was a wonderful lunch on a Sunday afternoon. A lovely atmosphere and it was close to Christmas so there was a good buzz in the early afternoon. A little disappointed as a starter that 2 of the party wanted was no longer available but everyone declared the alternatives to be excellent. All main courses were wonderfully presented and enjoyed... More

We waited just inside the door for the front of house guy to return to his station. 5 min later he returns grumpy and then seats the couple who walked in just moments ago Finally seated in cramped conditions. Wine list is poor in my opinion so we opt for some prosecco and a bottle of red. My ceviche tuna... More

Went with 6 other friends for Christmas dinner on a Sunday .Service was slow although the waitress was pleasant although she went missing and we had to keep looking for drinks and food ! Food was terrible . The crab starter was mainly a salad with 'no taste' at all .The prawns were the same ! Main course fish was... More

Went with my family for the Christmas 3 course menu for 59 euro for daughters December birthday. The starters were ok, 4 main course fish were luke warm, charging for 2 small pots of veg extra is ridiculous . Deserts were average, but charging 9.30 euro for 2 coffees is too much. I had ordered a birthday plate, but instead they slapped on... More

The Cliff Townhouse was an unplanned delight. After a rather bizarre experience at a restaurant that preferred not to serve us because we were a few minutes early, we started searching for a place to eat dinner at prime time on a Saturday evening just before Christmas. The staff at the Townhouse were gracious when we showed up without reservations.... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant. The setting is quite nice. It is fairly formal and quiet enough to easily hear your dinner companion. There were many people in business attire. The waitstaff was attentive and, like so many service people we have experienced in Dublin, very friendly and eager to assist. The menu had two sides, fixed price and... More

Pre-Christmas lunches put a strain on Dublin 2 restaurants, given which the service today, good by any standard, was exceptional. My wife who has become alcohol intolerant queried the sherry dressing so they served it separately for her to try. A second glass of wine for me was ordered by semaphore in the noisy bustle and the waiter did not... More

Our trip leader raved about this palce but it certainly didn't live up to its supposed reputation in my estimation. I've experienced a lot of fine dining, being quite a foodie, but I didn't find this to be anything unusual. It was very crowded, noisy, and the service left a lot to be desired. I've never seen such a small... More
