I visited this restaurant in February 2020 staying locally on business etc. It was early on a Friday evening when I went (18.00) but the restaurant was already very busy and, indeed, the waiter (genuinely) asked me if I had a reservation. This was unusual in my experience at this time of the evening for any restaurant
The Rasam offered an "early-doors" meal which I chose and this was excellent, good value and service was to match. The menu also offered different dishes to what I'm used to in Cheshire
It was simply a good experience and I would thoroughly recommend the Rasam (which the local Hotel, the Royal Marine, also recommended)

Have dined in Rasam many, many times—but have never had a takeaway before today. Delighted to report that the food and service were as fantastic as they always are. The duck rolls were divine, the lamb was delicious—all went well with a nice Chianti. Well done to Nisheeth and staff for keeping up very high standards at this difficult time—and glad to see they’re being kept busy. We went in to restaurant to order, but most people seemed to be phoning in and then either having food brought to them in their car, or dropping in to collect. Will be back very soon!

We were delighted to discover our favourite Indian restaurant had come up with a safe contactless way to continue to serve their customers in spite of the current restrictions. We ordered by phone and then the food was brought out and placed safely in the boot of the car so we could bring our favourite Rasam dishes home for dinner tonight. It meant so much to us and restored a more normal feeling in this anxious time. And of course the food was amazing. Superb food and service regardless of the obstacles - thank you to the team at Rasam.

We enjoyed exceptional food in these strange times.The team at Rasam made ordering and collection a streamlined exercise with very conscientious delivery of the food to the car boot . While dining in Rasam is consistently a wonderful experience , having the restaurant’s fine food at home was also a treat . Each dish was delicious .

We were looking for a place open on Sunday for take-away for a special birthday dinner and came across "Rasam". The food which we ordered by email giving our telephone number, was delivered to the car outside at the given time, having been given an order number.
The food was delicious and there was enough left over for my dinner the following night.
I will certainly try "Rasam" when the restaurants are open again!

The manager and the other staff of the restaurant were very rude and unprofessional. We were trying to book the restaurant for 6pm as we have little kids and they were pushing us for 8:30 pm. But it would be so late for us so we were flexible for any weekend from now to December. But they said they don't have any weekend available at that time ever. How unbelievable!!! I was so disappointed about their customer service, not a child friendly restaurant at all 😳

This is one of our favourite restaurants in the world. We have travelled extensively and constantly look for good restaurants, I’m delighted that Ireland has one of the best Indian restaurants. The food is fresh, spices authentic and fresh, presented well and by friendly professional staff. We wish them every good wish for the future.

Went for dinner on Saturday arrived at 8.15 and was given a choice of tables the restaurant was quite busy but we settled on a booth beside the window. Since COVID the tables are all social distanced and all have perspex screens separating the tables and plenty of available space. Our server was very professional and we sought her advise on a wine from the Czech Republic and it was good. We Had the Pork and chicken to start the Pork was really delicious. Our server recommended the Chicken with peppers and it was delicious. We had no room for desert but had a couple of very well made Irish coffees a wonderful meal in a very comfortable and modern Indian restaurant . This is well worth a visit and look forward to our return visit

Our 90km round trip from Kildare for a birthday celebration was certainly worth it!
Rasam is authentic and daring using real Indian spices and ingredients to create a delightful experience.
From Old Delhi Butter Chicken to Guntur Kodi Kura , you can experience flavours of the North and the South of India.
Unusual spices like Stone Flower and fresh (yes fresh!) curry leaves authenticate the food.
Great friendly service with tables laid out so you are not literally rubbing shoulders with complete strangers, and subdued lighting make for a relaxing dining experience.
Thanks to all at Rasam for a memorable evening in the depths of January.
We will return to savour the many other appetising choices.

My wife and I have been regularly visiting Rasam’s since it opened in 2003. I am new to these trip advisor reviews so in all my 18 years visiting this fantastic restaurant I have never written a review (although have recommended this restaurant numerous times to family, friends and work colleagues). So I thought it about time to remedy that ! The food is consistently of the highest quality, the ingredients always taste so fresh and the innovative dishes never fail to impress us. The staff are always so friendly and attentive and so well trained by Nisheeth that one can see his personal touch over how the staff conduct themselves. One can see what pride Nisheeth takes in his restaurant and ensuring customers have a lovely experience. A special mention also to Rohit who has worked there for many years and whose customer service is top notch (not to mention his great sense of humour!). Simply put this is a gem of a restaurant which my wife, son (who has grown up over those 18 years visiting the restaurant) and I have returned to time and time again.

Im so looking forward to getting back to Rasam. I have missed it dearly. My taste buds are on fire just thinking about my first meal I will have there. The chefs are excellent, and hopefully they are all the same ones coming back, and hopefully the same waiters and waitresses. They are excellent. My favourite is the Lithuanian lady Jolanda who always gives perfect service. See you all soon.

We got a take away for 6 people to celebrate a special occasion. The chilli pork starter was delicious and the various chicken dishes were equally flavoursome. We also enjoyed the various colourful side dishes. The ordering and collection was very straightforward. While we miss the ambiance of the lovely restaurant and its friendly team, it is good to support local businesses during this strange time.

Great News .Rasam is Open for Takeaway. I was so relieved when I heard During my isolation that Rasam was open for takeaway. I rang in my order and decided to collect it . So all I needed to do was ring when I was outside and immediately Nisheeth Tak the proprietor came down and put it in my boot. My family had a wonderful Saturday night feast. The last time i was in the restaurant I loved the starters , Spinach Leaves , magic mushrooms , Spicy Chicken but this time we decide to just have main courses.
So I had a gorgeous spicy butter chicken and rice and a lovely garlic naan. Anne had a wonderful Lamb curry. We also had a spicy pork which was so tasty. And we had some very special vegan dishes. This was as good as I have ever had. It made the isolation a bit more bearable.

We’ve ordered a takeaway from Rasam yesterday. I was very much looking forward to it, given all the rave reviews and a great experience I had myself when I had a meal there last year.
Alas, it was a bit underwhelming.
Our starters (calamari for me and pork chilly fry for my husband) were great. But the mains (Badami Murgh and Chettinad Chicken) were lacking in richness and texture. The sauce was too liquidy and fat bubbles were flowing on top. Maybe I’m wrong but I was expecting a lot more flavours, and creaminess/thickness that leaves you full at the end. I was hoping for some leftovers too, but that’s less disappointing. For 55 euro bill (with discount!) I expected better.

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our daughters birthday and we were not disappointed with this wonderful restaurant!. It was doubtless the best Indian food we have had locally and the service we got was second to none. Fantastic! Our head waiter went to great lengths to explain each dish on the menu making sure we chose the right dish and we really appreciated that. Overall a brilliant evening and look forward to returning in the future.
