This was literally the only place in town serving food in the afternoon; good size menu but basic food at a decent price. The ladies were very pleasant who worked there (perhaps owners?).

I dropped in on a Friday lunchtime, place was empty, not good as it's on a busy road near the biggest fishing port in Ireland. Only wanted light breakfast, but they only do the big version. No coffee with it , no fresh coffee available.... Commercial...suicide! It is a chip shop laid out like a café, mostly fried food. My chips were fresh, but the eggs, bacon and beans were microwaved! Horrendous. Avoid Avoid Avoid!More

For a small town the cafe was pleasant and the fish and chips was quite good, although not great as in Killybegs, just down the road

Don’t let the terrible graphics throw you off. This is a GREAT PLACE TO EAT. Who ever did their printing chose red and black on yellow that makes one think of a cheap Café. The food is wonderful. One of us had fish and chips......nicely fried fish (and too hot to eat when it arrived) with crispy potatoes ( 8.30 euros) The other had Donor Kebab ( 5 euros) which was spiced lamb served in pita with grilled peppers and onions and garlic mayo with chilli sauce. (The prices are about 0.50 euros less if you ask for take-away.) If you are in the area, stop here. Lots of locals do.More

Great takeaway. You may have a little wait but worth it as it's all cooked to order. Options to eat in or takeout

This cafe is actually located in the village of Dunkineely about 10 miles west of Donegal Town on the N56. Great place for any meal of the day, but especially for breakfast or lunch. Food is well prepared and equally well priced. Excellent value. The...service is friendly and efficient. One may either sit to be served or order takeout at the counter. Excellent place to stop along the Wild Atlantic Way.More

Had a delicious fish and chip meal here the batter was light and crispy, and the chips were delicious and we didn't get robbed. Two meals and tea for less than €18 who can fault that. Keep up the good work this was our third...visit and we will be back again without a doubt. Thank you Baskins you are one of the few good fish and chip shops in the county.More

Very nice homemade chips and the best fish and chips in Ireland. Good sized portions too. Quick service waiting between 10 and 15 minutes. You really get your moneys worth as prices are reasonably cheap.

Only eat here if you are very hungry otherwise you will leave half of it behind you on the plate! Vanessa, our server, was really nice & friendly. Everything is freshly cooked so you might have a little wait but it is really worth it....This is Family Chipper & it it is always busy. I first ate here around 30 years ago, that was when I left half of my food behind me. Whenever I get a longing for good fish & chips, maybe 2 or 3 times a year I drive down to Baskins, there's none better for flavour, quantity & quality!More
