A cold, but dry, November mid-morning, on our way to The Irish National Gallery we chose to stop for late breakfast at Tangs. It was heaving, which for a small place is not difficult. "We can get you in, about 15 minutes, if you want...to wait at a table outside", said the helpful waiter. We did ordering coffees that arrived with heavily filled hot water bottles. Were they fill ups for the coffee, no, but they worked a treat buttoned up inside our coats, though we both looked 9 months gone. By the time the food was ready, a table had been vacated, well before the water bottle had cooled, or the waters had broken. The grub was fantastic, good value for the level and culinary skill that had been used. Scrambled eggs with imaginative nuts, chilli and who knows what else that raised eggs towards a heavenly level. My Shakshuka, a dish I have never encountered outside the Middle-East, except in my kitchen in the UK. was a triumph that would make the chefs of Beirut, Tel Aviv, Cairo etc squirm with jealousy. Well done Tang. Would we go back, indeed we would/did, the next and last morning of our trip to Dublin. We couldn't get enough, not the hot water bottles, the grub. And to answer my own question, extremely tangy. Big recommendation Any chance you can open in my neck of the woods?More

Picture this: A very cold, very rainy February morning. Immediately greeted with a complementary hot water bottle to warn up! The staff were incredibly attentive, accommodating and friendly! Coffee was very tasty! We were looking for a full Irish breakfast but we are so glad...we came here instead! The food was INCREDIBLE and very affordable for Dublin City! Pictured below is the mushrooms on toast (normally comes with eggs but I asked for it without) and fried eggs on toast. 10/10- what a cosy, wholesome experience!More

Excellent place to eat. We wanted a quick bite in the morning before touring Dublin. The staff was super nice, the food and coffee were great and the food was also beautiful. I would definitely go back.

They refused to let us dine inside for no reason, they offered the table outside with soaking wet chairs. Instead of giving us 2 separate tables inside.

Popped into Tang after we saw a couple of breakfasts getting served outside. They looked delicious! This place did not disappoint. I had the mushroom toast and it was so good! Loved the beet root sauce and the chili crisp garnish. Lots of healthy AND...delicious items on the menu! The coffees were perfect! Loved the playlist and the service was attentive without being up in your grill. Highly recommend!More

Just what I was looking for. Great, tasty, fuss-free healthy breakfast. Small place but we fit six of us around a small table and ordered healthy tasty breakfast. Mushrooms on toast were the best. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic breakfast at Tang. A number of delicious options are available, but we both opted for the mushrooms on toast. a generously sized piece of sourdough with delicious mushrooms and north african flavours and spices and pesto. Unsurprising that there were few...open tables.More

Incredible food today and OUTSTANDING staff. The only thing I noticed was that the staff are working in very hot conditions with hot plates and surrounded by glass. An electric fan would be an easy thing to place near the staff to protect their health...and well-being. It’s the considerate thing to do in my opinion. Great otherwise!More

Visited the Dawson Street Tang while on holiday with my partner and two young children. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable and food was excellent. Really tasty and healthy to boot. Should we visit Dublin again, we will return! If you are visiting The Little Museum...of Dublin then it’s right next door and I would recommend combining the two as both were memorable and well worth a visit.More
